Relevant story time! When I was in elementary school, I wrote a letter to the president, asking him to make Pokemon real. (I had a lot of blind faith in the American robotics industry). I received back a thank you card, with a White House embroidery and stamped signature, that I proudly shared at my class show and tell! Everyone wanted to see it, sparking a frenzied discussion about Pokemon cards, games, and the tv show.
The following day word had spread throughout the entire school, as if I had a direct line to the president’s phone ☎️ 😅. Pokemon was all anyone was talking about.
Fast forward almost thirty years, I’m still waiting for my own Charmander, but your video is the closest thing I’ve seen to what I dreamt of back then. Eventually, I branched out to YUGIOH, then MTG. I may have switched games but my love of these series has always remained and I recently got back into Pokemon with the Pocket app.
Your video brought me right back to my childhood desk, fervently writing that letter after watching the weekly Saturday episode. I hope you bring that feeling to many more people through your content. I work in the IP/Entertainment law area, so I know it’s not easy, but I hope you get to organize another event like this sometime soon. I hadn't heard about this event prior to this, but this is such a cool idea!
This is like the childhood dreams of most of us, so big respect to you Wolfey for arranging such an event!
