I agree with you , bin cages are not okay for permanent housing. There another rat UA-camr that keeps all her rats in bin cages and insists they are ok. She has one bin cage with 5 rats ! I have questioned her about it but she shuts me down saying shes right.

Ive been to several "reputable" breeders that were highly recommended and the rats were always terrified when i first got them. The most tame rats ive gotten have been from accidental litters that have been handled daily. I wish breeders would actually handle their rats instead of lying about it!

I agree bin cages can be fine for certain things. My breeder uses bin cages for a carrier when we meet to pick up my babies. Always a pleasure seeing a new video! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this set up.

This mischief is absolutely friggin adorable 😍 I miss having fancies and giving them whipped cream, which I like myself. Our last fancy passed 4 July. We're getting a Gambian Pouched Rat on 25 Sept, and they can't have dairy, though they can have eggs.
