For the "Metal Sonic is Sonic robotisized" theory, I think your argument against the theory has a few holes. Metal Sonic being sent back to help a past Robotnik in his plans does make sense because many Badniks are also going in the past to help ensure a certain future already. In fact, if only badniks could time travel like that then sending a doppelganger of equal power and speed to counter the real Sonic would be a very effective way to deal with Sonic. however, Its also possible that Metal Sonic going to the past (Or I guess present) and interacting with his environment could have been the reason that Sonic was not captured.
If Metal was not in the present, then Robotnik might have come up with a different way to attack Sonic. like a "race" that will lead Sonic into a dead end while Robotnik follows him with a death lazer (like the one he already chases you with while fighting Metal)
Something like this might have been the reason Sonic would lose in "The worst timeline" causing him to become Metal Sonic and then sent to the past to aid a past robotnik take over the world.
Another thing to back up this idea is how it has similar qualities to the story of Sonic CD itself in a way. Where if Robotnik fully wins (Defeats Sonic entirely), he sends Metal Sonic to the past in order to win once more. in contrast to Where if Sonic partially wins (Bad ending, but not defeated) he goes back in order to get a better outcome.
Basically, Robotnik has shown that he can send his robots to the past to affect the future, Metal Sonic could definitely be just that. Robotnik's motive to send Metal Sonic to the past would be almost identical to the reason Robotnik sent his robots into the past. to affect the past events in his favour and to make taking over the world easier. Whether its through sending Badniks to make Robotnik Statues or sending a Robot doppelganger to combat Sonic himself.
(This theory can also explain Metal Sonics elevated sentience and rebellious streaks and the motives for Robotnik creating the Mecha Sonics and why they are not equal to Metal Sonic. but that is for another day)

Hello everyone, I am making this comment to thank the people who have watch this video for making my channel go up to over a 100 subs in less than a week. I honesty didn't think I would easily get this much over this video and I also didn't think it would reach the number of likes that it has as I'm making this comment. I also definitely have to address the common complaint I been seeing comments of on this video being that my audio sounds vary low and I (as in with my own voice) should "speak up".
Personally, I don't really hear how low my video audio is in comparison to other videos on UA-cam but I will definitely bring my audio up within the next discussion based video I make just because a lot of you have complained about it. And as for my voice, that is just how I talk. If I were to "speak up", I would just be raising my voice. And I don't think people would want that.
Anyway, I like to state again that I thank everyone who has liked this video and sub to this channel. And I do have more things planned for my channel but it might be awhile for it to come out.

It's because the frequencies below 100hz take up all the headroom and in that frequency range there's just no sound information at all, it's just rumble. I had to EQ -15db on my mixing board to fix it. Most importantly. You,re whispering

time travel in sonic cd is done by sonic's speed, not by time signs, time signs are a game mechanic.
This is somewhat obvious, due to the fact that it would be problematic to let the player move freely to the past and the future without the game breaking.
Good added explanation of the time traveling, I was only explaining it more simply since the only way to time travel in the game is by using (or going past) a sign.

Honestly, I didn’t know that there are still captions on this video that I originally tried to have on it last week. I thought I completely clear the captions due to them not converting to the video that well.

More as to why "Metal is a roboticized Sonic" can't be true. Roboticization was only a thing in the Archie Comics, Sonic SATAM and Sonic Underground. Its not in the game's canon. At least it doesn't work the same. Since the game's version of it only has Eggman putting animals inside of robots (or in this game flower seeds) to use as organic batteries with destroying the robots easily sets the animal free. Not him straight up turning organic beings into robots where there is no trace of flesh, blood or organs left with the only way for the victim to be returned to normal is through a machine that reverses the process.

I'm so late to this but one other thing I'm not sure about for the fun is infinite theory, the face on Sonic is actually majin's face, just pixilated. Now Im not sure that this is true because I heard it from somewhere else that I forgotten. If it is true, good thing to know :)
also majin did the same thing on a can in Shenmue, another SEGA game.
One thing to point out about the true final boss, Final Fever. It has R9 written on it which makes the games have 9 rounds in total (including Dubious Depths - R2). I don't believe Metal Sonic is Sonic from the Bad Future because the term "roboticized" is from the DIC's Sonic cartoon trilogy where characters are permanently turned into robots, but in the Sonic games, critters were used to power those badniks. Also "Mazin" is actually pronounced "Majin" because there's no "zi" sound in Japanese grammar, they use じ/ジ("ji") instead, Majin uses a rare Hiragana in his name that is also pronounced ぢ("ji"). The thing is the way his name is romanized can be a little confusing. One example is a user who has 中(chuu) in their name which is romanized as "tyu". Also about Sally Acorn in Sonic CD, there are 2 theories of why that is the case: 1) Sega of America wants to appeal to a Western audience. 2) Due to the popularity of Sonic SatAM, whoever wrote this mistook Amy Rose as Sally Acorn. Also about the level Desert Dazzle, I believe it was intended to be in the game to replace R2, but it was scrapped along with Final Fever because they don't want the game to stray away from the original. Metallic Madness zone is potentially artificial because there's a concept art in Sonic Origins where each round from Palmtree Panic to Metallic Madness has a percentage of how much it is influenced by Eggman. Metallic Madness is influenced 100% by Eggman.

R2? I don't think it was meant for the good future.
It was likely meant to be the present theme for R2. I just took an entry from a previous iceberg (which I have credited) that for some reason thought the track was meant to be the good future track but its most likely that one of the Sonic - Remix tracks was the good future track which I did mentioned and showed in the video. I did change the naming of the entry within the iceberg charts page that is linked in the description of the video.

I was wondering if you could provide more detail on the Studio Junio entry? I always heard that Toei subcontracted a separate studio to help animate the sonic cd cutscenes, is the studio they subcontracted Studio Junio?
The past theme were implemented they way they are is a meta joke - the past themes were hard coded into the game because that’s how the Genesis did it in the past and not the “futuristic” method of CD quality

Well, the image of the unused special stage was seen through Sega Summer Catalogue page about Sonic CD in 1992. Masato Nishimura's tweet from over a decade ago suggest that it was meant to be the special stage for the game.
Also, I do feel that I should of talked about it more in a separate entry.

CD is a spin-off. It's not canon. If we count the Sonic 4 games to be canon then CD takes place between Episode 1 and 2

This video was alright. However, I have a problem with the Sandy Martin entry in the iceberg, mainly with the warning about adult content, with it saying its only "mentioned" when it's flat-out shown. Maybe you could change it so that it says that adult content is shown, or better yet, remove the adult content so the warning would be accurate.
My warning originally said "Adult content will be referenced". A reference can mean either mentioning or showing a particular thing that I am talking about in the video which I did both of.

Well, the reason why Sega delist this version of Sonic CD on all platforms is because of Sonic Origins. Sega want you to buy Sonic Origins and they want you to care about the game, i care about Sonic Origins unlike those *cough* *cough* lame ass losers who bashed poor little Sonic Origins and hurting its feelings too. I think people should care about Sonic Origins and buy the game. WE NEED TO CARE ABOUT SONIC ORIGINS AND BUY THE GAME!!!

Im not paying 40$ for an official release that is inferior to fan made definitive versions, especially if I own all of the classic sonic games separately already. I'd rather save the money for one of their newer releases like Frontiers or Super Stars
