Something about hearing a rooster crow that brings back so many wonderful memories of when I was young being raised on our ranch. I really miss that quiet wonderful life . Lots of hard work I didn't appreciate when I was young but now I'm in my 70s I realize that was the best time of my life.

It's good to know that Frehnch chickens have the same suicidal tendencies as Welsh ones. One of ours ended up with a bald backside when it went for a worm between the tines of my rotovator..several feathers were ruffled but no pie fillings were created.
I wish everyone a Claude to have in the neighbourhood. That man knows what he is doing and he saves you a lot of stress, time and money. Perhaps Odin can become a Claude ,he is interested in technics.

Hi there .... Look out when excavating ,that the big wal of ground/dirt, behind the barn doze not colapse overtime ,while saturated overtime during rain in autumn and wintertime... Diging the hill like this ,looks to me a bit steep Usualy wen you dig deep holes ,one meter in depth ,is one meter in width...so you get some angle of 45 degrees, the walls do not colapse Especialy with that little kid around going for adventure Its just a tip

It is amazing what you are doing. so jealous. would like to have seen the state of the farm house before you moved in, and what renovating you had to do inside the house (videos of that process). Otherwise totally fascinated by your lifestyle. I know you are not so keen on the constant rainy weather but when you have that other live video channel up and running - you could show hours of the rain and thunder etc, I love the sound of it, so soothing. Taking time to put thoughts into all you undertake to do will pay dividends in the long run. Next year we ourselves have a plan to follow, two Greenhouse’s, more raised beds (I am now in my 70’s so no bending!) solar panels on the sheds, a small pond for the wildlife, reorganising and a few tip runs to tidy up, making space for more growing. 😀👍👍👍
We have a greenhouse ready to be put up but we need to find the ideal location for it. Anicia her mother has raised beds as well, the sides are thick so you can sit on them comfortably, maybe an idea?
@@DomaineSauvage yes, a great idea! More raised, sturdy beds the better. We have just finished the Veranda base on the new shed as I managed to source a lot of free decking planks all for free! I just baked cakes for them and gave jams as a thank you. Lots of 4x4 beams also. The more self sufficient one gets the more we do work with nature becoming more independent into the bargain. Win, Win. 😃👍👍

@@DomaineSauvage yes, a great idea! More raised, sturdy beds the better. We have just finished the Veranda base on the new shed as I managed to source a lot of free decking planks all for free! I just baked cakes for them and gave jams as a thank you. Lots of 4x4 beams also. The more self sufficient one gets the more we do work with nature becoming more independent into the bargain. Win, Win. 😃👍👍
