Packed with info and things to see. I agree re-walk, keeping the noises helps make the experience real for the viewer. Couldnt be doing with the Russian influence, its my opinion that the sound of Russian is to harsh. Loved the beach walk today.
Just to put things into perspective cost-wise, i am staying in a travelodge in Kings Cross (London ) for two nights and they are charging £180 per night for this.
14 miles yesterday! Great effort. It's amazing how much you fit into your backpack. Room looks great and very clean for sure. That's a fair sized fire brigade for Jomtien. Those dumping grounds are just terrible. Those fishing boats all along the beach look great. I would love to see them all taking off and coming back of they all went at once. Probably the best time to grab seafood in Thailand - straight out of the sea. Fried chicken did look good, and those donuts too 😋 Oh wow, the Russian language in the tour hut signs - that really shows the audience there just like you said yesterday at Jomtien. So I just did a quick google, and found a story that estimates that 27,000 Russians have settled in Phuket (Jan 2024), and for the other areas like Jomtien, most are wealthy Russians. They have come to stay on long term resident visas! Wow. No wonder they have sky high real estate prices! They are stinging the wealthy Russians there! I would much rather be doing the rentals and moving around like you are, given the choice.

No different to the rubbish getting dumped in darlo at the minute. The beach was lovely really nice to hear the sound of the waves wish I was there, they should take care of the beaches. Its the same in Greece full of Russians never use to be 😊
It is sad to see June, they’re getting plenty of revenue so there is no excuse. The Russians seem to move in packs, I’ve had no problems with them to be honest😊
Where you show the luxurious looking Riviera Condo highrise... opposite it and past the fishing park, there's a pleasant new public park around a little lake. I see very few people there. Nice place to relax for an hour or two.
I love your comments on the exchange rates Richy. The rate depends on global data and things like how much tax a country will expect to be getting over a set period of time. The amount of people in work etc etc. Not what time of day the shops shut 😅
Richy, The rainbow section of Dongtan is both very low key and small scale. Worth mentioning that it is worth keeping going because the promenade / beach further on has been done up a treat over the past couple of years and leads nicely on to the bottom of Pratumnak Hill Sois 4 and 5 which for my money is the most chilled area anywhere in Pattaya / Jomtien. Have stayed few times previously and really feels like a completey different city but with advantage of being 10/15 minute taxi from both Jomtien or Pattaya ( me not being as numble as you mate).
Richy, would you recommend bringing sterling over to Thailand and getting it changed there or getting Thai Baht in the UK before leaving. UK rates (for cash) are about 43.6 Baht to the pound. Thanks for the great content.
I would definitely get it changed here mate, make sure all of the notes are in mint condition though as they won’t change them if they’re not pristine.

Richy,I settled a dispute with my wife, she was mad about the truck with Magosteens for 3 kilos for 100 baht, every time I saw the strawberry truck she was never around, thanks to you I got proof now.
On the left "jomtien walking street" just before tinnies pies is the proper g@y hot spot, "cheap dave in thailand" ventured through it in recent video, i'm not g@y or owt but it looked good,. Russians have always been big in jomtien since my 1st visit to thailand in 2009, nice to see plenty of good seating in the food market were you got those roasties from, as for the abandonment on the front, pattaya does have a similar place along beach road, if you carried on along the dongtan beach eventually you would have come to cosy beach and its very nice there,. great video again and upwards and onwards to the abuse you will probably get in pattaya from the mongers, cheers ,.
Have you tried sticking some sponge over the mic? Seen a few UA-camrs do that as a cheap an effective wind filter without losing the other background noise so much.
Hi, I’ll be honest I’m more of a sinker than a swimmer. The beaches in Pattaya looked a lot cleaner than Jomtien but the waste in the water for me personally I would skip this side of Thailand it is very built up which equals poor water quality.

I wouldn’t but if you must you get a slightly better rate with £50 notes - no tears, or no writing on them.
