- Shooting my friend's #FN #Auto5 in 20 gauge. A wonderful, smooth, and pristine example. This #shotgun also has a plug in the magazine to limit the capacity to 2.

Mighty good video. Great work. How all those mechanical pieces and movements actually work so well and so smoothly in the A5 is a mystery. Shows what a master visionary JMB was.

My personal favorite slug gun A5 Buck Special 12 gauge, had a buddy with one like this 20 gauge loved it for bird and small game hunting. The reciprocating barrel accentuates recoil to a degree but in my mind it's the most classic of all auto loaders. Did a great job in filming the shotguns operation.

It continues to amaze me that, despite how much is actually going on, that action is still the fastest of all the shotguns.

I owned a Belgian made 20 gauge auto five from my teens. Ended up having three interchangeable barrels. Full choke, modified and improved cylinder. Basically full choke for duck and turkey,modified for dove and improved cylinder for quail hunting in the brush. Best shotgun I’ve ever owned.
I’ve got a pair of these. Beautiful guns with a smooth action!

@@henryattfield8979 thats fair i was just giving you shit. i really like 7 1/2 shot at the farthest yardage for that reason, i think its 28 yards. it kicks like a fucking mule, and the target is so far you have to be reallllllly fast on the aiming and its really hard to hit. Gets me high a bit lol
@@Jordan-vx2ly yeah, it's good fun.i got 32" barrels on my o/u so the wight pulls me through more, makes it so I know to lead rather than jerk. 20 gauge shells are annoyingly expensive though, despite being smaller. Don't get many semi autos or pumps for them either
I seen that in the pictures u had the friction peices behind spring they are supposed to be in the front and with the steel ring in the back depending on the loads
At 5:32 you show both friction ring and spacer are behind the recoil spring. I suggest you look up how to set those rings based on the loads you are shooting. None of the factory recommended set ups have both behind the spring, the forend will eventually crack.

You have the the friction rings in the wrong place! The bronze friction ring always goes on top of the spring, never on the bottom of the spring!!!!

Bronze collar and spacer are installed wrong, please look closely at diagrams, they go on other end of spring, tapered nose towards barrel.
