The irony here, if I'm understanding the situation, is that the generations after us are the ones cancelling us? Don't they realize Gen X is the entire reason why we can now have kids who are out, proud and living as themselves? Ours was the generation that first embraced diversity. We were the ones who were all about self-expression, living authentically and accepting that others could be different yet those differences weren't something to divide us.

We still have each other because each other is all we've had. And I was, unfortunately, part of the group that didn't have many of my own generation. So, yeah. Cancel away. We were born cancelled. Medical costs spiked in the mid 60s as soon as we were born. Parents were loathe to take us to doctors for anything short of dismemberment. Prison populations spiked in the mid 80s as soon as we graduated high school (the war on drugs, 52 years long and counting)
