Isnt it amazing that they still have it???? they will never fade, NEVER, ha!! They really know how to do it, god I love them. I will see them one day as well. I would do anything to get to c them live. I bet it is the most amazing experience ever. They are another duo that can reach a special place every time they make musik and it never gets old. They keep it fresh and relevent every time.
Was fortunate enough to see Orbital last February and they were without a doubt the best live act I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot. It included some very special moments with some of my most favourite music of the past 20 years. Amazing artists that have stood the test of time and I cannot wait for the next instalment.
I so clearly remember being in my mid teens in the 90s, not really knowing what electronic music was, and having someone play "the girl with the sun in her head" for me for the first time. That moment is probably going to remain crystallized in my mind as if it happened this morning, for the remainder of my life. This is the first track that's been able to bring me back to that place of intensely analytical, yet purely synthetic aural bliss, in years.
ich hab meine karte für das konzert in brüssel. endlich !!!! 17 Jahre hab ich drauf gewartet sie live zu sehen. und nun ist es endlich soweit.....das leben hat sich gelohnt
Awesome track, and video (although it must have been filmed at an exceptionally anti-social hour as I can't see many cyclists, also it's quite disorientating for a Londoner - you are going round in circles ;). RAH on the 10th? Yes!
Absolutely brilliant. Have been listening to this track for a few weeks now and there is something very beautiful about it. Almost like it's representative of the Orbital generation - not the kids of today but us 90s ravers. It completely embodies the spirit of our time - especially that feeling just before the roll over into the new century. There was still a sense of wonder and excitement on what laid ahead. A lot less cynicism back then it seems or perhaps I'm just getting old. Orbital rules.
i wish i liked this track also like so many of you guys....i like orbital very much....can't help it, but i does't do anything for me. they have great tracks but also a lot of mediocre tracks. and i think this is one of them. I feel they took the easy way out on this track. But what i do like and its simular to this is the new PLAID album. and a simular athmosphere is the track UNBANK. check it out and agree or disagree with me.
the best part about their music is, that it always has such an visual aspect to it. i can watch videos like these or just close my eyes and get lost in my own thoughts, even on 10xrepeat listen. there are'nt many artists which do this me.
omg too awesome. Can't wait to see them in Cambridge. I never got to see them before the split - I thought I'd never see them, or ever hear a new song. ever :'( Wander if they'll do something from snivilisation (apart from 'quality seconds'!. Guys... I'll never forgive you for putting that after Kein Trink Wasser, the most beautiful track ever lol j/k ;). Back in the days before remote, I had to remember to jump out of the sofa to turn the stereo down before it seriously screwed my head up! lol
The world seemed different when Orbital went quiet. Now it looks great again! From 91 to 2001 I went to every event they did in London & all the big Tribal Gatherings. Now living in the recession means I have to work the nights that theyre playing at Alberts place! At least I did see them there back in 96. FFFFFFantastic to simply stumble across this and find that they are back to creating stunning work. This will be my soundtrack to 2012. Dance everybody!!!!!!!!! : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : )
One of my favorite concert experiences was seeing Orbital at the Metro in Chicago in 2003. That was during their farewell tour. It was my first, and what I thought was going to be the last, opportunity to see them perform ever. An amazing show. There was no opening act, just Orbital. I was dead center at the front for the entirety of the 3-4 hour set, and it was just phenomenal. I remember watching an RC robot wandering around underneath the keyboards while the brothers. Cannot wait for more.
@Obinome - One thing you have to realise about Orbital is that they NEVER paid any attention to musical trends and made the music they wanted to make, and not just what they thought the kids would buy. No competition you say? Then you've entirely missed the point, as it was never intended to be one. Listen to it for what it is, but don't compare it to the music of others - that's just foolish. Oh and, welcome back lads. I cannot understate the influence your music has had on my life so far!
What an incredible video. So simple and yet so moving. I thought the tunnel bit during the breakdown was lovely and the red light bit was fantastic. Hands down one of Orbital's best songs ever!
I'll post what I posted on the Official Orbital website. Very, very nice tune. Takes you from the start with the hook and then goes off to other places with the bloops and beeps. Happy, moody and ethereal. I can't wait for the album, glad they're back. I may have to take a vacation to the UK to see them in April as the end of the video says.
There are many geniuses who do such things to me. daft punk, Orbital, AVICII, deadmau5, Kaskade, M83, etc Each of those artists have made one to many tracks that revitalize my senses in a way I think is better than sex or any other pleasurable human experience. Theres really nothing like sensual music.
Great new tune - and I have to agree that Halcyon has had its time and place but that joke isn't funny anymore. The lads have such an amazing body of work to choose from so let's hope we get some nice surprises on the tour - I'd even settle for The Saint being wheeled out for the cheesy encore!
Sounds like the blue album to me. I want to like it i really do! Like most orbital stuff i'm sure it wil be a 'grower' . After being a fan for 15 years i will appreciate and welcome any new Orbital stuff and don't want to be critical at all. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album
the tour should be great - but please drop the Bon Jovi/Belinda Carlisle section, cos it's shit and ruins a great show. (Kraftwerk wouldn't do it and neither should you) No more Doctor Who theme either - it's crap lads, your own tunes are way better.
Never reaching a destination. Always moving and wanting "needing" more. Nice video with excellent syncing. It made me dizzy when things because surreal :)
O M G !!!!!!! I'm feeling so many awesome emotions right now, so glad Orbital released a great new song, fuck, my favourite musicians from the 90s, so many great memories of my teenage life, thank you thank you thank you!
this is definately a throwback essentially with a modern feel in the melody. a return to form with the album no doubt. being away makes the heart grow fonder...and the synths sound more lovlier!
Fantastic tune - melodic and bangin' in all the right places! Quite like the pun in the video of using the M25 Orbital Motorway - that's the only time there's no bugger on it mind!!
Oh my this is just amazing! Have just opened two windows playing this clip seperately and a couple of beats apart, and it still works - very clever track!
I always felt magic and something amazing around them... from the age of 8. Now I'm 22 but I always remember the feeling of their music in childhood... ;)
I liked well enough on first listen but it only really grabed me when I hit the loud button. The brief spin on the M25 at the beginning was a nice touch.

It's nice of them to give the track away for free, but I am going to wait to buy the album :D
perfect coming down n up music
ich hab meine karte für das konzert in brüssel. endlich !!!! 17 Jahre hab ich drauf gewartet sie live zu sehen. und nun ist es endlich soweit.....das leben hat sich gelohnt
It just doesn't get old. I know I'll be cranking this one decades from now. Timeless.
God damn, Orbital gives me feels that I forget exist.
Awesome track, and video (although it must have been filmed at an exceptionally anti-social hour as I can't see many cyclists, also it's quite disorientating for a Londoner - you are going round in circles ;).

Lovely

Best music news in ages!! And really cool simple but clever video :)
Oh my this is just amazing! Have just opened two windows playing this clip seperately and a couple of beats apart, and it still works - very clever track!
Not lost it boys.. Mesmerising vid too. Perfect British creativity. I'll take this over some costly, fatuous hip hop dross every day of the week.
I always felt magic and something amazing around them... from the age of 8. Now I'm 22 but I always remember the feeling of their music in childhood... ;)

ORBITAL are well and truly BACK
@JoeStephens78 Well said, mate. Orbital is always different and yet you can never confuse it with something else. Orbital is a style by itself.
Always hoped this would happen.. Didn't expect it. I AM ENTHRALLED WITH MUSIK AIR AN LIFE AGAIN, THANK YOU PHIL AN PAUL.. RESPECT TO THE END
I was location spotting throughout the video...well a lot of it is my manor, I guess ;-) Funny route though...
this is so good. I have to say I wasn't expecting anything of note as I didn't really like the last two albums. But they were ages ago.
i was listening to this over the top of Petrol from their 'In Sides', without realising til 4 mins had past. sounded really really good.
That's it, I'm going to London! Always regretted never seeing them live before they split up.
The brothers are back! Love from Norway :)
stupendo video, l'ho salvato, emozioni! Quante ma quante volte ho percorso queste strade? Tears...
love this song! I've always loved Orbital, and I am so glad they got back together. I can't wait until the new album is released!
@seyghal are you referring to me as a fawning superfan? I wasn't dismissing anyone as not being a fan because they dont like it.
to me the first minute and a ahalf of the track is great then from then on its just amazing more i isten to this more i love it
@tekfreak5 You're correct. Been so long, I got a little fuzzy on the date. All I remember I was still in college at the time.
This is London, right? Never been there before. thanx for this. And I also waiting for this abum more then any chemical shit
@Obinome You rate Deadmau5? I really tried with him. Strobe is quite something but everything else was so charmless and dull.
i love this track
You are the best in my eyes the gigs' you have lined up will just be amazing c u at the Royal Albert Hall caint wait.
Please, please, please come to Serbia on Exit Festival in July!
All the best from Montenegro!
Great tune as always :)
OMG Orbital is back ! Awesome news ! :DDD
Nice song, hope the album will be really good too !
I would say rather that they were and are brilliant, and don't need to be done anymore. Can't wait for a tour!
i think it gets better the more play it and the video is a bit like the hidden track on the alltogether dvd
@Obinome Nero!? Deadmau5!!? Bloody hell. You've removed any credibility in your opinion right there.
Holy crap, I just noticed I've been replaying this song for the last 2 hours xD
Close your eyes, sit back, and enjoy! Orbital are back, can't wait for the album
love orbital.. they exist before i was even born....i listen to them since i was 12 years old :D
Quickly becoming one of the Hartnolls finest EVER forays into melodic beauty...
...So There..
Great to see you back, boys! My fav band for over 20 years! Great new track!
Thank you for the sneak preview of your new material, and a huge greet from Scarborough! :-D
@djslurch I've been fortunate enough to see them twice, it's worth every amount of effort.
@seyghal Orbital by numbers? I'd like to hear the other tracks that use the same numbers..
They have to be robots... they just have to be robots... only robots could make this...
If I had a car, this one would definitely be in rotatation when crucing the hiways....
Good to see you back! I'm waiting for you in Poland, still remember Cracow in 2009 :)
Orbital, I will always love you.
If you tour near me, I will go. Make this happen
Simply awesome. Welcome back to the Hartnoll brothers, you were sorely missed :')
Just think how amazing this video would have been if Michel Gondry directed it.
"the Altogether" forever!
2. "Insides"
"brown Album"
"Snivilisation"
reminds me of Plastic Beach by the Gorillaz. the production and synth style.
Before I die, I am going to see the two of you perform live. :)
This is rapidly becoming my favourite Orbital track ever. Sheer brilliance!
@dutchRSvlogs You'd be doing the world a favor, exposing them to Orbital :D
Ownly BELFAST N.IRELAND people will really know what ORBITAL is all about!
@filterscope20 it was an instant hit with me. I almost cried with relief.
Fab tune. Even the old smoke doesn't look so bad (at night)...
@ElectroBandas
that's well said. couldn't of said it better.
Welcome back, guys!
Hope to see you in Macedonia in 2012. ;)
@djslurch I can die happily now after seeing them at Coachella in 2010.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES
Thanks Lumines: Electronic Symphony for this pure discovery... Great !
My earz are happy to hear Orbital again. See you on tour in 2012 :)
Awesome song + Awesome video = AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME :D
Thumbs up if this is a welcomed return by Orbital !!!!
the Altogether is the best album ever created by mankind !!!!!!
glasgow 7/4/12 looking forward to the motorway brothers, again.
The song and the video matches perfectly, like it so much. :D
Это просто РАЗРЫВ моего мозга!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Потрясающая композиция!!!!!!!!!! Хартнолы - лучшие.
if this is what we get free i cant wait to pay for the album
nice track, sounds a bit like BCTT by the Japanese Popstars.
I just want to drive through the empty streets right now.
Their characteristic sound for chill songs, and I love it
i've just blown my amp by playing this too loudly.
:'(
Can't wait to see them Live @ The Melkweg Amsterdam!!!
Awesome, as always. Can't wait to see them live. Again.
Just ran across this and I must say this is great!!
Michel Gondry would have done this video much better.
Finally, I can't wait for the whole album!!!
Star Guitar, by The Chemical Brothers did it better.
butterflies every time i hear this tune. Unreal..
