I hope you enjoy this XP-Pen Deco 03 Tablet review. I was not payed to say anything. These are my real thoughts on the tablet and my experience working with it. I really enjoyed this tablet and will be continuing to use it in my workflow when I’m painting in Photoshop on my Mac. :D

Oh...
You created a noiseless version of the picture....by hand.
Amazing work.
The painting looks more real than the photo. Great work. Great art.
The whole time, I was just watching your artwork...
It's so nice...
i forgot that i was here for the xp pen. great skill. really enjoy to watch.
Nice reveiw Gabs. Amazing drawing.
Great tip on using the dial to change brush size, such a time saver. I really enjoy using this tablet and I'm coming from using a Cintiq for years.
fyi! so the express keys can be programmed for 4 to 5 mode, like zoom in out, brush size small to large, and 2 to 3 more program shortcut that require scrolling or increase and decrease, you can change the mode by clicking of of those 6 button, you can click the same button twice to change whether it's zooming or sizes
Omg, your portrait painting abilities are impeccable. Great stuff, Gabrielle.
Beanerboy7 thank you!! :) :D
she's using the color picker...
Solaxe S . Everybody does so
its jst like real, how can you do such a amazing art !!! ❤️❤️❤️
Great review and great work Gabrielle.
Woaaahhh...that painting was dope..at the end of the video I could hardly tell which one was a painting..nice work..
Amazing. Someone with actual talent.
talent to use the color picker tool
Very beautiful painting.. I wish I'm able to do work like this.. Um.. Have you ever used the 05 star model. I just got that mode 2 weeks ago. Still practicing with it. I read that it's best to start with tracing a drawing to better understand that drawing.
Great piece. Only thing that concerns me is the Tablet driver. So far that's #1 complaint I've come across when reading about the Deco 3 pen. But I do like the dial feature cool idea.
WOW. not sure how I ended up here but that was cool. Nice work!!
Replacing the brushes and pens for a tablet is not easy, but I got more excited about your videos. Thankful.
Nicely done! :)
Thank you! :D
Love your video. I hope you make somedigital art full length tutorials too
Great review. Do you always use the color picker?
Awesome! It’s so Hyper realistic
This is amazing! If I may ask, how long did this portrait take?
i must say Gabrielle your a goddess of art i really like this peice
No way!!! lol Thank you! So glad you like it :)
Can it help me for online teaching? I want something like this for online teaching mathematics...please suggest
Yes it'll help
I think that if you lower the pressure sensitivity you won't have to press as hard to get the darker colors. Hope it helps
Its not the tool, it is the skill of the artist that matters.
Toby Teo Its two of them
Wow, much wise, so sophisticated intellect. If I had a penny for every time this platitude has been uttered, I'd be a billionaire.
Not true.
Unless it breaks from a lack of quality. You do realize that people watch reviews for those reasons as well, right?
Without the tool, artist have no skill. And the tool does matter. Without quality tools, the work won’t come out as good as can it can be no matter how good the artist. Go ahead. Go do digital painting with a mouse instead of a tablet and then do one with a tablet and see the damn difference.
Beautiful!!
This is great art. I have the same drawing tablet I love the dial it saving me so much time. But still have a long way to reach such level.
Stunning.
How would you compare it with our over-priced Wacom tablets? I've got a small XP tablet for travel without having to take my expensive Wacom. It appears it seems to work well on your level. Thx.
How did you end up liking the XP-Pen vs. the Huion?
Do you know if I can use this tablet in Lightroom?
please upload more tutorials. Its really amazing. need more tutorials for x-P artist pro 15.6
You are a great artist.
Yowzers!! Real skillz!
Very nice!
awesome!!
This looks cool.
Hey, what kind of brushes you use?
How much do you have to press to trigger the initial thin line? I know that wacom pens trigger the initial thin line just from the weight of the pen on the tablet, which is very light touch. Is it like that or if required slight more pressure to get the thin line
quick questions: which is better? Deco 03 or Star Series 06? (they both in the same range price and i'm wondering whats the difference is)
Quick question, does it have pen tilt feature?
Can I know what brush did you use???
Omgosh pleeeeease a tutorial on this skin !!! Omgosh everything is amazing !!! Pleeeease
Just WOW!!!
who was the model you referenced?
Pleeease... what brush did you use?
how does any company send a drawing tablet for the UA-cam to review
hi. how long time to make it ?
Hi Gabrielle, I just bought the tablet and I can't get the dial on the
Brush option works for me, I mean I only get the brush to be reduced
but if I turn it to the other side, nothing happens
what brushes do u use?
What program do you draw on?
hello i need your advice... I'm stuck between xp pen deco 03 wireless and xp pen deco pro medium. There is little to no price difference between them. which one would you recommend. Thank's...
nice work i like it.....
awesome...
Thanks for your review. Do you know if you can pan/zoom with the tablet on the drawing surface? Thanks again, God bless:-)
You mean like with your fingers on the tablet itself zoom in and out. No, not with this one.
Thank you:-)
Not on the surface, but you can zoom using the rotational knob on the top left of the tablet
Very nice
Nice video!
your art is nice i followed
woow I like it . tnx
Hi Gabrielle, quick question. If i currently own a Wacom Intous pen & touch tablet with only 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity would this be considered an upgrade? Thank you so much in advance for the reply!
I think it depends on what is important to you :) For me, I personally care less about levels of pressure and more about buttons/express keys and size of the tablet. The dial on this one is what made it stand out to me. And also the size, compared to other $100 or less tablets I've tried. :) I've never tried the Wacom Intuos pen and touch. Is it a reliable tablet? or are you looking for a change?
Gabrielle Brickey Yeah its a reliable tablet. However i cant help but feel somewhat limited with my pen strokes compared to what ive seen others do with higher end tablets with at least 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity. So i think im going to order this tablet and compare the two. :) Ill upload a review myself once i do. Thank you so much for your feedback.
Good idea! I think you'll like it :) it's really nice. I'm going to continue to use this myself!
Awesome
Click sens is for button click I guess. If you want to draw with lesser pressure you should adjust the curve
🤩
Cool
Would you say this is the best tablet that lives up to the 100 dollars or is there a better alternative?
I would say it's the best I've tried so far at this price point. That said I've only tried one other tablet around this price point. lol It was $70-80 I think, but much smaller. And it didn't have this awesome dial!
can you send me your brush presets? I'm having hard time finding goos brushes to use. Great video!
Exshire . You might have to buy it
Can you tell me how do you put a reference photo on your screen and draw and also use lines?
I'm new to digital, need help.
In Photoshop, what I did was I made a big canvas. I think this one was 5000 by 3500. And then I put the reference photo on the left and then I copied that over to the right to get the exact canvas dimensions. (Having the reference and the painting be the exact same dimensions helps with measuring.) Then I filled the second canvas with a green color. This is where the speed painting begins and it's what you see at 2:31. I also like to use Guides. Going to View> New Guide, in Photoshop, you can place these straight lines. When the line went orangey, thats just one where I traced the guide accross and made a new layer called "measure". (You see this at 2:50). Then I could move that layer/line around and use it almost like a ruler. At 3:58, I cropped my painting separately, as it was time for me to zoom in and do details. I had both my reference and painting open in Photoshop. Then I pressed Window> Arrange > 2 Up Vertical . Then whenever I would move around my painting, I would press Window>Arrange>Match All. This would make it so that my reference would be zoomed to generally the same spot that I was working on in my painting. :) Hope this helps! If you'd like to learn more, I'd love to see you in my Skillshare classes! I have one on the basics of Photoshop and another on painting portraits in Photoshop. Gabrielle Brickey thank you so much for the reply!
Love your work ❤️
Thank you! :)
Alt+Right click (hovering up/down) is easiest way to change brush size..
I don't know how can you draw on a black blank board and it turn out suuuuuuper cool 😱😱😱
What is the name of the software
I use a cheap Wacom tablet but just for editing photos not to draw. I always believed that I need a Monitor Tablet so that I can see exactly what I draw... Cuz for me is hard to draw on something and not see what I draw or to see it slowly on other device.. Do you think and do you recomand me this as a very good tablet that I can use even if I am beginner? And Does it work with Krita?
Sorry for late answer. Theres page with tablets what support krita. But most of them are huion or wacom.
@@asdhggkrgkrmgirejlkgelkrjg2757 thank you
Nice , Good Luck :)
does the cursor move with the stylus even when its hovering? otherwise how do you know where you're drawing! :/
Yes it does! I guess because it's so fast motion, it's hard to tell. :)
Looking at this again, I don't know why it looks like I'm painting with an arrow and an eye dropper lol. I guess that was my recording software not registering my brush cursor.
oh right ok thanks!
nice
Please, could we use our hand to navigate instead of using the pen?
Wow
Thank god I ordered this tablet OMG. I was searching for tablets with a price range of 50$ - 100$ and I came across this one, mainly because the red dial caught my attention xD. Can't wait for my order to arrive next week >_
So, how it was the tablet? Do you recommend it to me?
@@ImRealwhOunz It's really good and the precision is insane. I really like the feel of the surface because it's not too slippery nor too rough and the nibs don't wear down too quickly ( I've been using 1 nib for 2 weeks now, but it all depends on your usage ofcourse ). I noticed scratches on the surface after a week or 2, but it doesn't affect your drawing performance / quality / accuracy. All in all I would rate this product an 8.5 / 10.
Oh nice! And ive more questions: Its confortable that its wireless too right? how long does the battery run out? The pen need charge it too? Its touch? because i was doubting if buying a touch or a not touch tablet because of the rotation of the painting. and what would the tablet needs to be 10/10? Thanks Again
@@ImRealwhOunz Yup, it's wireless ( Occasionally I noticed that the response was a bit slow, but that is to be expected when you use it wirelessly ). I'm not sure about the battery life ( maybe around 240 hours? ), because I use it wired. You don't have to charge the pen as it doesn't have any batteries. I'm not sure what you mean by touch or not touch ( If you mean the hover distance, then that's approximately 1 cm ). Hmmm... I don't think I've ever reviewed a product 10/10, because every product has a few flaws. For example this tablet; I wish the wireless connection was a bit stronger, the hover distance a bit bigger and maybe a few more express keys ( Those are just my thoughts tho ). The overall quality is really great too and the tablet has a nice sturdy feeling.
Ok perfect, ill go with this then. I hope i like it. Thanks for helping me Rebo!
great' two thumbs up Mam'
Wow.. you use so little layers. I'm affraid to make mistakes so i use so many layers 😂
I have lost the audio part to your video. Wow!
Would tablets only be good for painting?
no
It can be used for any computer task :)
Gabrielle Brickey but like for graphic design programs, would it just be useful to paint?
திறமைக்கார அம்ணி,நல்லா வரையிரியே
why can't i draw in photoshop like this
A tutorial on procreate? On portrait brushes and color picking please?
I plan on making that a full class for Skillshare and Gumroad :)
Oh My God! - End
I thought it was catriona.
awesome u r just op
Can i write stories like I do with my keyboard? Well can i write a Facebook comment using this?
XP-Pen tablets have cheaper options, mine works on Linux since there is drivers to allow some options like flipping it over.
How much is this pad?
It's different depending on where you live. But you can get it from $89.99 to $129.98 :)
Gabrielle Brickey So cool, I'm going to look it up on Amazon. Thankyou so much.
You helped this starving artist. :)
So glad! Hope you like it if you end up getting it! :D
Gabrielle Brickey Thank you, I'm sure I will. : )
You have a beautiful voice XD
You are so kind! lolol XD Thank you
the sensitivity ... u know it wrong mate....
QUESTIONS
1. Can the pen/tablet buttons be zBrush shortcuts
2. Can the scroll circle be the zoom or the brush size shortcuts in zBrush
If someone already tried zBrush with this board and could enlightened me i will be gratefull
Forget the tablet look at the final drawing
I liked number 666😱😱😱
