Very beautiful relaxing video indeed. What a beautiful country is Sweden in the summertime. And this 1975 photo session for the GHV1 album is mega iconic.I first time listened to its opener's intro of SOS while coincidentally looking at the cover of this album and got hooked on them.

I remember me as a kid observing and being kind of 'starsruck' with that GH sleeve.Frida's shot with her charachteristic laughter that came straight from her heart and her Cleopatra red-coloured haicut (featured on the inside photo)and then Agnetha's gloomy '70s 'eyes-hadowed' look, her blonde hair, animal print scarf, blue jean and those clay-brown coloured boots on the cover with the fallen autumn leaves, Benny's red jacket and Bjorn's hilarious '70s boots not to mention the music featured in..An icon and a magical sense that got marked in my teenage mind .

@@bobbysbrother137 The official Abba fan club (i think based in Holland) should inform all 4 Abba members about this archived fabulous job you did about them in your channel.I'm sure they'll appreciate this and be very interested, glad and proud .And i have a slight suspicion that Frida has possibly taken notice on this.Thanx for your offer B'sb.

What beautiful parks you have in Sweden. I remember seeing all these images back in the day. Nobody can ever forget the park bench photo on the first greatest hits album. ABBA were just becoming very popular here in the UK at the time and that album was top of the album charts in my 10th birthday in 1976.

I always love your on-location videos, especially this one, since the photo of the Ladies sitting on the grass is one of my absolute favorites of the two of them - it's so beautiful!!! And I'm looking forward to a stand-alone video on the iconic photo shoot for the Greatest Hits album that you talked about - in fact, I have a large poster of the photo on the park bench at home, and I love it! I remember, back when "Don't Shut Me Down" was released, another ABBA fan called that photo "the original wooden bench, getting harder by the hour" in a comment!😄

That was really interesting. I've enjoyed ABBA's music since the first time I heard them. (Dance, While the Music Still Goes On and SOS, on those music compilation LPs they used to sell on TV)
These photos bring back good memories. And your video was a lovely mix of those memories and the present, along with a tiny hint at Swedish history. I live near a Maritime museum in the US, and would love to see yours, someday. If I ever get to Sweden I will be certain to tour the museum and have something at the restaurant. Thank you for the music(al history)!

Nice to see the restaurant and Maritime Museum again. I made my pilgrimage to Sweden way back in 2011 before the ABBA Museum opened and spent a whole day visiting these locations simply walking around Djurgarden. I remember visiting both these locations as well as the Kanal featured in ABBA - The Movie, The Rain Shelter from the 'People Needd Love' single sleeve, The Manilla (?) school where close by they shot the 'Bang-A-Boomerang' video, Stigs Villa and his grave before ending up in Skansen and blagging our way into Kronbergs Atellje where the iconic picture below Eros the Angel was taken for The Visitors album. Djurgarden is such a beautiful island.

Greatest Hits was my first album, that photo has always been my favourite, I was looking for folk music and that album was in there, the photo looked like a group it would be good to listen to, kind of funny the way two sit making out they do not notice the two beside them, perhaps their songs were fun as well, the titles looked good so I bought it. Years later and still hooked on ABBA I met someone from Belgium and we became good friends, we never got to see these places but we did go to Brighton to walk where ABBA had and that's where we found a special door, the stage door of the theatre, my friend said we should get a photo with us standing by it and DK my friend stood there first. Thats when it happened just as I took the photo the door opened and startled us, so yes beware of opening doors in ABBA's foot steps you never know. Apapa

I'm enjoying this tour of Sweden and Abba history a lot, thank you. Just a suggestion for even more work than what you've done here, which is to say this suggestion is almost done tongue in cheek as you already have done so much, but as a person familiar with Photoshop, the first thing I wanted to do was to adjust the color balance of the old pix with the backgrounds, or adjust the backgrounds to match the old pix when you did the overlays.

It's a gatefold album. Benny and Frida are on the other side. So It can be folded out to show the whole picture. On the original Scandinavian release of Greatest Hits, they used a painting of the group with Benny and Frida on the front side that time.
