Turns out it was a sliding hiatal hernia touching the vagus nerve near my heart giving me bpm spikes up to 160. Dont mean to guestimate your condition but since you mentioned ur very active person I thought I could maybe help. This happened to me a few times during a really stressful time of my life, even though the moments themselves weren’t stressful. I did faint a few times though, twice after dabbing. I went to the doctor and gave me a EKG and blood test and it all came back normal. I really hope it’s nothing serious for you, but you seem to be on top of it. But yes please try to calm yourself if you can. Anxiety really does affect our bodies. I am a naturally anxious person myself, but we just gotta do what we can. I’m so thankful you still make us update videos. Please take it easy dude! We care about you greatly!

Hey man, mid-thirties here, also go-fast/anxious mentality. A couple years ago I also experienced this extremely fast heartbeat that lasted all night, like 5-6 hours. I was really scared. Next morning wasted $300 at urgent care for them to do an EKG and they said everything was normal and I probably just had a panic attack. I never had one before. So then, just like your story, over the next few weeks and months I got smaller mini versions of that panic attack, but mine were accompanied by some random chest pains too. Now, I'm a healthy guy who eats decent and works out, I don't overdo any drugs. So I'm fairly certain, based on what you described, that you just had an anxiety/panic attack. Unless you've already had one before and you know for sure that this wasn't it but panic attacks can have the same symptoms as a heart attack which is why they're so damn terrifying. So, fast forward about a couple years and I can't even remember the last time that I had those symptoms again. Your description sounds exactly like an anxiety/panic attack if that gives you any peace of mind. It gets better because you begin to recognize the symptoms and stop it before it even begins. I can give you some pointers on that if you want as I've had a lot of experience, I don't want to make this comment too long. One thing I must mention, try to switch to dry-herb vaporizers instead of combusting the flower with fire. Dude I'm telling it's the ultimate way to toke. The one I use doesn't need batteries, you heat it with a torch until it clicks. It's from a small company in Wisconsin called Dynavap. I got their Omni a few years ago and I love it. As you know, vaporization of flower has so many benefits compared to burning it. Starting with efficiency because when you combust your flower with fire, you also burn much of the actual compounds that you want. The flavor is also absolutely amazing because you can taste all of the different terpenes of your bud with a vaporizer. And of course it's way less harsh for your lungs, it's probably the safest way to smoke anything if you had to smoke. I'm honestly done with joints and bongs, as fun as they are, vaporizing is just the superior way to enjoy weed. Sorry for the rant. If you want to toke but also be healthier in life, switch to a dry herb vaporizer. Not the liquid filled cartridges crap but the one where you load up your own flower. There are battery operated ones like the pax but I like the analog feel of still using a torch or lighter with the Dynavap. The Omni is a bit pricey though because it's highly engineered titanium but they also make cheaper versions like the M which I hear is just as good. Anyway, sorry for ranting. I feel you on the stress and anxiety. I was and still am going through something similar. I have an appointment with a cardiologist in October! They're going to do an echo and stress test! I agree with you in the fact that I think my stressful, anxiety filled life has caught up to me...I do wimhof style breathing exercises and the occasional cold shower. It helps A LOT! I also found running and outdoor activities help as well. I wish you all the best, chairs!

Here's hoping they're just panic attacks bud. Sorry you're going through it. I've dealt with some pretty bad panic attacks before and you described them exactly. Light headed, nearly passing out, extreme heart rate. As counterintuitive as it sounds, quitting the pot helped stop them. Love you bud. Glad you're upright and talking.
Paul, been subbed since 2013 and have loved every video. So many memories with you man. I have had this exact thing happen to me, it started in 2018. I remember the say like yesterday, i was hanging out with my family and out of nowhere my vision went tunnel and my heart started racing out of my chest. Everything you described to the detail... it lasted 8 hours almost. One of the most miserable experiences of my life to the point that it changed me forever. Doctors gave me clean bills of health, every specialist told me i was perfectly fine. I even quit smoking the ganj for 2 years because i thought it caused it. It has continued randomly, somehow around the same time of year every time. I will say it eventually became manageable. when it happens, as dumb as this sounds, i pretend it isn't until i get distracted enough that my heart calms down. Also, i have become very aware of how my heart keeps rhythm and am able to regulate it to a certain degree. It only happened after smoking for me but over the years its become easier to deal with and happens very rare so I eventually was able to start smoking again without incident. I believe it is anxiety related or changes in the body as we age honestly. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions dude, I would be glad to help in any way I can

Hey Paul! Get well soon! I know it is hard to break the habit and the best thing you can do is go to therapy. I had no idea I needed to go to therapy until I met my wife, she was struggling with depression and anxiety and talking to her I realised I had some of these habits too and I had no idea these habits could be bad for your health. It's still hard to break that habit even going to therapy but they give you tools to make it easier. At work im still having some anxiety and stressing myself out but im working on that. So I first watched your videos when I was 14, you were still in Colorado at the time. I was a budding stoner, weed eventually led me to pills, which led me to heroin/cocaine speedballs and now I’m sober off of everything. After doing quite a bit of IV cocaine and heroin for several months, my heart started acting crazy. I was not eating well, doing hard drugs, ironically, it was when I stopped doing the drugs that the issues presented. My heart began pounding out of my chest every night, for several hours. I could not sleep and was having panic attacks over it daily, which made it worse. I can relate to you on this, it’s very very scary. I had never felt like I was so close to dying. I started drinking lots more water, got my blood pressure checked and medicated, started exercising, and now it doesn’t happen anymore. Take care of yourself!

So then, just like your story, over the next few weeks and months I got smaller mini versions of that panic attack, but mine were accompanied by some random chest pains too. Now, I'm a healthy guy who eats decent and works out, I don't overdo any drugs. So I'm fairly certain, based on what you described, that you just had an anxiety/panic attack. Unless you've already had one before and you know for sure that this wasn't it but panic attacks can have the same symptoms as a heart attack which is why they're so damn terrifying. So, fast forward about a couple years and I can't even remember the last time that I had those symptoms again. Your description sounds exactly like an anxiety/panic attack if that gives you any peace of mind. It gets better because you begin to recognize the symptoms and stop it before it even begins. I can give you some pointers on that if you want as I've had a lot of experience, I don't want to make this comment too long.
One thing I must mention, try to switch to dry-herb vaporizers instead of combusting the flower with fire. Dude I'm telling it's the ultimate way to toke. The one I use doesn't need batteries, you heat it with a torch until it clicks. It's from a small company in Wisconsin called Dynavap. I got their Omni a few years ago and I love it. As you know, vaporization of flower has so many benefits compared to burning it. Starting with efficiency because when you combust your flower with fire, you also burn much of the actual compounds that you want. The flavor is also absolutely amazing because you can taste all of the different terpenes of your bud with a vaporizer. And of course it's way less harsh for your lungs, it's probably the safest way to smoke anything if you had to smoke. I'm honestly done with joints and bongs, as fun as they are, vaporizing is just the superior way to enjoy weed. Sorry for the rant. If you want to toke but also be healthier in life, switch to a dry herb vaporizer. Not the liquid filled cartridges crap but the one where you load up your own flower. There are battery operated ones like the pax but I like the analog feel of still using a torch or lighter with the Dynavap. The Omni is a bit pricey though because it's highly engineered titanium but they also make cheaper versions like the M which I hear is just as good. Anyway, sorry for ranting. I feel you on the stress and anxiety. I was and still am going through something similar. I have an appointment with a cardiologist in October! They're going to do an echo and stress test! I agree with you in the fact that I think my stressful, anxiety filled life has caught up to me...I do wimhof style breathing exercises and the occasional cold shower. It helps A LOT! I also found running and outdoor activities help as well. I wish you all the best, chairs!

Here's hoping they're just panic attacks bud. Sorry you're going through it. I've dealt with some pretty bad panic attacks before and you described them exactly. Light headed, nearly passing out, extreme heart rate. As counterintuitive as it sounds, quitting the pot helped stop them.

Paul, been subbed since 2013 and have loved every video. So many memories with you man. I have had this exact thing happen to me, it started in 2018. I remember the say like yesterday, i was hanging out with my family and out of nowhere my vision went tunnel and my heart started racing out of my chest. Everything you described to the detail... it lasted 8 hours almost. One of the most miserable experiences of my life to the point that it changed me forever. Doctors gave me clean bills of health, every specialist told me i was perfectly fine. I even quit smoking the ganj for 2 years because i thought it caused it. It has continued randomly, somehow around the same time of year every time. I will say it eventually became manageable. when it happens, as dumb as this sounds, i pretend it isn't until i get distracted enough that my heart calms down. Also, i have become very aware of how my heart keeps rhythm and am able to regulate it to a certain degree. It only happened after smoking for me but over the years its become easier to deal with and happens very rare so I eventually was able to start smoking again without incident. I believe it is anxiety related or changes in the body as we age honestly. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions dude, I would be glad to help in any way I can

Hey Paul! Get well soon! I know it is hard to break the habit and the best thing you can do is go to therapy. I had no idea I needed to go to therapy until I met my wife, she was struggling with depression and anxiety and talking to her I realised I had some of these habits too and I had no idea these habits could be bad for your health.
It's still hard to break that habit even going to therapy but they give you tools to make it easier.
At work im still having some anxiety and stressing myself out but im working on that.

Felt like i knew you…
So I first watched your videos when I was 14, you were still in Colorado at the time. I was a budding stoner, weed eventually led me to pills, which led me to heroin/cocaine speedballs and now I’m sober off of everything. After doing quite a bit of IV cocaine and heroin for several months, my heart started acting crazy. I was not eating well, doing hard drugs, ironically, it was when I stopped doing the drugs that the issues presented. My heart began pounding out of my chest every night, for several hours. I could not sleep and was having panic attacks over it daily, which made it worse. I can relate to you on this, it’s very very scary. I had never felt like I was so close to dying. I started drinking lots more water, got my blood pressure checked and medicated, started exercising, and now it doesn’t happen anymore. Take care of yourself!
