Nice interview, Tommy was my favourite BBC guy in my child hood. Now that they mention the Ace Cafe - it is fucking gone!!! Spent many Sundays there on my old Honda 500 4K Cafe racer :o(

I only found out that the guy who first came up with the concept for what would eventually become Deep Purple was born in my hometown, Oldham, but left when he was 4 to live in Liverpool or something. You learn something new every day lol
