I was going to settle down with a Deco 03 but the Pro model does look a little bit nicer.
I'm moving from a One by Wacom S so this feels like kind of a big leap for me. Order has already been placed and i'm so excited. This video definitely helped me decide.

somehow deco 03 is more expensive than deco pro in my country, so i bought deco pro
the deco pro s/m are now also available as wireless versions (pro sw/pro mw). seems like that will be my way to go then. 🙂

bought a deco 03, first tablet i ever touched besides an ipad in 2016, no complaints from me
If I were to get a tablet that doesn't have a screen I think I'd get a Deco 03, mainly because of its beautiful look, but also because it's small enough to fit on my cluttered desk without being too small, and because it's cheaper than the Deco Pro.

Good content! I learned a lot from your presentation. Ditto to your comment about nibs. I'm mystified by why these Chinese companies haven't picked up on their customers desire to have some variety in this area, as does Wacom.
XP Pen is japanese iirc

@@aefoundry I got a question.is there any problem with initial activation pressure? Do we have to put another effort on that? or is that normal?
@@dkartz6087 well it depends on how much effort your putting into it. But it is pretty known that all the Wacom competitors do need a little bit more push on them. But also if your coming from a 2k pressure tablet to an 8k one there is gunna definately be a difference. When i first got the deco I had to adjust the pressure because I was so used to my older 2k tablets or display tablets and not need as much pressure but bring in 8k and really caught me off guard.

How does it feel after one year.
I was looking for this comparison. In my country deco pro is 30 euro more expensive so i bought deco 3. Btw nice video, calm voice and good music in the background!
Awesome review. :) I looking for xp-pen deco 03 reviews in all the internet for last week and best review is your review thank you. I think i will buy xp pen deco 03. (xp pen deco 03 more cheaper in my conutry like (deco 03 "800 TL" xp pen pro, "1100 TL" unit money) My old tablet is uc logic lapazz athena m and it has so much driver problems. You can't use tablet's pen pressure sometimes and i was use it last 3 years. (in my country, technological products is more expensive than USA, Europe etc.)

Hey there, thanks for the review, found it really helpful. I'm considering upgrading to one of these from my old 2013ish 1K sensitivity Wacom, I'm pretty used to being able to produce a brushstroke in Photoshop with the weight of the pen alone, do you reckon one of these could be set up to feel similar? I found a comment on another video that seemed to suggest a driver update had helped. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
it should, the pen pressure can be adjusted to your need. when I was still running on windows I used to adjusted for my sculpting needs.

I Have a question about RPS!
RPS of Deco 03 is 266. It's more than PRO (200) which its price is higher!
I care about RPS because I love fast drawing. Also, I like to have 60 degrees Tilt!
So I want to know the defense of fast drawing in these two tablets is noticeable or not?
Deco PRO ($127):
RPS (200)
Tilt (60°)
Deco 03 ($74):
RPS (266)
Tilt (non)
So if RPS between them is not noticeable I want to buy Deco pro because it has a 60° Tilt also a bigger area.
But if it's noticeable and it's gonna be a problem in the fast drawing I will buy Deco 03 because RPS is more important to me.

I have a quaestion . Why would you buy deco 03 without tilt option on your pen when you can buy deco 01 v2 with pen tilt and for less money ?
tilt has never bothered me i have always worked fine with out it, and this video is very old so this was before the V2 came out before they added tilt on most their pens.
This video helped me out a lot but i want to know if the tilt function really matters and do i really need it?

Great vid man, wanted to ask if the scroll thing circle on the deco pro acts like a touchpad or is it like just a normal scroll wheel? Does it have clicks or anything useful to go for it.

I was bought 11.11 deco 03 is cheap than pro model but black friday these tablets have same price If you have a choose which tablet do you prefer ?
I prefer the pro if you not going to be moving your tablet from your workstation. and drawing with the pro pen feels a bit better in my opinion.

I'm sorry I cant help with that one, you would need to talk to xppen directly see if they can swap out your unit if it's still under warranty.
Isn't the wheel a touch on pro? That was my main concern with deco 03 since it is mechanical and would be used a hell lot.
I think deco 03 has wireless, but I can't find any wireless functionality on the pro. How long does the wireless work on a single charge?

hi uhm i dont have a pc and i draw on my huawei 5t, my rooms a bit dark and i dont really move places much. i dont know which one ill buy though. the deco pro s sounds good to me specially because of the pen but im not really sure because of the price

You get used to not having it but if that is important to you then make sure you get the ones with it.
Was just about to buy the XPPen Deco Pro but after watching this i'm now having 2nd thoughts, the deco pro not having the X3 smart chip😫 is the delay that noticeable?

yea it will work fine, it just really comes down to what you like to use. I have been able to use it professionally. so yea will work fine for teaching.

Deco pro S? There is an S model now. If your just talking about the deco pro, I said in the video that it is only wired.

I dont know. Probably feels alot like the deco 3 without the wireless functionality. I've never used the 02 before.

I experienced a tremendous amount of lag with the Deco 03 while using Zbrush. It also had a text box when key pressing and using the pen. Did you have any issues like this with your Deco?
as far as lag while wireless, no. I did loose connection but that was when the battery was extremely low on power. as far as text box is it when you hold shift? because if so when the text box comes up then you can change that in the windows settings. but that is a windows issue not a tablet issue.
@@aefoundry The lag was from being wired. I didn't try the wireless. I noticed that when I pushed shift, control, alt and right click on the pen it would appear as a text box on the screen. No other tablet has ever done this. I use Wacom, Huion and XP Pen various models and only the XP seems to trigger a text dialog on screen while working. It also seemed to slow the navigation down while working. The lag was when trying to move around the model, snapping and mostly interrupted smooth movement within the canvas. Also it would not register double tapping for the ZBrush menus.

depends on ur hand size, I have worked on small just fine but if I can afforded get the bigger size.

If your budget doesn't allow you to buy wacom then yes but I would look at my most recent review. About a tablet from xencelabs it cost a bit more then this but still less then wacom and blows these tablets out of the water.

@@kevhas9736 it doesn't really work like a mouse pad, so either one doesn't function like a mouse pad after my long term testing.

I am thinking about getting one of these. However, I have a wide monitor (21:9 aspect ratio). My understanding is that these tablets are set for a regular 1920x1080 ratio. Does anyone know how that will work? Will it only work on a section of my screen, or is there a way to make it work on all of it?
I used to use the deco 03 on my wide screen when I still had one. You can map it out to the section or it will cover the whole screen as well. At least from what I remember.
