shukriya 🙏🏻 I'm 78 and have been doing this for sometime now...I count 20 for each foot alternate and continue for atleast ten minutes. I also sit in chair and get up without touching the sides again for 20 minutes...feels reak good👍
Hello, the muscle atrophy from CMT definitely limits balance, but this type of exercise can greatly benefit those suffering from this disease in two ways. By making your balance better, you can overcome the balance loss, normally associated with the disease. But also there is a lot of evidence that doing anything that strengthens the muscles, including balance, challenging exercises, Can slow down the progression of CMT
It works excellent in helping w balance . I love the fact it’s just this one exercise . I also like when you do one foot in front of the other and let go as long as you can and do w putting the other foot behind the other try balancing without holding onto anything counting to 10, 20 even 30 . I find I walk better . Thank you so much . Marie
Thank you Doc for this video ( free lecture) I d been doing this until now but not 20 sec. during my free time esp. while waiting for a Metro Bus I can do it , right foot is stronger than left foot not holding anything. Thanks so much ❤ I’m one of your subscriber now 11/22/2024 🇺🇸. God bless you more Doc 💁♀️🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Doug... an alternative approach I've used for a long time works for people with access to a single person shower stall... do the one-leg bit for 20 or more seconds in the stall, and then switch... no chance of falling, there are three sturdy walls you're going to hit. Brian Couch
I started doing single leg standing every single day as I get out the shower drying each leg as I go, I didn’t realize I was doing the exercise until now. 😊
Curious to know if I (who struggle with MS that has affected the left side of my body) would benefit from this exercise. I currently have to use a walker. Just 3 short years ago, I was only using a cane.
As a menieres patient, I have been suffering with balance issue. I started doing your exercises and experienced severe wobbling and vertigo episode. Is this normal or I quit your exercises ?
I have several clients with Menieres Disease who have benefitted from this exercise and ones similar. But it depends on the severity. This wont cure Menieres, but it will improve your balance.
Yes, since this exercise has nothing to do with your rotator cuff, it’s safe for you to do. Hopefully you’re getting some good treatment to repair your shoulder injury.
I appreciate your time any time someone will take the to help people is heaven sent. God bless you and yours ❤
I started this exercise a fewtried this exercise few weeks ago and my dizziness is gone! Thank you. I'll continue...

What are the added benefits to doing this exercise with both eyes shut? It's definitely a LOT more challenging with eyes closed!

Very good information. But it's too long. The narrator loves his own voice. Can't talk less.
It's only 4 minutes long...I found it very informative.
Dude! You're impatient! Let him enjoy himself as he gives us this FREE video!
You are ungrateful person 😒!
Sorry!
I suffer from rotator cuff injury can I still try?
Yes, since this exercise has nothing to do with your rotator cuff, it’s safe for you to do. Hopefully you’re getting some good treatment to repair your shoulder injury.
