Great review from a non coaster enthusiast. In the coaster enthusiast world this is known as one of the worst Six Flags parks because of the confusing layout, and lack of NEW rides. Amusement parks usually get a new coaster every 1 - 3 years however this park hasn’t gotten a brand new one in 23 years. Best rides in the park are Superman and Jokers Jinx and the worst ride is Firebird.
Come in from someone who seems to know what they’re talking about. I’ll take the positive comment. Stay tuned to my channel because in the next few months I plan to do a review of multiple six flags all along the East Coast. Thank you for watching and for taking the opportunity to leave a comment. I appreciate the feedback
I was just there today and had a great time. Got on multiple rides back to back with the longest wait being Bat Wing which was unique. Only ride I've been on similar is Mataray in Seaworld. This one may have it beat. Super Man ride was great and so was Jinx
I just left six flags America earlier today with a group of people from a day program we really enjoyed ourselves today getting on roller coaster and other ride that they have at six flags America
@@letsgoseeit457thanks oh yess i really enjoy myself at sixty flags America I haven’t been out there at sixty flags America since my high school went out in June of 2012 ❤️
Great video. Loved every second of it. Most people write this place off as one of the worst theme parks, but it can be a great experience if you know what to expect. Hope to see more as they open the new land this summer. ❤
My concern now is the safety of the rides. When I see how run down the place is it makes me nervous about going on any of the rides. I did love this park when I was a kid (in the Adventure World days!) so it would be cool to go back but just nervous that I’d not want to get on any rides 😮
I can understand your concerns. There are a lot of teenagers who are the operators of these rides. It was something that I noticed, but it didn’t really give me a lot of concern for my safety. They did a fairly decent job making sure we were buckled and safe.
Growing up, my friends and I enjoyed this park even back to the Wild Word days (before it became Adventure World and then Six Flags America), but the majority of our childhood was spent here under all three brands. I also recall it being well maintained when it was Adventure World and even the first few years of it being Six Flags, at least through when the Batman rollercoaster first launched. It definitely looked much nicer the last time I was there as a child many years ago.
Thanks for this! I'm curious to know if there is space to put a small purse at each of the rollercoasters (that's what I'm familiar with at the Mall of America park), or if I need to put all my belongings in a locker all day?
There are cubbies where you can put your belongings in before going on a roller coaster. However, they don’t guarantee the security of your belongings during the ride.
So sorry you didn’t enjoy it. Some parks are better than others. Overall, Six Flags tends to be a good value for the money. It’s not the same quality as Disney World or Universal Studios but most folks enjoy it.
@@letsgoseeit457we've been to busch gardens, Hershey park, etc, and enjoyed ourselves. But this place was so far below in quality that it was shocking.
@@sana.4.a - Kings Dominion is a pretty decent park. It’s more family friendly and I’ve been 4 times so far this summer. The water park (Soak City) is fun and the rides are great. Kings Dominion is in Doswell VA about an hour and 1/2 from DC.
Go-karts are almost always upcharge attractions at amusement parks. Same goes for skycoaster and slingshot rides that have low capacity. If it's an attraction you can ride at an arcade with mini-golf, then it's not necessary to do at a theme park. You don't have to like that it costs extra, but it's an industry norm and not on Six Flags America specifically. Seems that's common sense and should go without saying.
Don’t get me wrong. I appreciate what you’re trying to do. My thought is, if you can’t do a great job of doing it then don’t even do it at all. They would’ve been just perfectly fine, leaving it alone and not trying to create a world Immersion encounter.
Believe it or not, I thought about saying DMV. However, a lot of people who watch my channel aren’t familiar with that terminology and in my experience for UA-cam they don’t want to take the time to hear the explanation. But for locals that’s a great suggestion.
@kadenszn It's in Maryland. It's not a part of the District or Virginia. That term is hardly ever used by people who live here. I live in Maryland, not the DMV. I was born in D.C.

visited here in 2011 and 2016 , its actually great for the value, always enjoyed it . The water park and coasters , to do both, is excellent value.
Thank you for sharing your inside and experience and taking the time to write a comment. Thank you for watching and I appreciate your support.
This park is 15-20 minutes away from where i live, i loved it so much

What's funny is that King's Dominion is much older but better maintained.
I actually watched the video and I don’t see a problem with the upkeep or the maintenance of the rides.
Agreed. I’m a big fan of Kings Dominion and have always been impressed with how clean, organize, and presentable the park is.

Memorial day was very very crowded when we went here ❤
Yes, the holidays do draw a lot of crowds. Thank you for watching.
Well, I was there August one
Okay. Thank you for watching. How did you enjoy your visit?
I love six flags , I really don’t understand why people don’t like it.
We went to all the Six Flags on the East Coast and in Canada. We enjoyed. It’s a good value for the money.
@@TheyAdore_Mora I’m from the area and it’s because it’s just ghetto. That’s a simple answer.
This is my home park and It’s not the best but it’s still fun but batwings always closed
I visited most of the six flags and agree that this is a good park worth seeing.
Hello! Are there any single ride options
Unfortunately no

@@jhathaway8026 how so? Why
@@jhathaway8026 Hello can you explain why? Is there any parks near Washington that are worth it, thank u

Do you feel a Flash Pass is worth it for this park?
No, absolutely not! If you’re wealthy and money means nothing to you - go ahead. However, if you thinking about value for a dollar then now.

Maybe cause Universal Studios have the budget to make ppl feel like they're in a real Gotham City...Six Flags America did what they could

just say its in the dmv please
It is in Bowie, MD. I live in MD and never go to VA. It would be a lie to to lump VA into it as if it were close to Bowie.

Alot of crime walking around. I see why they need metal detectors.
I hope they get the crime thing under control. I think they have metal detectors in most all Six Flags now.

We plan to visit this week. Tickets are only $25 so hopefully it’s decent 😂 can’t beat the price tho
