Over exfoliating the skin can cause irritation, and different skin types should use different chemical exfoliants. It’s not a one size fits all situation when it comes to exfoliation.
Is cleansing the face in the morning with a gentle cleanser considered an exfoliating?

What no one tells you is that it takes a long time and consistent routine of what you listed for it to even show a difference... I'm brown and it took me 6 months to start noticing the scars fading.. don't give up and keep going.. you'll be fine ❤

@@pranaybhaskar5536 I used The Ordinary's Alpha Arbutin for my serum, retinol (Retinol for face by Heimish is amazing and super gentle!), a basic moisturizer with niacinamide in it and a super gentle 4% glycolic acid weekly.
I have oily acne prone skin so I use a salicylic acid face wash morning and night. Hope this helps! Please research according to your skin type and budget.. good luck 💯

i used grapeseed oil before bed and it helps a lot with reducing my acne scars. make sure your skin is good with it before using it, but it's safe so, i hope this info can help someone.

Exfoliating isn’t speeding up skin turnover it just removes the top layer of the skin
That had already death cells in there. That’s how it should work you know? However you have to avoid overexfoliating
@@gabrielaaguilera2770 not sure I understand but yes the top layer is dead but exfoliating the skin isn’t triggering the cells underneath to rejuvenate therefore exfoliation isn’t gonna renew the skin exfoliation definitely helps with pigmentation and a lot of things
i think she meant using a retinol i personally use deffrin gel foe this type of scars any yep it exfoliates the skin and speed up the cell turnover .

I had bad acne about a month and a half ago but now I have PIE, I exfoliate with a chemical exfoliator once a week, cleanse my face twice a day, wear sunscreen anytime I go out, and stay consistent with my skincare routine

You really shouldn't be scared of sunscreen clogging your pores. All you gotta do is double cleanse every night. It really has helped my clogged pores. I'm a teenager and i struggles with acne but after using sunscreen and double cleansing, my skin has improved so much
It's good to apply a serum or moisturizer before sunscreen that's what I do I was told sunscreen can cause breakouts if applied directly

if you're talking about sunscreen, you don't need to apply at home as long as you're not in front of the window all day with the sun facing you, which i think no one really does, so you should be fine :)

I use my IPL at home machine on the lowest setting/ IPL is for hair removal but it works through melanine pick up so it works for dark spots too. Don't use this if you have dark skin.

Can this apply for dark spots on other parts of the body? I have some dark spots on my arms from an allergic rash I had about a year ago and I would love to get rid of them. I wouldn't normally care, but they look like junkie needle scars and the rash is thanks to my ex and I'd rather move past the reminders...

I’ve been using that Korean brand, I think it’s Korean idk 😭 it’s like it has one giant word in the Korean language and it’s a popular brand here in China and I think in the states. I used their rice water sunscreen and my skin has never been so clear

Won’t exfoliating make skin irritated and red?
Not necessarily. If you aren’t over doing it or using products that don’t work for your skin it should be an issue. People tend to overdo it because they think it will get rid of the top layers of skin faster and reveal their newer skin underneath. Also I think chemical exfoliants might be better than ones that actually scrub your face but I’m not entirely sure so I’d look that one up before trying it 😂
