    It's finally done....at least this stage. 🙂 We will finish the front of the barn in 2023 as time and budget allow!

      Thank you! We really like it. It's going to look real good from the road when we enclose the North end and have a white roll up! Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb

      Thanks. It's been about 2 years planning and lining up the various parts of this build. And it's not done yet, but it blew the budget for 2022 due to lumber and steel prices. You enclosing yours? Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb

      @@PineyGroveHomestead Yup, budgets are extinct lol. No we are keeping it open. We have a 30x40 closed in shop already luckily, so we can’t afford that expense.

      The loft is already almost full! Building really sets the tone for the "farm" look since the other two structures are earth tones. We are now looking at barndos for our house. Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb

    Any videos for tips on closing the pool barn in for a living?

      To live in? Search UA-cam for Kelley's Country Life. He did it himself. Tell him Brad sent you over.

    I’m so impressed with the ingenuity in the building style and wind resistance. We don’t have to build to that level in my area, but some great ideas in this video! Nice shop, Guys!

    Nice looking barn, I really liked the way you did the cattle panels up top for ventilation above the animal stall, I have never seen that before

    • @PineyGroveHomestead
      @PineyGroveHomestead  2 роки тому

      There are so many ways you can go with a pole barn. That's the East wall so we wanted some sun protection for the animals but also allow some breeze to come through. Who knew small 4x4 square panels would be so hard to find? Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb

    • @PineyGroveHomestead

      I think if you hired this out to a GC it probably be over $50K in our area. Maybe more with fill dirt and site prep.

    That's a beautiful building! Congratulations. Brad, why did you choose to run the exterior steel paneling horizontally vs vertically? Love the mezzanine man cave! Put the bar couch and pool table!

      The mega shed and the house all have horizontal siding...we like consistency and standardization. That's the military in us, I guess. Thanks for watching Ross. Brad&Deb

    I live in Pensacola, would like to build one here do you know a good contractor?

    • @PineyGroveHomestead

      Backwoods Buildings out of Chipley built the structure, they may have subs that will travel to your area. If not, hit up Hidden Oaks Homestead, they are in Pensacola and had one built. Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb

    It is amazing how how the dimensions of a building seem to change during construction. It looks really big! It looks smaller the next stage, and really much smaller once everything is complete.

  • @frijoli9579

    I love this channel, but these builders are NOT detail oriented. I don't mean residential housing level but not even pole barn level. They are sloppy and don't care about standards.

    • @PineyGroveHomestead
      @PineyGroveHomestead  2 роки тому

      I say they are better than the normal in our area. Lots of people who have seen the structure are impressed with their work. It's impossible to get detailed builders anymore unless you are willing to pay $300 sq ft...we just built that house in the background and none of the subs were any good. Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb
