I love her commentary so much that I have to subscribe to the channel. She cracked me up so bad when asking " Is it gonna start?" 😅Those questions make me sweat even thinking about it.
Thank you so much! I drive John crazy with my comments a lot of the time - but it's always meant to help - I swear! Most of the time I want to make sure he's not presuming that most viewers know as much as he does - because I sure don't - I we want to make sure the videos are as helpful as possible. Other times, I'm just being me. Ha ha! Thanks for subscribing, I think you'll enjoy an upcoming video (I'm finishing stitching it together now) on John replacing his alternator and drive belt. This one had a few funny episodes, that I'll be posting it with a blooper reel. 😁
My name is Tony and I just watched your video and it was a great help to me replacing my radiator in my Jeep GC with a 4.7 !! When they told me that it would cost me $500 dollars just for labor to fix my Jeep, my jaw hit the floor and I told myself that this was something that I could do !! Your video helped me out so much and saved me a chunk of money that I used for some other needed bills that I was able to take care of and again, I have to say, thank you for posting this video.
Thank you so much Tony - this is exactly what we are hoping to achieve with our channel. Prices are through the roof on everything, and everyone is a surgeon these days. We don't presume we are doing the best job, but we're sharing what works for us - and talking through issues we run into, so viewers can decide for themselves if it's something they really want to try. Tools, technical ability and safety all come in to play, and everyone needs to make their own decision on trying to tackle themselves or turn to a professional. Glad this helped you tackle on your own!
Excellent job. I've done this replacement twice. (On a 2000 and on a 2003). I replaced the water pump as a precautionary. It was a piece of cake with everything apart.
Thanks for letting us know - this car is giving me lots of projects, so stay tuned for more. Congrats on the work you've done as well - love this Jeep but it sure keeps us busy!
Thanks so much - I learned quickly that John thinks everyone knows as much as he does, so I often slow him down to answer my questions and/or clarify what he's doing.
Ugh. I'm replacing both heads, oil pump, timing chains water pump , harmonic balancer and radiator. Just waiting on heads to deliver. Probably gonna have to do the hydraulic hoses like you did as well. I'm just putting an OEM rad in tho.
Larger-than-stock radiators are on sale for the Jeep WJ, and I will be buying one from eBay soon. The after-market radiators have a larger capacity and feature tanks made of metal rather than plastic. Very professional radiator transplant surgery you have completed there sir. Those viscous fans are a poor design best replaced with a purely electric cooling fan. Speaking of the WJ, it is my favorite truck of all time. I have a 2004 WJ Overland with the HO engine with just 106K miles on it, and a WJ Laredo with the standard 4.7-liter V8 engine.I don't plan on buying any other vehicle until the cows come home.
Thanks so much. I thought about changing the fan system but left it alone for now. Let me know if you need to know the size I bought, because other sizes may require even more customization. I love my WJ also - it's powerful and so reliable for me to get to work in feet of snow every winter. I'm with you on keeping it for as long as possible - outside of the Dodge Hellcat redeye or demon, there's no other car out there that interests me. Marguerite is an Audi fan - but don't get me started on that... too bad I took it apart and put back together before we started our channel. LOL!
Hi..I am replacing the radiator on 2001 4.7 and the mechanic has quoted 3hrs...does that sound right,I heard 3 hrs it took to just get this one out? Thanks

Very good! Thanks!
Thanks so much - this Jeep is really keeping John busy, so we hope you'll find more of them helpful as he brings it back to life!
I love her commentary. 👍🏽

Wow, you must love your Jeep, too. Nothing wrong with going OEM - good luck with all those projects. Let us know how you do!

Don, we don't understand your question. Feel free to clarify what you need help with - John is happy to explain in detail.
