This guy did a great job! This is without a doubt one of the most comprehensive and informative walk arounds I've seen. The only critique I have is the ums and ahs in every sentence. Other than that, Host is lucky to have this guy.
Great orientation. This facilitator is extremely knowledgeable of the Host Mammoth camper. I hope Princess Craft has retained him as he is extremely smart.
Finally a Host video that shows you what are in all of the compartments and what they do. I am thinking of getting a Host Tahoe and have been looking on line for information like this for over six months. Thank you for making and done extremely well. Technician is very knowledgeable and I am glad you had someone like him explain everything very well. Thank you for making.
This is a really good video, and the technician did such a great job explaining and going through all the systems. One day I want to get a Host camper, and I'm saving this video for future reference!
This is an incredibly amazing video! I have watched it multiple times. We recently purchased a 2019 Host Mammoth from a dealer in Oregon. It came with a 2020 Ram 3500 dually truck as a package and was delivered to us last January in Idaho during a winter snowstorm so we didn’t get much of a walk through. We are getting it ready for it’s maiden voyage across the US and this video has been a lifesaver teaching me how to de - winterize and setup all of the various systems in preparation for our journey. Our thanks to the technician for the elaborate detail that he provided.
@@Painfulwhale360 both the truck and camper were used - the guy that owned them got a divorce 6 months after buying them and asked the dealer if they could sell it as a package about the time we were looking for both - right place at the right time.
Hello, We purchased a 2016 Mammoth this last April 2022, the water pressure was very light every were except the toilet. I removed screens and flushed deposits out, cleaned orifices etc and gained a little water pressure how ever the sink sprayer is similar to 1/4 turned on as the shower and bathroom sink, when hooked to city water and the water pump is turned on, the water pump runs and stops with use and does have better pressure but still not like 55psi should- especially out an 1/2" line. The screen down below is clear at the pump.
Host the big rear window I Need To B able to Remove that quickly & safely so long stuff can b loaded securely into camper. 2 suction glass handles & a lock from inside & simple quick cover over retaining flange of special rear window outside. U name it tiny doors vs straight shot big removable window for Ebikes or plywood or whatever.
Do you offer lithium batteries and a complete solar panel system?.Do you need to go into the. “Garage “ to change Jack fuses or do anything with converter, inverter
The rear window each sheet own flange top over laps bottom & comes off 1st or goes back on last rain deal. The gasket is affixed to flange & removing compression rubber doesn't effect it anyway.oval style.
48/49min starting gen hold down blinks primed then hold up rocker switch max 10sec or over cranking. Propane in bottles & turned on,few tries poss not a honda mower.
If big rear window was 2 prts flange between sheets it would dramatically simplfy removing flange & glass for bulk entry. Could even make window 2 panes 2 sheets Yet still safe.
1:03 mins u don't want 6gals of antifreeze in water heater,so drain system lock water heater off cycle antifreeze then open water heater just prt way to let small amount flow in.
I need to find a dealer that has one in stock stat , right now. I just sold my home bought the truck called princess craft and they won’t have anymore until December. I don’t want to down grade to something I really don’t just because of this issue. I’ve spent a lot of time researching a lot of different campers , plant tours , construction and so forth and know that Host is the best in all categories. I need help in finding my camper 😣🥺😵 after all the researching I forgot one tiny detail, a dealer with one in stock. OMG I’m in a situation now.
Check out the dealership page on HOSTS website. It may be a good place to start your research. They may even have a contact point on their website to get some human help.
Ok how many have called in saying they used the glass stove cover as a griddle? lol Great video. Would love a detailed one as well for installing on the truck. Also is it recommended to be used on just the jacks?
It's perfectly fine to camp in this truck camper with it off of the truck. We suggest lowering it as close to the ground as possible when camping in it detached from the truck. We'll need to look into making a loading and unloading video for ya.
RV Tech Tours at Princess Craft thank you for the reply. Since the Host and Eagle Cap are “4 season” what do you feel would be the safest low temperature to still use the water functions for winter camping?
Wouldn't it make more sense to fork the black and grey tank valves so you could drain the black then flush the bottom part of the line with grey water? What if you have to dump your black tank but you have no flush water available?
great pnt u don't leave it up on jacks no diff then car jacked then jack supports. The lift legs r thin not able to safely hold extended in the air any amount of time safely.
With the bathroom hall going straight into the bedroom that would be a problem for me I would only want one entrance in the bathroom privacy in the bedroom have a wall instead of going through that’s the only thing I did not like about this design
@Constantine Spyridon - The Host camper has a slide out door that can close off the bathroom from the bedroom, they probably just didn't show that feature. Also, on this model of truck camper you can access the bedroom from two sides thankfully.

single ply sad clown & RV powder w/enzymes, blk 1st then gray. Never empty & dry the tanks needs 1gal & dawn pre treat, melted ice trick lots of toddler fun.
The camper’s propane is the fuel source for the generator. As long as there’s propane in the bottles, the bottles’ valves are open, and the unit has enough electricity (battery) to start the generator, the generator can be run.
We find the operation and maintenance to be pretty much the same as good ownership practices of standard travel trailers. The added aspect of loading and unloading is what usually looks daunting for prospective truck camper owners.
As far as bed campers I hve looked at Host is 1st not perfect fit choice but, yeah, lance & North & 3rd Eagle w/Nu 4th not able to walk the roof wt limit. I hope I am remembering those right order. Eagle biggest badest & ugly inside all wrong tossed. Lance mayb but they make 1 type & it works or doesn't. North winner solid pick. Host your door is to narrow. I want 2 side entrance both/either sides & cross venting full screen door. Love the pull tray 1 other Eagle has too, only wish bay was just a bit taller 6" would b great or another step more 2 get into & out of camper Worth It!
It's wt w/these camper design all but the same really, mostly. I Want to shack up the truck bed camper segment big time. Seriously think wt decides all this group, & that means aluminum cabinets, & no blk tank every lb helps & gives more room to shack up the group.

Wow very thorough
37:50 slide order off opening sides 1st, & then rear, same going back driver 1st then passenger then rear.
lift up kitchen extensions hve reverse knee joint to lower supports.
Awesome job on the video and has sold me on the product.

I think Nu went water heater instead of air(if u hve water to heat) better more efficient, plenty of heat small space option.
True, and I think its a better system, but try to get warranty or a replacement unit. very difficult. Research it to confirm.

You should rename the company to “Princess Crooks” 😂
I'll ask the boss, but I don't think that will fly...

3/8 spinner wrench manual top of jack leg under rubber cap. Alittle up or down each leg jack as Insnke as poss.

Do you need to have the slide out to keep black tank hose straight
RV stove burn cover glass is not pyrex can't cook on it not tempered can't take any heat.
20 mins valve to switch from 1 tank to another for propane >no cold showers if u ck 1st & don't run your tank flat dry>.
21min >if u open regulator on top of both tanks this rig auto switches for u so "u should not run dry"

No, just the 2200.

foot flush partial is bowl fill all the way is flush & want water in bowel like at home.

The camper’s propane is the fuel source for the generator. As long as there’s propane in the bottles, the bottles’ valves are open, and the unit has enough electricity (battery) to start the generator, the generator can be run.
