I know you said you sold the cart. But I was just looking at buying one today. They 22 models have disc brakes. I test drove one and really was impressed with it. I like the lithium battery. So would you say yes or no?
@@jsavoy1 I did sell the cart also decided to not sell evolution products at all. We had major issues with warranties and customer service in general. It seems that some dealers have good luck with them. The product itself is nice some cheaper things about. I personally would not buy one. I would look at the icon or royal ev. We just did a review on icon hands down it's the better cart. The rideability on the icon is amazing 4 coil over shocks vs leaf springs. If you have not purchased i would go check one of the icons out see what you like better.
@@jsavoy1 I personally think that it a good decision. We make these videos to help people like you in the market for a cart looking for some knowledge on them. Let us know if you need any further help on any other carts you are looking at.
@@CartPerformance I ended up purchasing a 2022 EZG0 Express S4 Elite Lifted. The dealer I went to also sold Evolution. But I didn't see any on the lot. I asked the salesman. And he just kind of gave me that look. Lol He said they where probably going to stop selling them also. Said the company was to hard to deal with and to hard to get parts. Thanks again for helping steer me in the right direction!
We love our 2022 . It's amazing ! The ride is good function is great ! We got parts in 1 week ! Charge cable , and truck bed was overloaded and broke but we got another really fast . Fit and finish was really good and we get compliments all the time ! Our dealer was amazing ! Thanks " Calisfinest golfcarts " in Banning , California !
Forgot to mention ours came with a 48 volt lithium battery ! And 9" touch screen , blue tooth , USB, I changed out the USB for a USB type "c" port for my phone charger for 30 buks I added led ground lighting . We ordered it with a 6 inch lift and 14" custom wheels with offroad tires . It was around 14,000 otd . Not bad for a street legal 6 seater that tops out at 28 mph . 😳 Great car ! Did I mention that ??? Lol
We have now added a 4 panel mirror and 5 channel amplified sound system 2 rear speakers installed with a sub woofer on the way ! Also added a type c USB port for phones ! It's an amazing machine . We used it last night for trick or treating I must have put 10 or miles on it and only used 30% battery life ! Played spooky music the whole time and lights were on ! We are very happy with our purchase at this point .
We just bought a 2021 Evolution 2 seater. Fit and finish is very good. Ride is firm. When the local dealer flat bedded it to our house we really liked the looks of it. Got in and drove it around the block and the acceleration was so slow from zero up to 10 mph that I deemed it unsafe for the road. Crossing intersections was scary slow. But, once you got up to 10 mph it then acellerated nicely up to 25 mph. So I called the dealer and compained. They said they will reprogram the computer and take care of the problem. They picked it up and redelivered the following day. Now it accelerates Beautifully but guess what??? After reprogramming it now tops out at 20 mph!! What happened to 25 mph??
My dealer adjusted my acceleration, because at first it accelerated from zero too slowly. Now it is fine. But I do not seem to have lost top end speed. The car is still really fast, almost too fast.
I'm going to my local Golf cart dealer later today. The Evolutions there seemed nice. I don't need the backup camera or the stereo though, I will ask if the have Icon or Royal instead have just a gutted model no fancy stuff, just lithium battery, lights, turning signals . I'm wanting to attach my cargo cart in a back trailer hitch... any ideas on a newer release for a tough golf cart almost a utility golf cart? Thanks
I got the 2021 model and it was very smooth and slow to react acceleration wise until I had the dealership adjust the performance a little bit and now no one in any other golf cart can stay with me on acceleration or top end....lol
Good assessment of the Evolution Pro. As of this date, new cart prices are out of control (almost $20,000 for a new Club Car w/lithium) and used cart availabilities are low and many from non-golf-course sources, so you don't know what you are getting. This is pushing folks like me to consider the Evolution. But the comments all over the web about lousy customer service, waiting months for parts from China and the number of dealers either giving up on the brand or going out of business scare the daylights out of me. This video kills my interest completely (thank you). Now probably nothing other than a Yamaha, EZ-GO or Club Car, as painful as that will be.
You're welcome as this is why the video was made. Evolution has created their own name in the market by being this way. However there are a few other companies that are in the market of new carts that we have seen and are impressed by. Bentelli i had a cart come into the shop and we worked on it for Bentelli themselves i would have to say they had great customer service and got me parts fast and hassle free. Icon you can watch one of our latest videos on icon. Also advance ev has a pretty solid cart as well that wont hurt the pocket book. We work on a lot of club car ezgo and yamahas and they are great carts as well. The new onward to me isn't worth it. I can break down my thoughts if you would really like to know lol. But i would look around a little more i am not sure where you are located. If you want some more information you can email or call us.

@@dreck3182 Just going by my own observations and what other cart owners have told me, but the American made carts, EZ Go, Club Car and Yamaha seem better made and more reliable. Plus, parts for these makes are more readily available. You’ll pay more though. I ended up with a Club Car. It feels much sturdier than my neighbor’s Evolution.
Fellas! Thank you for finally reviewing this golf cart. Was thinking about one but your customer service concerns have me thinking otherwise. Don't know if you still have the evolution but would love to see an update!
We have sold the cart. The overall construction of this cart seems to be good. Our experience with the company however has not been great. We have had some warranty issues they refuse to fix. Also getting any kind of communication out of them has been rather difficult.
I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WOULD DO A REVIEW TRASHING THE VEHICLE'S HILL CLIMBING ABILITY AND NOT KNOW THAT THE HILL CLIMBING ABILITY OF THE VEHICLE IS ADJUSTABLE BY THE DEALER IN THE CONTROLLER. HOW CAN YOU CLAIM TO BE GOLF CART "EXPERTS" WHEN YOU MISS THIS KEY FACT?
we do not have one of these carts anymore to make that video. Should be as simple as pulling a wire from the beeper. Not sure of the location on the evolution. Icons are simple to remove that noise 😀.
I have a 14-16 thousand dollar evolution d3. the ride is so harsh, i don't even drive it. The company is the worst for customer service I have ever dealt with. They won't even return calls or emails, and good luck ordering accessories like the golf bag attachment. Worst golf cart experience of my life. Going back to E-Z GO!
Thank you for the update in the new d3. These carts look to be well thought out with the new design. I have not been on one myself to see how they are. Thank you for your feedback on this cart. Unfortunately this has been evolutions biggest issue. There is no after sales service. That is what inspired me to make the video and get the word out. I had a 6 month battle over minor warranty issues that they caredless to resolve. It got so bad that the customers had to be dragged into the email chains/ making phones calls still nothing mattered. They did not want to deal with me as i wouldn't purchase 10 carts due to their lack of communication and service. That is the reason i will not sell their product. I refuse to put someone through that.

Is there not a way to tune the top speed and performance without taking it to the dealer? Surely it can’t be that difficult.
Need access to the controller parameters to be able to turn up the speed. Deal access more than likely.
