      Thanks Tim... I am trying to get through the dozen WIP in my cupboard... instead of starting something new, which is often what makes me happy. But each of my WIP were bought because I wanted that kit.. so I have no excuse not to be happy.

    Hell Harry I completely missed the fact that you are moving! Your video "Harry's move to the city" has just popped up so need to watch that! The hobby room looks great mate, nice set up. Great stash too my friend, some wonderful kits there. looking forward to your first 'build' video from teh new place. I hope you are well sir and the mojo is rearing to go.

    One chair Harry!!! Its the best thing I have ever done, you can always pull another chair from another room if someone comes over. Given what you say you do in that room ( Work bench And New Kits), its probably best to have people in another room anyway unless their paying to watch.

    • @HarryHoudiniModels
      @HarryHoudiniModels  5 років тому

      Good in theory but there is no space in the other rooms... this place is under 70 sqm so half my garage is full of things which just did not fit.

    Great looking work/moderling area Harry. We all would like a warehouse but were stuck with what area.room we have lol. Just updating a spray cupboard waiting on my two smaller spray booths it will give a better sparing area. And good luck with the sale of you kits’ I have been doing the same.

      Many of the kits I bought 5 years ago are not what I am into these days... so I pull older kits out of the stash all the time to sell... according to scalemates I have sold 150 kits over that time!

    Spotted your Supermodel CANT 506 Seaplane, I have most of the same kit in my stash, had to liberate some parts to replace ones I botched in the Italeri updated kit. (The updated kit contains a more detailed cockpit and crew compartment as well as photo etched parts, if you go on the italeri site you should be able to get those sprues as spares and build a more modern take on the subject)

    • @HarryHoudiniModels

    The new room looks great... I'm looking forward to seeing your next build. In one of your ship builds you used a salt water wash. Who makes it? Thanks for taking the time...

    • @HarryHoudiniModels
      @HarryHoudiniModels  5 років тому

      Hi Jason. The salt wash I used was from the Lifecolor Liquid Pigments range for detailing ships. There is a video from Lifecolor on UA-cam showing how to use all their Liquid Pigment washes.

    Had to laugh. I bought the LTD 1/48 PZL P.11c, not sure if that's the kit you reference at the end; but there's so much work required due to the poor molding that I debated the same thing you did. I agree, just get a better kit. Perhaps make this one as a ceiling hanger for one of my baby nephews.
    Really nice work area, and to have your stash organized on shelves instead of stacked on the floor, how great that must be.

    • @HarryHoudiniModels
      @HarryHoudiniModels  5 років тому

      Thanks Kem... organising the stash has been a long time coming, so while moving house, I put each make in a different packing box. Then when I unpacked the boxes they just went easily into seperate sections, in order for a change.

    Harry, you said you were parting with some of your kits. Are they listed on eBay?
    I've started playing bolt action up here in Bundy, I'd be keen on any 1:48 scale WWII armour that you would consider surplus to your requirements.

    • @HarryHoudiniModels
      @HarryHoudiniModels  5 років тому

      No 1:48 Armour, or any armour kits for sale mate, sorry. Just a heap of WWI 1:72 and 1:48 aircraft I’ve bought better or bigger scale versions of... so they got pulled out of the stash cupboard to clear space for the kits I really want to build.

      The hull is in 4 parts.... the bow section halves are 13 inches long and the stern halves 9.5 inches long each... so would not fit in the 17 inch long box otherwise being 22.5 inches (572mm) in total length.

      Hi Steve.. some of the old classic kits like my Airfix are great builds, if you can find them, which can be super detailed if you choose. Both Amoshima and Tamiya make a nice range of motorcycle kits, but mostly modern versions. Italeri make a few older bikes and I have my eye on a WWII Triumph kit at the LHS.

      I have two more racks with all my Lifecolor and Tamiya. About 100 more paint jars. But they are currently on the floor until I work out a better place to sit them. I missed showing them in the video because they were at my feet. I also have an artist paint box under the spray booth full of primers and thinners.
