I just read up on the clown lady and she seems like a genuine person who has dealt with some next level shit. And odd video out of context but she literally worked with KIDS in HOSPICE! I can even imagine the stuff she had seen. The mask was a clever way of trying to relate to kids while at the same time reach them. Her primary clients where under the age of 10 and once the children died she would then reach out to the families to help them. She died in the early 2000’s but yeah crazy story her sons both died from what seemed to be birth defects from what I read. Sad story for her but man she used it to help others.
The intensity of working with a child in hospice, knowing they're dying in front of your eyes... and still following up after they pass to continue to provide support. She'd seen things few others had and it helped her be strong enough to support others, absolutely wild.
