- Jon Lord & Ian Paice backstage during Deep Purple's 2000 world tour talking to Kuno. The band were performing with a classical orchestra, conducted by Paul Mann. This is a very honest interview and a must see for all Jon Lord fans!
Love Jon Lord. Humble bloke, sunny side up, very articulate.
What a lovely human being is Mr Lord, this I know from writing to him back in the 80s, he always wrote back to me no matter how busy, his signing off was always, God Bless.
I didn't mind the interviewer. Obviously his first language is not English. He asked some really good questions. You can see how much of a gentleman Jon is listening to him and giving answers that go beyond what was being asked to make it an interesting and amazing interview. More musicians and celebrities should do that!! Jon is very smart and humorous ...maybe that's why some others can't?
i like, round about four minutes thirty, the interviewer asks
"what gave you the power to do it in '69?"
(the concerto i assume)
maybe meaning the balls or the nerve.. ?? lol
i dunno, jus made me chuckle.. 🙂
@@davidevans3227I think he meant about the financing and organizing to pull off that project. His manager then gave him the impetus to do it by booking the ROyal Albert Hall when he had written only 3 minutes of his Concerto as Jon explained. Talk about being put under pressure!!!
What an absolute gentleman he was
Missed my one chance to meet Jon when he was invited to speak at an open lecture, at a Scottish University a year before his death. Unable to get away from work that day.
His solo album, Pictured within, helped me through a bereavement. Only thing which would relax me enough to sleep. Also the deep theme of loss in the album (loss of his own parents) resonated with me and helped release emotion. He Soundtracked my life from the age of 11 with his wonderful music. Greatly missed.
Wonderful man, greatly missed.

Jon Lord and Mick Fleetwood are similar in their voices and kinda similar looking too
interviewer is iver enthusiastic or too much ego. He keeps interrupting Lord
About Kuno Hurt to hear
A little loud 😂
I don't know who Kuno is, but he annoys me.
