- Hi welcome to today's Travel Day Kanchanaburi To Pattaya By Direct Bus £7. It wasn't until the early hours of the morning that i found out i could get a direct bus from Kanchanaburi to Pattaya. On the flip side i would of bring travelling to Mochit Bus Station in Bangkok then on to Pattaya from there.
I was told before buying the ticket the journey was going to take 4 hours, had i known the actual time i probably would of taken the Bangkok route to break up the day. Although the journey went ok, it could of being much more comfortable.
Before i left Kanchanaburi i popped into my favourite 10 baht(22p) chicken and rice cafe, once arriving in Pattaya i also get some pork and rice. Rice, rice and more rice ha.

The first overcast day for quite a while. That war cemetery is meticulously manicured. It's a real standout from everything else we see in Thailand.
Chicken and rice - such an easy and cheap option at 10 Baht!
After I said yesterday if anyone actually wears elephant pants as I had never noticed before, the girl working at the bus terminal had them on. I am sure I will see them in every vlog now 😂
I don't know how you fit in those small seats, Richy, for so long on those bus trips. Glad you could change seats to grab that leg room.
Good morning Greg, it is great to see the cemeteries being kept so well. Yes the elephant pants are everywhere, you also see a lot of men wearing them🤣.
The bus was a bit of a nightmare, the Thai couple next to me were piling sweets into their kids to which never helped they were all over the place. I got the bigger seat for the last half hour at least.
You don’t come over to me as a Pattay man Ritchy 😂, best Sunday dinner I’ve ever had was in Pattaya, Sportsman’s bar soi 13 you have to be in for 12, Carvery spot on Ritchy. Keep up the good work pal

Thank you Tony, if I wasn’t squashed in it would have being ok. In hindsight I definitely would have took the Bangkok route. I’m not a fan of buses mate
Back here in Wales you'd only be able to go about 5 miles down the road for that price, luckily it's only another 17 weeks until I can apply for my free bus pass, in a few moths time I'll be using it to go to the airport to escape to Thailand for my first vist.
It is ridiculously expensive back in the UK Gary, at least you have something to look forward too mate. You will love Thailand.

You wouldn't have had to go from Mochit to Ekami as there is a direct bus from Mochit to Pattaya

It definitely was i was looking at google maps as i said it and we did go around the north of Bangkok probably to avoid traffic. A bit hot headed today Ian?
how can you expect any bus in any country having a direct route from one town to another without having at least one change ,especially when your direction (east) takes you through the capital
It never changed Ian, I was on the same bus all the way. My gripe was I was told it would be 4 hours when I reality it was 6 and half. I wasn’t arsed.

the bus you were hoping to take you to Pattaya had in big bold letters on the front saying Kanchanaburi to Sangkiaburi ,and that ain't Pattaya in any language
I have never heard of 'Sangkiaburi' but there are a lot of Buri's here
That wasn’t the bus I got on, the girl made a mistake and showed me another bus. This is all in the vlog
Sankhaburi is a bit north of Ayutthaya... a little east of Chai Nat.

Yeah I was in Kanchanaburi though mate, I was heading to mochit until I seen there was a direct bus to Pattaya. The best one from Bangkok is from Ekkamai bus station 119 baht
