I stopped playing WoW for almost a year during Shadowlands. Your videos and theories always kept me coming back to WoW lore and ultimately, it became so interesting that I wanted to jump back in to look at it myself! So i’m glad you’re sticking around, it’s always a joy to see a video from you!
Oh man.. I stopped before BFA ended and I’m still here keeping up with the lore. I’ve read many wow books and love the lore so the speculation is one of my favorite things to listen to.
Lorthraxxon willing drank of the light. the dreadlords can assimilate whatever cosmic force they are infiltrating. So I'm still sus on him, we know the Dreadlords can play the long con.
each power shifts between each other we saw this in Afterlives: Ardenweald and Ardenweald questing with live and death, we see it in the Naaru ALL the time, we see it in Titans with Fel. Certain things in each are affixed to themselves obviously, but they all seem to have a natural shifting, and each are trying to beak free on their struggle
I just want to say Acco, I really appreciate your vids. I used to come through the chat as Zantorialt years ago on twitch. My life has gotten kinda wild over the years so I don't really have much time to actually sit down and chat or comment or whatever, but I just want to say I've never stopped following and watching the channel. Your videos keep me interested and following WoW, and I try to never miss one. Thanks for always having such fun theories and keeping things entertaining. You're awesome man.
I can’t only catch you live-stream occasionally, but I’m always excited to see a new video listed! Can’t wait for this xpac and your theories to unfold over time.
I will always support creators like accco that might be small become one of the largest in their area. I always watch 100% every video and will rewatch it multiple times later. It’s something I can sleep to and turn on and listen to in the back ground while I do other things.
I do like the idea that each forces' opposite are in some sort of way able to shift to the opposite. We have Sargeras going from Order to Fel, Naaru going from Light to Fel, and if we are to believe that Old Gods are truly from the realm of Decay instead, we could have them being the polar opposites of Spore Mounds.
I'm starting to see Vault of Archeron in a very different light. Along the hallways are constellar statues. Each of the elemental giants has a name that fits the constellar naming convention. The detail I most recently clocked as unusual are the circuits that lead from each giant towards the mechanisms in the centre. I feel like they are constellars that were made to be elemental batteries as well as just the guards we know them to be.
Here to push that YT ALGO stuff. But besides.... I think in Legion we learn from that prime naaru that they were created during the "ordering" of the cosmos by the titans. I belief that the light that we know for years is the ordered version of the sacred flame and the sacred flame is the primordial force of light that could not be ordered by the titans.
The feeling is mutual buddy. I feel good to be here as one of your fans. the combination of your lore speculation and story analysis with your personal-honesty level makes your videos interesting :P If had access to E-Cards (can't, living in iran), you'd be the only person I'd become the patron thingie. (take that youtube algorithm mofos :D )
My take has always been that there were 2 prime forces, light and void and that all other cosmological powers can from mixing light and void in differing ways. Light has recently been shown as a burning fire, scorching anything they deem unpure, so basically anyone/anything that opposes their goals. Sounds a lot like fel to me. and life springs forth where this is light, so I think Fel and Life are parts of the light with aspects of void, cause flesh comes from Decay but its also associated with Life. Order also has a lot in common with the Void, The light doesn't build empires on planets, at least not that we know of, but the Void however does with the Black Empire. TItans did something like that as well. Void controls minds by breaking them with whispers while Order skips the whispers part and simply rewires your thinking to align with theirs. My thinking is that the titans are originally from the void in some way but they don't want us to know. And the Titans fighting the void would still line up, cause the void even fights amongst itself.
What triggers my suspicions the most is that usually in cosmological charts a force is usually related to the ones besides it and opposed to one directly on the other side. If you look closely to wow cosmological chart... On top you have light, on bottom you have void. On both sides of light you have life and chaos On both sides of void you have order and death. If you look at order it is between life and void... So are titans ordering life for the void?
An interesting perspective is that titans roam freely in our plane of existence much like the old gods or the naaru. The nascent world souls cannot be affiliated with any cosmic force per se as they are manifestations of our plane of reality they are born and nurtured here. Amanthul for order can be the equivalent of a void lord for the void. Somehow he managed to manifest in our plane and thereafter is in a crusade to turn all the world souls into ordered beings the same way a void lord would manufest and would try to consume everything. Life forces and Eonar who acts as part of tge team order has already tried to place world trees whose roots can reach the heart of the world soul and benefit or manipulate it. Weird. Or we have been warned about it "the vassel of life hides treachery"
Personally I believe that Aman'thul will be the one titan to fall to Void in the end. His eyes are golden (hinting he is infused with light or has a soul of Light). His keeper Ra'den fell to the Void in BFA. Ra'den was ordered/created by Aman'thul. This hints that Aman'thul is also susceptible to Void corruption. The light has a tendency to sputter out and transform into Void (the Naaru). So ultimately I believe Aman'thul will be the "One to Consume all others." I believe he will consume all of the pantheon and fall to Void.
I watched Pyro's stream then one day your content popped as a suggestion. I watched and liked the content, I then subscribed and and have watched most of your content since. Most of the time I like your content more than Pyro's.
Hey Acco, been thinking about this for a while. Can you please give your thoughts on why (just from the lore perspective, gameplay is obvious) in Warcraft 3, Light specifically damages the undead, while it heals all other three factions? To me it feels like life and light made a deal or life was absorbed/conquered by light. It would also explain why light heals and even resurrects. It could have also conquered the spirit. My thoughts, Spirit may equal willpower. We've seen numerous times, especially with Anduin, that if he wills it, he can do anything, at least concerning the Light. The duality of Light and void and the other powers split between them could also explain Shadowlands. It is obvious, that the realm was at least tampered with. But, what if it was just ordered and then ordered again? Take real life for example. We don't know what happens after death. We have the heavens/higher planes preached by the churches, some believe in reincarnation (also involving different planes of existance) and lastly, there is just nothingness, your soul just vanishes. If death was an extension of void, to counter life, it could work in theory, but these two powers would just keep becoming larger. Life to produce more than death can take and death adapting ach consuming more life. You get the gist of it. So there has to be something else, that would limit these powers to just be stronger than any other.
What if the twisting nether was first? In shadowlands doesn’t it talk about how before everything was chaos and no checks and balances? Sounds like the twisting nether. And isn’t the twisting nether filled with random percents of all the magics? So what if in the twisting nether they had portions that were more 1 magic affiliated which made up the realms which is why they were constantly at war and it was all chaos. First ones came along made everything neat in there own realms. Titans came and either found out about the first ones and what they did and adopted it even more or the titans were made to ensure order was maintained but being constructed themselves took it to far like Skynet or ultron. That’s why norgi boy has access to all magics.
I’m starting to believe that Elune was the first, and Aman’thul and the pantheon betrayed her and subjugated her. I think of the old mythology Hecate, and how she was originally depicted as 1 goddess, and after hundreds of years, she became know as 2 goddesses and eventually 3. What do we have in Azeroth that imo represents the moon and its phases? The dream(growth), Azeroth (harvest), shadowlands (surrender). I would also add that the moon is symbolic of illusion and the subconscious. We see a lot of illusions on Azeroth with islands and other areas being masked by illusion, as if they don’t exist until the illusion is dispelled. As for the subconscious, our conscious mind is constantly interpreting our world to our subconscious mind. What is important to understand is that whatever the conscious mind says, the subconscious mind believes as absolute truth. If you can manipulate the subconscious in this way… doesn’t that sound a lot like domination? The pantheon don’t create they steal and manipulate. Azeroth is not the last but the first… and I think Elune may actually have been the first. 8 titans? 8 phases of the moon.
The Titans have technology. They cannot create life but once ordered into a construct they can manufacture copies theof. Maybe the Titans lack imagination and that is why they order life forms. They can design and build machines though but those are not life forms. There are a this web comic named Outsider. Outsiderwerse have their own precursor doing something similar, reordering life forms. The reordered life are still living but are adapted to their bio chemical system. In the story a human meet humanity's "copied" species.
Me: "Oh, new video, i don't remember us talking about this" and i start thinking about the theory and how to respond in the comment... then i hear my name being replied to and realize it's from stream... 😂
That it's possible to transform biological beings into robots is by...King mechagon did it! We killed him in the dungeon because he wanted to forcibly transform everyone to "Titan perfection". Yes his machine was faulty and made you a mindless robot, but it proves it's possible. And the titans are much more intelligenter and more powerful than a insane gnome king.
IMHO WoW is headed towards a Magic System similar to Magic: The Gathering. In Magic, there are 5 Mana - White, Blue, Red, Green, Black. For example, Pure white is Life, Virtue, Egalitarian and etc. If you add Red (Impulse, Emotion, Fervor, Recklessness) you get Boros - A holy army filled with zeal and fervor, every soldier equal, fighting for the same cause. Add in Black to white (Parasitism, Ambition, Greed) and you get Orzhov - An Autocratic church, that deals with life and dead. Whites laws and order and blacks extortion, collecting tithes and etc. I see the same happening in WoW. There are cosmological forces that are pure, but the conflict of WoW means these cosmological forces bleed in to other realms. Some are easier and more natural (say Light with Arcane and Order), but that doesn't mean it can't work with the opposite. A Holy Army that uses Holy Fel and destruction as true manifestation of zeal. Or Elune being a being of say Light and Void as solstices are a marriage of Light and Dark, the Sun and the Moon. We've already seen Undeath and Light working together for example.
