I am 66 years old. I can't even imagine a journey like this.
Satisfy seeing these.
Age does not matter only a number. Just go and get it.
With the same age as you, I plan to travel with train next year
Excellent series: a second-class trip, quiet, without any sensationalism, which brings us closer to the daily life of regions so distant for a Western European.
I think you have managed to capture the mood of this train travel. No voiceover, only captions and the sound of train. It's really pleasant and feels like travelling, not like a show. Really good! I wish I could take this trip once myself.
I agree, no narration captures the mood of the train much more but the captions mean that we still get all the information to follow the journey. this was a great video , thank you looking forward to Part 3. if there is one... :-)
And no useless music....!
I fully support this opinion
There is plenty of time to read the captions too.
This is the best Siberian Railway-video ever seen. Very, very good!!!
thanks
Dismalist
Agreed. Have seen many.
Thanks.
Indeed good, there are also guys travelled on freight trains full transib, yt channel
That's very nice amazing video _long time ikonic journey_ from vladivostok to moskwa, remembered when I lived in soviet union long time ago ...
Nothing quite like this trip exists anywhere else in the world...Feels so epic...
love this video.. just taking videos without any talking or music.. pure the train and the people sound.. your caption really nice too, with historical notes..
the grandest rail safari-transsiberian railway. one thing you must do before you die. and nobody showed it better or captured its soul right than this video series did.
Never sick of this, watching it over and over again. Some day soon going on it, some day soon
Absolute pure rail therapy....Amazing work....Big like from Romania....Thanks for sharing
E o placere foarte mare sa faci o călătorie cu trenul
E romantic și interesant..
Thank you for a journey we can only dream of undertaking.
Most beautiful!!! Waiting already for part 3 ! Many thanks you make me relive my transsiberian journey from Vladivostok to Moscow of last year!
Very enjoyable, feels I were travelling ...
An interesting video. Showing a map occasionally would be very helpful.
Or you can use google map...
Showing a map ocassionaly would be good . Previous request in this regard is perfect. Gupta
15:18 The locomotive I was working on at the time of this video was 2te10v-4864 (2тэ10в-4864).
I`ve been dreaming of taking this trip for years, and until I finally get to do it for real...........I often enjoy going through Russia with you. Thanks man.
There's something very real about this journey as if I'm actually traveling along this route. Kudos to the creator of this video for the snippets of Russo-Siberian rail history mixed with the openness of the landscape
Long journey crossing rivers, breaches and mountains in freezing winter weather...Thanks for the geography...
Thank you i enjoyed to see a railway station in my city Irkutsk
Μ
Yerofey Pavlovich - there aren't dogs. It means.. Medieval Russian boats with dragons head
This is a once in a lifetime journey for many of us, and i hope i would experience this in my lifetime.
Fra Angelico
Very very good russian music, best compartment railway traek and station, best railway line and river, best russian language
I totally agree with HillRunner: You caught in everything in your movie as it really is. And it is a great plaeasure to watch this.
just had to watch part 2. excellent scenery, and great information. really enjoyed this , now to part 3. thank you
Been looking forward to seeing part 2 Белогорск - Чита. This makes me even more wanting to undertake a journey along this part of the network with its tilted catenary poles and majestic scenery, interspersed with river bridges and interesting places along the way.
As for the catenary poles, they cannot be replaced all at once, but those about to fall or leaning into the track will be replaced immediately. Some decommissioned ones can be seen in the video.
Beautiful. I also love the Dining Car Sequences
A real bucket list trip and very well filmed. I'm very envious.
Amazed that you are awake so much. 5 in a morning in a train stay a sleep!
Excellent! Looking forward to part 3.
Best video ever!
It's amazing how much some of this looks like Amtrak's western long-distance routes. Not fast, just plodding along through forests and mountains. If it wasn't for the electrification, you could swear you were in Montana or eastern Washington.
@@shark__evil Or our trains are.
great video, beautiful landscape and interesting explanations. A great journey, thank you
Just loved it. Thanks. Waiting for part 3.
Excellent Job. I like to take this journey one day. Thank you so much! Waiting for part 3.
And you
Awesome journey, thanks for sharing with us.
28:35 - This is the loudest and nicest sound in this video! Finally a real railroad techno! Loud and clear! ;)
Love the videos, they really create a sense of the journey
THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the totally work on this mega movie
ONE TIP when you shoot through a dirty glass: Try to stick the lens barrel to the glass, so that camera shakes along with the relatively stationary strains focusing beyond dirt and giving best shots even through dirty glass!
suggesting till I saw your post thought ofthing ISome thing
Great vidéo thank you
Waiting for part 3 of your journey and more 👍👍👍
Dream journey indeed! Magnificent video shooting.
Very relaxing to watch, great filming, and a train trip of a lifetime!
This part every bit as good as part 1. Magical and very well presented with loads of information. Thank you
am wishing to travel by train from Moscow to Vladivostock
Looking forward for Part 3!!!
Intresting journey. Thank you.
Wow what a beautiful train 🚉
Subscribed! I can't wait for next part! Thumbs up!
Thank you so much
I thing travel alone first or second class is not a best idea. At the 3rd class is not comfotable but you can meet people, talking, drinking and have fun.
Fanstastic video!!!
Very nice and impressive. Lots of love from India .
thank you.
Cold Siberia. I like this video.
Certainly interesting---and L O N G!! Why did you choose 2nd class rather than 1st? Sharing with three other passengers seems to make it quite cramped. Coaches seem old---and maybe in need of attention? I can understand doing the full trip just for the sake of doing it but I doubt that I would be equally attracted! Glad you did it and shared the experience. Thanks.
Great video! Thank you!!! Like!!!
Nice trip! 👍
I am realy like this video journe trans siberia. tanah dartan yg seluas itu apa saja isinya. Yg beda di negara saya
Good nice 👍👍👌
So many stops it would drive me crazy ,,I like rail travel but this is like hard work not my cup of tea sharing sleeping quarters with strangers bit iffy but video is good I been on Indian Pacific Perth to Sydney that was nice not many stops cheers safe travels 💪💪👍👍😃🍺🦘🦘🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
This is a really great video I'm just beginning the second part thanks for making it. I have a UA-cam friend Chita , so this video will be very interesting to see his country side .
he surely fell in love with the tilting poles :)))
Just finished Part-2. As good as Part-1. Good going so far. Only one thing I am missing is any interaction you had with other passengers or the canteen staff. Which language did you speak in?
You travelled this route in early November 2019? Back to the future? 😉
It's my dream at least once in life to travel in Trans Siberian Railway.
yes; after the war I will travel this line again
Would really like to see a video introducing who you are "doc7", where you're from, and how do you manage to travel so much! Great job with all of your videos. Not sure if this is teamwork or solo.
Good
Beauty
Watching the video, nah.....actually living my dream. Super fantastic compilation with excellent complementary information and trivia. Super job.
One question regarding the low average speed of the train. Is it because there is no one behind you to make you go faster and hence just trot along your way. Of course the stations seems to be quite close to each other, and is that the reason for not really able to notch high speeds as you’d soon have to decelerate and stop. Any one can throw some light.
Love and Respects from an India Rail Fan.
The low speed is largely due to huge cargo traffic.
Very nice experience
Good show
It seem very quite place, but it seem very cold out there.
welcome in summer
This is more fascinating than I thought it would be! I encountered part 4 and realized that I just had to watch all of it. The scenery is awesome. All those communities dependent on the railroad and the integrity of that overhead electric line, yet some supporting poles leaning precariously. (I'm not convinced by Mr. Vladimir's explanation below.) I'm surprised that it's not one government-run line, but rather operated by several different companies - necessitating several train changes.
I'm afraid, you are misinformed. Of course, this is one government-run line (РЖД or Russian Railways with all its' numerous subsidieries) and there is no necessity in changing trains at all, there are direct trains from Vladivostok to Moscow going daily (and sometimes twice a day). You can ask the author why he has chosen to do so many train changes, but it certainly wasn't necessary.
well; a traveller wants to explore the cities along the line; moreover, staying in a hotel after a one or two-day rail journey is advisable
what is changed several times are the locomotives; each locomotive is only running within its own railway administration zone (albeit going to
the first or last station of a neighbouring zone)
Thank you both for the clarifications. I can well understand wishing to spend a night in a hotel after a long journey on the train!
Very good vid many thanks now for part 3
Hi again with a few more questions ... ! The weather looked not to bad with above average temperatures ?
In the winter what would be "average" temperatures in part 1 & 2 outside
The days must really be short??
Does the inside of the train stay warm or does it get chilly?
It looks like the "ground crews " do a good job of watering all of the passenger cars at all of the "major " stops...
The food looked good to me in the diner...:)
I'm just at 20:037 so far. Really enjoying the trip so far !!! :):):)
I've made the trip in early November; Temperatures are still bearable (approx. 25F); Yes, during the heating season (October - April) you'll never freeze inside of your compartment; Most cars have electric heating and a coal heater as backup; Most often, it is often too hot and stuffy inside the car; The logistics around those passenger trains is very stable, hence, they should always be enough water available in the toilet, except a passenger is misusing the toilet;
Usually on the trains of northern Mordor there is a “captain” of the train, he is usually called the “train leader”. He is responsible for the work of the Stuarts, good living conditions in the car, communication with the locomotive crew or train police in the regions. If something does not suit you can talk to him, but he is not an almighty person.
06:50 - leaning of the utility poles is not a critical defect, so there is no reason to worry about it
Permafrost melting? How long before those poles start to fall over? Very interesting journey, thanks for the upload.
Repair crews constantly repair the railway. Everyday. Building something in East Siberia is not an easy thing...
great journey bro... u r lucky... 😄🌹🙏 jai shri ram 💐
Can't wait !!! :):):)
congrats, real video and comments
A nice good match, but also an interesting one and a Siberian miuzik
old fashioned tech, not bad,

We need Russian trains in Chile. Great video!
Pretty unexpected, what do you mean by this?
hello there, may I know during your layover at Chita did you check into a hotel or just spend time at the station?
You may have mentioned it before, but what month did you travel? This is exactly the kind of weather I love.
Hi, tks for amazing series, i have a question, how do you know the train number and where it comes from and where it goes from when you see it when you're in a train ? Tks
VERY GOOD VIDEO. THIS RAILROAD SHOULD COME TO THE U S AND RUN AMTRAK
would be nice to show the price of food he bought in both russian and us currency to get an idea of cost.
everything cost about $ 3-10, most of it around $ 5,everything is 2-3 times more expensive than in a cafe or store
I guess travelling Platzkart on these trains would be the ultimate Russian adventure... XD
Great.
25:38 2000+ km and a 15 minute delay? British trains often manage that on a journey of 20km!
Russian railways very punctual
You should also consider huge cargo traffic.
15 minutes delay is the incident for Russian railways. Usually they try to catch up with the schedule to the final stop.
There is so much land in Russia and no one to be seen for miles.... I think I would do the trip but in the summer...
Winter/autumn time is better. It can be very hot in the train in summer
Not many people wish to live in places with -40...-60°C in winter, with just one or two months of cool summer and in places where almost nothing eatable can be grown because of very poor soil and cold climate. This land simply cannot feed a large number of people.
So why are the overhead wire poles leaning slightly? Is there a reason for it?
to give the ground more stability
@@doc7austin Ah, ok makes sense. Thanks 👍
