Longtime Disney fans will remember the famous “golden age’ that gave us classics like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Babmi and Dumbo. Modern fans are still living in Disney’s success with the revival era that bred new iconic flicks like Frozen, Encanto and Big Hero 6. Whether you're a fan or a critic, there’s no denying the star power that Disney has when it comes to making some of the most timeless animated films ever. But with so many years in the movie-making business, it can’t always be smooth sailing. We’ve looked into Disney’s history and, boy, it hasn’t always been so smooth. Becoming a pioneer for new animation styles, genres and ideas means taking a few gambles along the way. But it also means paying the price and facing a few major flops at the box office. But we’re also taking a look at which movies nearly put an end to Disney’s animation. You might be surprised to find some of your favorites on our list of failures. But we’re also here to tell you that it’s okay to love a movie that didn’t do so well at the box office - we have our fair share of favorite flops! I didn't know Astro Boy was a flop! I have good memories, weird memories, but good memories about that film. I watched it because of a toy that is like a car, wheels thing that goes across a table. It was a classic toy that I had and my mom was like "That comes from a movie" and I was like "Really?" So we watched it, and I remember it sometimes to this day even though it's been years. Never heard anybody ever talk about it besides just now right here, saying it's a flop movie though.

Missing Link is still a phenomenal stop motion movie, it just didn't make its full budget back.
