I tried to add a comment on the Goodbye Wookie video, but comments seem to be frozen. Did you disable them? Anyway, sorry I couldn't post, but I am sorry for your loss of Wookie. She was a beautiful soul with such a pretty curly coat and whiskers. She had a long life (for a rat), so I'm glad for that. X
If you mean when you get them, some rescues will spay/neuter, but if a breeder does it, that’s generally a red flag. If you mean should you get them spayed/neutered, then it depends. Neutering doesn’t offer any health benefits to males, but they can get hormonal aggression/anxiety and neutering is the best option. For females, spaying offers a number of health benefits, and can lengthen their lives. You’ll want to wait until they’re about six months old to do it, though.
It depends on where you live. Some areas sell rats, some don’t. It depends on the supplier they have for local stores. They haven’t sold any in my area for about 6/7 years.

OK I think UA-cam is just playing silly buggers.
Thank you for your kindness, and yeah, I think it’s a UA-cam issue.
Should pet tats be spayed or neutered?

I am getting rats in a couple months and I am getting them from the rocky point rattery in North Carolina do u know anything about it?
I do not, but I would highly recommend asking them loads of questions, to make sure they fit the standards you’d like to follow.
@@hallofrats703 Thanks,I will be sure to look into them more.
I know Petco and PetSmart don't sell pet rats anymore, not for several years.

@@hallofrats703 well it's a good thing that most of them stopped, lol. They also treat their live animals horrible.
They do, and I’m glad it’s less common for them to sell rats. Hopefully they’ll stop with the other animals eventually too.
