yes let it cure first. its just to add surface area and give the foam more to hold onto.

I've been doing it wrong all along I use the spray foam then let it dry and then I spread silicone all over and I apply the dirt and sphagnum moss but this method will save me time and money thanks!

I still think it's better to use silicone, I don't think this method will last. The substrate will fall off.

Most simple and easy yet refined way to make the background I ever found. I just put the silicone then spread it. Waiting for it to be cured now.

Let the silicone dry first. If you add the foam to wet silicone there’s a risk the foam might not adhere well.

I don't get it why glue directly on the glass when you can put tape on it first... Then if there comes a day you want to change the look YOU SIMPLY PEEL IT ALL OFF NO NEED TO THROW IT AWAY. the tape will hold it perfectly for years and years

Which kind of tape would you recommend? I think maybe the fear is that the glue on tape will weaken over time due to the humidity of a tropical tank (compared to silicone sealant which is made to withstand moisture). If you know one that would work I'd love to know
