Good job John. Crosman does make a reliable nice shooting lightweight pistol. I wish they would offer a deluxe/ultimate model with an aluminum or steel breach off the shelf. It would make everyone's life better. Plus they need to come up with a better standard rear sight. What they offer I know for the price just is not good. Thanks for your hard work.

All good reasons. I have a fully modded 1377, 1322, and 2289 Backpacker which is just a 1322 with a removable butt stock. I also have all the co2 ones as well. It cost about $350 per gun to fully customize them, but that was 10 years ago. They didn't have Buck rail back then either, which has a lot of cool new mods.

Another great quality is the gun is setup perfectly for long-range math systems with iron sights. About 12"sight radius relative to the height of the front sight is perfect for MOA and/or mil calcs for distances to ~80 yds. or so...and even more fun when you calc and apply windage as well.

I have both of these guns. I have had the 1377 for over 20 years and the 1322 for at least 15. They have both lasted for so long, I am amazed. I had the Crossman 2200 (a variable pump rifle) and it burned out in under 10 years. To be fair, I shot it quite a bit. Great video. An articulate and intelligently presented list of reasons for ownership of a Crosman pistol. The only thing I did not like or understand is the mindset that allows dispatching of small animals. I believe that is wrong. That aside, it was an excellent presentation and I'm getting myself one of these great pistols.

I’ve always avoided the 13XX for the following reasons:
    - I don’t like the design; they just look odd to me
    - Single shot? Yuck!
    - Multi-pump. CO2 is so much more convenient
    - Various other petty reasons
I had pretty much decided on a 2240 for backyard plinking and ratting. Add an aftermarket magazine and it looks like a solid option.
Unfortunately for the 2240 I stumbled upon some of your videos. Frankly, your enthusiasm convinced me to try a 13XX. I found a 1377 locally well under MSRP (yay for Canadian Tire!) so now I own one. It even came in an old school cardboard box.
I still think it looks kind of goofy, but the rest of my points above are invalid. It also just “feels right” to hold; I’m not sure how else to explain it.
In summary (and as far as my wife knows), me buying a 1377 is your fault. Guess what, when I buy a 1322, it’s also going to be your fault 😂

I have (amongst other airguns) bought the Crosman 1322 and I think it is a great pneumatic pistol.
It is a good platform for pestcontrol, like rathunting in and around the barn when legally allowed. I believe it is also a good survival/ prepper weapon, would you agree?

I have a few questions for all experienced, knowledgeable users of these Crossman 1322/1377 pump pistols.
How would this 22-caliber pump air pistol versus the 177 caliber version do for small varmint control, like rats or chipmunks?
What is the largest sized varmint that you feel could be quickly dispatched with either the 22 or 177 versions?
Which one, the 22 or 177 caliber, would you choose for such a task?
