Ross kemp is a great human being and a great actor him and the late Barbra Windsor were so close she was like his second mum him and Steve McFadden were great in EastEnders together I would love to see Ross kemp back in EastEnders

No, he's right. Grant may have been seen on screen in early 1990 but Ross Kemp probably began filming as Grant in late 89, he would've certainly been given the role in 89 so when Micheal Aspel said you got your big break in 89, that's corect.
This was when the show was starting to scrape the barrel a bit. Or maybe trying to appeal to a younger audience by having more recognisable "big names" on. Either way, it was towards the demise of the show.
