8:01 Jeudy has had a grand total of 18 drops in 4 years. SIX of them came in one game in his rookie year vs. SD. Take away those drops 4 years ago and he has one of the lower drop rates in the league. Here's what his drop rate looks like since his rookie year vs. other highly-regarded WRs like his former teammate and new teammate:
Drop % 2021, 2022, 2023:
Jeudy: 1.8%, 5.0%, 2.3%
Sutton: 3.1%, 8.3%, 6.7%
Cooper: 2.9%, 9.1%, 5.5%
Chase: 8.6%, 8.2%, 3.4%
Hill: 4.4%, 4.7%, 7.0%
Brown: 7.6%, 3.4%, 4.4%
Kupp: 4.2%, 2.0%, 4.2%
His problem isn't drops as we strictly define drops. He can get open. He can catch in stride. But he's also a body catcher who is lackluster at making contested catches. Those may not count as drops but they are passes that 'should have been caught' in many a fans eyes.
Conversely, Sutton has a higher drop rate than Jeudy for the Broncos. But Sutton put himself into a position to catch, and likely drop given the difficulty, many a balls Jeudy would never have. This is why the Broncos kept Sutton, not Jeudy.
@@cemarz Perhaps, but Denver is in cap hell and they couldn't afford to exercise their 5th year option with Jeudy and likely would lose him for nothing in 2025 anyway.
Both suffered from inconsistent QB play. Jeudy will turn 25 tomorrow and clearly has more upside than Sutton who turns 29 this season.

I remember watching the playoffs this year and thinking man the Browns really lack in the YAC department at WR compared to other playoff teams. Njoku is great at getting YAC, but he is a TE. Jerry Jeudy is going to help us a lot in that department in my opinion…I think he’ll be our best YAC WR.

I think Judy, Moore, Dwat, and even Jedrick will really benefit from the expected offensive changes. The offseason this year feels like theyve finally solved the last two pieces needed to be legit contenders. Hope im right. Go browns.
Can you do a video on how Elijah Moore fits in and what the expectations are for him after this trade and how Cooper Moore and Jeudy will fit in this offense and compliment each other.
That’s why I’m glad he’s got Coop to learn from, hopefully he can help him finish through contact more often.

@scottzappa9314 I'm sure they did. Doesn't mean they shouldn't have chosen to wait. Wait and see Jerry's chemistry with Watson. Wait and see his chemistry with coaches and other players. See how he fits in the city, there is alot that goes on in a season. Never hurts to have patience.

@@keiththomas3422 market increase will not be significant enough to justify paying now. the market for WR may rise by 3or 5 million dollars in a year. Over paying by 5 million knowing you got the right guy on the right team, makes sense.
paying a player for the next 3 years and not being 100% about the player is foolish.
Waiting to pay, even if its an slight over pay, is the most logical move... because at least you will be paying for something you know you want to keep long term.
Especially after watching this, I must say, I feel the Browns have 3 of the same archetype of wide receiver. Great Route Runners, not bad but not special athletically, decent after the catch, no consistent 50/50 ball guys or deep threats, but good route runners. This is certainly a madden-esk complaint that I don’t take seriously from myself because life isn’t madden. But I feel like the Browns just odly like these type of guys. It seems like if you put any of our starting receivers on the Bengals roster and excluded how good the bengals receivers were, all our guys would still be put in the slot. But again, I trust AB and Kevin much more than this idea.

He won't get good qb play from deshaun. Watson ranked 38th in qbr over the last 2 years. Wilson ranks much higher then that. Also Wilson had a better passer rating, pff grade, and better td to turnover ratio. So Wilson's been better all across the board. These are facts, not hate.

Seems like Jeudy is his best in the slot. Which is great for Amari and Elijah Moore to play on the outside. I’m excited for this offense. The only thing stopping them from being a top 10 group is injuries the talent is more than enough to do it

Russell wilson 22-23 season stats 63.3% completion, 220 ypg, 90.0 passer rating.. Deshaun Watson 22-23 season stats 59.8% completion, 185 ypg, 81.7 passer rating... Wilson has clearly played much better than watson over the last 2 seasons. And all the stats reflect that.

Watson over the last 2 years has a worse completion percentage and worse passer rating then baker did in his 2021 year ( which was bakers worst year statistically) so if he can't put up numbers better then bakers 2021 season what r we talking about q? I've seen you hate on baker, and deshaun has been much worse statistically since joining the browns. But you just constantly are telling people that he's good. Jeudy is going to have a career year. Amari will remain excellent and we're going to see major gains from Elijah Moore.

I have loved Jeudy but tbh he has not had a QB or utilized well in the offense. Tbh most of the drops are contested balls or bad throws… Jeudy is also most definitely a number 1 WR when he gets a QB.

Russ has been much better then watson in every passing stat over the last 2 years. Per game stats, totals, everything Russell ranks higher then watson does since becoming a brown
Basically he will not improve coming to the Browns? He was good for 55 to 65 catches and 800 to 900 yards a season with Denver except the year he was inquired.
Our 2nd best WR had 600 yards last year 900+ yards will be an improvement.

Besides Sutton, who else attracted DB/LB attention? The problem in Denver is unanimous among all who know and it was QB. No one is saying the guy is perfect but he's gonna have a solid year for the Browns. You might wish the Broncos luck. The Browns are prepared for the season and they are in complete disarray.
