Sir, you have a great set up, a place for everything and everything in its place, it does remind I must re-arrange/tidy my desk, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia.
Thanks for sharing always great to see these bench tours. Helps by giving new ideas to old spaces . ✌🇨🇦✌
It's always great to see how other modellers set up their work benches, their stashes and display cabinets.....and how similar we are (in most cases!). You certainly have a neat set up. Will look forward to that Ju 52 build video in the future.
Very true!! Workbench tours are some of my favourite videos to watch. Glad you are looking forward to the junker :)
Very cool, wish my workstation was this tidy 😂
Trust me mate, took quite a while to clean it up for this video haha 😅
Loved seeing your set up. All the custom racks and shelves are ingenious. I’d love hear more about how you made them. I’ve tried working with plexiglass on similar ideas but never had good luck.
So glad you like them! I might do a video specifically on them at some point in the future, but essentially they have all been kept as simple as possible - the tamiya rack is a sheet of MDF with slots cut in at regular intervals with a circular saw - which was a little thicker than the 1.5mm acrylic, so I added a bit of PVC tape to the edges in order to wedge them in. Then it was just a case of cutting s bunch of regular sized strips of the stuff. As for the Vallejo rack, it's literally a bunch of holes in a sheet of 20mm MDF, with 8mm aluminium rods sticking out
Awesome video as always! You forgot the discord plug tho ;) A little bit disappointed there was no real face reveal... Jokes aside awesome video! And those 6.34K subs are well deserved!
Thank you very much mate! Don't worry, the face reveal will come in due course lol
better late than never :D you have a very organised space! thanks for the tour !
ammo crate !! Brilliant storage matey.. needs weathering though hahah.. Thanks for the video, love your setup
Great workbench! I have the same glas display. Good idea with the hooks and nylon thread, I think I have to do this too 😅
I missed this in my notifications, your arrangement is far better than mine 😂, looks good and congrats on 5000 and 6000 subs.
Cool place mate. :)
Your "ammo box" is the same type i got a couple of, from my service, but they contained 5.56s. I wonder where I have those? Were watertight and all, with a rubber seal. Pretty good stuff!
I picked up an Ammo Can for 81mm Mortar Rounds, it stands about 2 1/2 feet tall, near perfect for Wood Stock Brass and steel wire and Rod.
That sound's brilliant! IMO they are the best way of storage for us modellers haha
Nice setup thanks for video , how did you cut the acrylic sheet
Thanks! Band saw + belt sander for the spray booth, and just a chop saw for the shelves :)
i have looked at your stash.... after the ju52, could you build the westland sea king or the airfix grumman duck? Both thought they were quite interesting and would be interesting to see
ooo build that chernobyl kit!
Currently working on it as a side project now! Got a diorama planned as well hehe...
Wowww nice! I’m curious about that spray booth… where u get the idea?
Thanks! Just saw the acrylic sheet in a hardware store, and was searching for spray booths at the time - light bulb moment lol. Glad you like it!
@@ModellingWeekly you are a talented modeler 😃👍🏻 I just do like the idea, looks like the air stream goes down, maybe I’m trying to replicate 😂👊🏼
Well now I feel like my desk looks like a rubbish patch. I need to get it a bit more organised lol. That's a cool spray booth as well
Mine wasn't pretty before tidying up for the video haha! Glad you like it mate
@@ModellingWeekly well. That's fair. It's not rally a lace of modelling if its 100% clean
Hi, what did you use to hold on place acrylic racks? Some glue or what? Thanks.
I actually didn't use any glue funnily enough, as the shelves were pretty much the same thickness as the grooves I cut. Basically, I just wrapped a piece of PVC tape over one end, and wedged the shelves in!
@@ModellingWeekly I like the simplicity of your racks and I'm planning to do something similar myself. So, how do I cut those grooves?
@@arsodo2865 Basically I managed to find a circular saw blade that was (roughly) the same width as the acrylic, so I simply did a few cuts down the length of the MDF - however, if you don't have a circular saw, you'll probably have to get a company to do it, as I can't think of a manual solution unfortunately - glad you like it btw!
@@ModellingWeekly thanks for the help! I hope I'll find the way to deal with it somehow))
i hope you enjoyed the video guys! More builds coming soon :)
Amazing how you progressed fella, i remember when you had a squeaky voice. loved your new MiG build so much so i just splurged on some 1/144 kits. its a great scale hope you do some more when funds allow.
take it easy bud
edit ps i knew you was ginger
@@vasili1207 Thank you so much man, I really do appreciate the long-term support :) Yeah haha, my voice back then was something else xD Stay safe mate
