I picked up an immaculate copy during covid times. I used to play HQ a lot when it came out and my friends older brother and his friends played this. Id be petrified turning the box upside down with those fragile little doors loose in there! I have all the extra Skaven featured and the ones from Terror in the Dark I slowly acquired and a few other monsters, but not painted them yet - yours look amazing! The round bases compared to the tile sizes really are quite irritating! I use my Stormvermin on their 18mm square bases as I've not got round to painting the 20 that come with the game. There's an 'Enhanced Advanced Heroquest' rule set which is meant to iron out some of the problems this presents. It does have a growing fanbase - hence the price rising quite a lot in recent years. The expansion goes for close to £400 and only contains cardboard tiles lol
I had _Advanced HeroQuest_ at one point but no-one I knew wanted to play it (they were all more into the likes of _Space Hulk)_ so I never had the chance to experience it in any way. I *did* buy _Space Crusade_ and its two expansions _Mission: Dreadnaught_ and _Eldar Attack;_ I still have all three of those to this day.
This wasn't available in my local hobbyshop otherwise I probably would have bought it since Heroquest and Warhammer Quest were played weekly around my house. I didn't know this or Space Crusade existed but wish I had them. Still have Heroquest and Warhammer Quest with most of the expansions.
Who has the rights to this game now ? Would be nice if they could do a reprint. Also same goes for the original Warhammer Quest, Gorkamorka and Mordheim. But we all know GW will never do that.

@@nickellingham1764 I found the revised rules with all the scenarios. I've just rebased them all on squares
@nickellingham1764 thanks for that. Good idea getting the HQ board for the maze. Thanks for the recommendations

@@Texy88 I was the other way around. All advanced heroquest and no space crusade

I had this some years ago, like a fool I sold it. How I regret it now
