Remember when the show was "The Mando With No Name" when he was traveling around western serial style fighting monsters, helping people, and making dough? GOOD TIMES!
The show was always bad. Even back then. Not sure why people gave it the time of day. Focused way too much on the baby Yoda and Mando wasn't the super bad-a$% bounty hunter they tried to sell him as.
No not really, the show became babysitter duty the show real quick. Y’all just got fooled once again by nostalgia and blind love for SW. this isn’t gonna stop ya know that right? It’ll only get more and more and more crappy as it goes on.
@@ouchiegiverjr I would argue the sequels were the high point of crappiness because they already destroyed the OT and it's characters, but this rey movie has me worried.
@@samblack5313 which one the season 8 one who did nothing but fight a zombie and fall out a building? Or the one with actual character. Remember season 8 of that show bite the dust just like SW is
Right. How do you just get to take the name of your "master" (even though he doesn't actually train her at all) simply because you don't like that you're a Palpatine (even though it was one of the worst endings in all of movies). Just go be Rey. It's not like you need a last name. Ummmm.... Yoda.
I remember when the armorer used to refer to Bo Latan as a cautionary tale… ah but Disney characters can’t be consistent and now Bo Katan is automatically leader of all lmao
Disney would never sell it back, UNLESS, their share price gets so badly affected, it starts to give the shareholders the farts. Then they'd be urging for a buyer, because the franchise is no longer making them money.
These Disney people identify and relate with the villains… because they ARE villains. They are those evil, nasty, scumbags that the good guys have to fight and take out.
You know Kathleen has gone full circle....she is such a villian that im starting to respect her dedication. No hesitation. No retreat. She just leaves ash in her wake
When Star Wars is finally, mercifully sold to another studio, they should go completely meta and produce the Tragedy of Darth Kathy and incorporate it as official Star Wars canon. She's a more compelling Star Wars villain than anything I've seen on-screen so far with Disney SW.
frankly, its funny how much they literally handed the show over to Bo Katan. First Din Jarin goes to Mandalore, risking death to be forgiven for his sins, then Bo Katan conveniently shows up to save his ass, twice, and during *Din's* journey, Bo Katan sees the mythosaur, earns the dark saber, takes credit for retaking mandalore, etc etc. just jesus christ, it started out as Din Jarin taking the risk, holding the dark saber, and being the main character and he literally just emptied all of his pockets to Bo Katan and by the end of the season bent the knee and licked her toes just incase we didn't see him giving her enough already. Also this has nothing to do with Bo Katan being a woman frankly, she is just a morally terrible character, she literally originates as a villain brat who joined a biker gang when her sister was chosen to take the throne and without any form of actual redemption arc, she just fails time and time again, starts a civil war, gets her own people escorted off of their home planet etc, and in the end she is literally handed the throne not just once, but even after being handed the throne Mandalore falls, and yet she is later, again, handed the throne...
She is a disgusting parasite piggybacking on his hard work, determination and risks. It is painfully obvious she was supposed to die in the bombing and wasn´t supposed to be in the show because Favreau knows she is hated by 90% of fans. If you imagine the same episodes without her, with minor changes and focused on Din (and Grogu) you can easily see what the original plan for S3 was.
I had a mando Facebook cover for the longest time but i just had to take down since the release of s3. It was too embarrassing. These hollywood people are smoking top notch CRACK
I love that they've made The Force basically just another thing that can be given. Not something you have, or something you can learn. No no. It's just given. Like superpowers through the mail.
George opened that door with his midachlorians. Face it, if it wasn't for the old books and comics and games, SW would be a nothing dead franchise. Lucas and Disney only ever made crap.
@@sandman_says_runrunner4701 Only Empire is a *good* movie and the others are carried by the work of ILM. Half of Jedi is Ewok (George Lucas) crap. No, they're not awful movies, but let's not pretend that they're better than they were. The Special Editions revealed Lucas fully for what he is and the Prequels only solidified it. He scammed Disney into buying his dead brand, and people only needed to see Force Awakens to see the writing on *that* wall. Again, the EU and the imagination of the fans are what made Star Wars, Star Wars.
Let the past die? They brought back Bo-Katan Kryze, who has a enormous past in the story wars saga. She has one of the best character arches-- other than Ashoka--in the entire star wars franchise.
Terry came through!!!! I really can't believe someone at Paramount let this happen...he just crapped all over 10+ years of hot garbage masquerading as Trek.
Im absolutely ecstatic that my childhood idol, a selfless hero willing to lay down his life to protect his friends and save his family, has now been reinterpreted as ‘a cautionary tale.’ I really want to like the new stuff, but I guess my time has passed and they don’t really make these shows for people like me anymore.
Why do you want to "really like the new stuff" when it's obvious they dont care about the viewers, the show and only want to push their agendas? Sound like you are part of the problem, you probably bought this shit instead of warching it free on the internet.
"Let that be a lesson to you, bigot. Wanting to go on adventures, save princesses, and destroy an evil corporat- I mean, Empire, leads to your downfall. Stay home and consume product instead" - Disney
They engineered someone to have the Force? That reminds me of the good old saying "Once everyone's super, no one will be". And of all places, this was said in a Disney movie.
has anyone else noticed that all these major shows and movies the actors dont actually act anymore, they just read there lines in a monotone monoexpression its so boring
Everyone suffers selective memory loss around Mary Sue Boo-Karen: Ahsoka forgot she tried to murder her and terrorized civilians, Obi-Wan forgot she got Satine killed, Din forgot she lied to him, manipulated him for her personal gain and REFUSED TO SAVE GROGU until she found out Din tracked Moff´s location and she smelled a chance to get her bloodstained hands on the darksaber again.
Just because they knew where it was, doesn't mean they were just going down there to check on it, especially since they were low on supplies and lacked the manpower. The forge also wouldn't have aided in their survival, so why bother risking going down there? It wasn't until Bo-Katan and her forces arrived to take back Mandalore when going back to the forge became necessary.
@@Plonktun They didn't need to go down to check it out. The entire operation was large, there were ships coming and going constantly. I called that last night, what you said about this being turned into: Good women against evil men. And Rey coming back to restore the Jedi Order, I called it.
Bo-Karen is not a good person, and never will be anything else than a villain to me. She is basically a female H1tler and also a terrorist and sisterslayer with extra steps.
Yeah. As a woman myself, I had to raise an eyebrow at that. And even if it is... so what? It's a good story, good worldbuilding. Who cares if the main characters are men? Not to mention there are lots of good female SW characters....

Season 1 was still fun don't get me wrong (appart from the awful episode 4). Season 2 was very slow and easy to predict. I have never seen The Mandalorian, but I was an MCU fan. This reminds me of what happened in Loki. The bait and switch, Sylvie being "the superior Loki," Loki basically folliwing Sylvie around lovestruck, and the idea established by the Multiverse where they explored, "What does it mean to be a Loki?", turning one character into an archetype "identity" to justify the weird bait and switch.
Never mind how creepy it would be to make love to an alternate gender version of yourself. Obviously the female version turns out superior! The M-She-U in its full simping glory was Loki!
I totally get this, but there's SOMETHING to the Loki series, it's pretty much "what is Loki?" as a concept, it's MEANT to be dumb as a parody of the woke and watered down stuff. Now I can't prove they INTENDED this(big lols) but the Owen Wilson lines "Oh yeah, I'll trust a Loki!?" stuff seems to be 4th wall breaking meta comedy with a tiny bit of drama thrown in. I used to absolutely love star wars. It was my favorite film franchise. Since i first watched the OT as a child, the films thrilled my imagination. They taught me the lessons I kept with me my entire life. The importance of hard work, determination, getting up and out of your comfort zone in order to better yourself and those around you, loyalty to friends and family, and persevering through adversity, no matter how much or how severe you get knocked down. And most important of all, it is never too late to stop your wrong course, and redeem yourself. Even the sequels taught me that the easier route to achieve your ends are not always what is best. Patience and hard work will always be more fulfilling than taking shortcuts. Also listening to your elders, and taking their advice to heart will serve you well. I absolutely despise everything that Disney has done to Star Wars. It has destroyed everything that has come before. The heroes of the OT? Dead and worthless. They weren't that great all along. Vader's sacrifice? Null and void. Palpatine? Alive. I feel complete apathy towards any current and future Star Wars project, and judging from what I'm seeing, that will not change any time soon. I simply do not care anymore. To me, Star Wars is dead. RIP.
I feel the exact same way. The only thing I appreciate Disney doing is bringing back Temuera Morrison into Star Wars and the hallway massacre Vader did in Rogue One. Everything else sucks.
Cool, stop watching and then you can stop complaining like a wretch who enjoys being miserable. This season was basically on par with The Clone Wars series, and that's cool with me I don't like the sequel trilogy at all, but I don't care that they're trash. Mando season 1 was amazing. I'm so sad that he's been usurped by some kind of Powerpuff Girl tale (with helmets). I don't know why we would care at all. I guess it's nostalgia. We just remember when we had heroes.
It"s actually rooted in a misunderstanding. See, when Christopher Lloyd first encountered their ancestors, he told them he was a man in a delorean, and they just misunderstood.
I view it as more of the “No true Scotsman fallacy”. A “REAL” Mandalorian would never take off their helmet in front of others. A “REAL” Mandalorian wouldn’t surrender. Etc.
I love Ashoka, I love Bo Katan, but Disney doesn't know what to do with women. We saw this with Clone Wars, when they just gave all of Obi Wan's storylines, with Mandalore, with Darth Maul, to Ashoka... who had almost no connection to these things, because wahman. Saw this coming from a mile away, they won't let a strong female just be strong and female, she's gotta be everything and men nothing.
Thank you for proving my point that Dave Filoni is one of them. He always has been, but he gets a pass for it…why? Because the people now simping for George Lucas to come back and “praising the prequels” in truth hate George and the prequels? That’s the only explanation for how they can defend Filoni’s garbage using the guy they hate (GL) as a shield against criticism. Guess who else had George’s blessing to continue Star Wars? Kathleen Kennedy. We all know how that turned out!
@@bourbonrebel5515 That's certainly how they wrote it, because writers control when a character is busy or not, they don't have actual schedules for writers to work around
Bo Katan is no Mary Sue, in fact, she gets a beating from Moff Gideon, nor does she think she's superior to Din and her companions. The truth is that I do not understand the criticism of this character.
I'm sorry but I do NOT see how someone can like Bo Katan >She openly betrays Mando the first interaction she has with him, forcing him to do something he didn't sign up for. (oh but apparently extortion is "The Way" so it's okay) >She openly admits to not believing a single thing she played up in order to manipulate her people and even her own family to maintain power >Cliche but she is literally just a generic entitled princess >When Mando got the Dark Sabre before her she was very clearly considering killing him and taking it >When she eventually decided not to and she lost her followers, instead of doing ANYTHING productive she just sat on an abandoned throne alone. She would literally rather die alone on an abandonded throne than actually be a functioning person. And I'm sure there are many more that I'm forgetting, I really stopped caring past season 2. All of these effects are compounded though by facts like >Already mentioned but, why Mando said "this is the way" to her, AFTER SHE JUST BETRAYED AND EXTORTED HIM >She gets to violate "the way" as decreed by the head of the "cult" herself, the forgemaster, in other words she is literally so perfect the rules don't apply to her >She gets to see the mystical ancient beast of legend etc. She is just a horrible character that the show continues to reward ad nauseum.
only thing that will at that point, still be sad, is they will have missed the chance to be able to bring the real luke/hon/leia back to continue and let the story unfold properly. disney star wars will be like a giant sh!t stain that won't wash out
George Lucas literally made force-acquisition based on your genetics (midi-chlorians). It's surprising that Moff Gideon was the first to think, "Why can't I try to change my genetics so that I have more midi-chlorians?" -- Also, I was pretty sure that this was Pershing's angle in Season 1 when he was extracting Grogu's blood (and it was born out by what Moff Gideon said to Din Djarin in Season 2), so it was relatively well foreshadowed.
I remember in the EU that we got treated to Grievous’ construction after his otherwise ‘fatal’ injuries, the blood given to him was from the late Sifo-Dius’ but it still did not give Grievous force sensitivity. Practically snubs anyone who thought it would work that way.
Anyone else notice how one of the Mandalorian dudes flew from below the surface of the planet to outer space on a single jetpack. Funny considering they couldn't do that whilst chasing the child eating bird a few episodes ago.
Maybe the want to flew back after they rescued the kid? You have to decide for a one way Ticket or not, if you have a jetpack. Of course, his father (viszler) would have done it for his son.
Since they are on a planet like that the fuel is way more limited to them compared to the nite owls who have the better technology and more resources. They would have also fully filled their tanks before the big mission compared to a spontaneous rescue. Its like saying oh my 2023 ford fiesta with a full tank went way further than your 1976 one with half a tank.
We need to stop giving it our energy. When we take the trash out, we don’t give it a second thought. That’s what we need to be doing with this. Take it out, forget it.
I’m with ya on this, but the brand has too strong a hold on people. I use to be a hardcore fan and whenever I see hype for SW now it actually kinda turns me off to wanting to interact with those people. Everyone can decide what they like, but if you like smelling and touching shit….I don’t wanna be around that. =\
My ideas for a better Season 3: Starting with the journey of Bo Katan and Din Djarin to reunite Mandalore, the third season of The Mandalorian could take an unexpected turn when news reaches them that Moff Gideon has not only escaped but has also stolen Grogu from Luke Skywalker. As Din and Bo Katan continue their quest, they must also embark on a mission to rescue Grogu and stop Gideon's nefarious plans for the child. The remaining episodes could follow their desperate search for Grogu, as they also uncover more about Gideon's past as a mandalorian foundling expelled from the cult explaining his obsession with mandalorian culture and drive to get revenge on mandalore. The season could end with an emotional two-part finale, as Din and Bo Katan reunite to save Grogu and defeat Gideon on Mandalore.
If that had happened and in the finale either Bo Katan or Grogu died in order to destroy Mof Gideon and stop his clones, it would have been much closer to redeemed. Ironically that probably would've sold more Grogu dolls, which is all they really want
Boo should have never been intorduced into the show. Din and Grogu could have done all that stuff they did without her: - Grogu could have force-crushed the cyborg and then the cage mechanism. - Din could have bathed in the Living Water and the mythosaur could have appeared epically. Grogu could have Force-tamed him. (foreshadowed by "your ancestors rode the great mythosaur" and Grogu Force-taming the rancor in Book of Boba). - Din could have flown his superfast Naboo fighter after the flying creature and map the terrain. - the armorer and the whole clan could have seen Din as the chosen one to unite the clans because of the darksaber and the mythosaur encounter - Din could have gone to gather more clans because he has the darksaber and they would have followed him. Bo is a dead weight to the whole show. Nobody cares about her. Nobody started to watch the series for her, she wasn´t even in it in S1. It is painfully obvious where they had to insert Boooo into the script. Like when everyone was like "Why were they waiting through the night to save the boy?" Because KK wanted Booo Mary Sue getting praised by others and having the honor of staying by the fire when they were eating. Or why is she the only one besides Din who has a ship? How did the Mandos get on that planet? Did they took a taxi and killed the driver? It is obvious there was supposed to be a second, larger ship which can contain a group of Mandos. When Din gave the motivation speech to convince the clan to help Karga and move to Nevarro, Paz said Din and Booo wanted to help Karga. But Booo said nothing, it was Din´s speech, because original script was written only for him and Paz for that scene. The investigation of droid attacks should have been done by Cara (because she is a cop) and Din. This proves Booo wasn´t supposed to be in that episode at all and Din was supposed to fight that m0r0n in blue armor. He was also supposed to see the mythosaur in the mines after taking bath. This would give him confidence to accept his place as the ruler and wield the darksaber like a pro. I´m convinced Favreau´s original idea was to let Booo finally die in the bombing of her castle, understanding she is highly unpopular. But Furloni can´t let go of his crappy fanfic character and KK wanted grrrrl power. There were rumours about 2 years ago Pedro will remove his helmet more often in S3. There was an interview where Pedro talked about it. It was on UA-cam somewhere. That would make sense if his story from the underdog to the ruler was finished as originally planned. It was all supposed to lead to the clans uniting with one basic creed for all of them. So getting rid of the helmet rule would make sense, and who else would be the one to establish it than Din? He met Mandos from other clan and Boba. They sidelined him and put Booo on his rightful and earned place as someone who "walked both worlds". OMG! Din "walked both worlds" too, and some more. He was the one who accepted Boba as worthy of his armor, not Booo. She has not apologized yet. She is the worst character in SW and should have been killed off in TCW by Ahsoka as was originally planned.

Loving it how these people are so 'invested' in their characters... that they have nothing real to say about them. Good job Disney; keep feeding those millions into the fire.
It's almost like they don't even know who their character is or what the story is. We saw the same thing from Rings of Power marketing when the actress who plays the dwarf princess Disa repeated over and over how proud she was to be a woman of colour and a dwarf princess, how this is a real first, and now how so many more people can feel represented. Not a word about the character she is playing, who actually is quite a strong, independent woman despite being married with children. "The Message" is the priority, and the story they're supposed to be acting out is a distant runner-up.
@@dronesclubhighjinks absolutely - they're all talk and no substance! Real actors *BECOME* their characters; they either portray them as they should be to the best of their ability if their character has a set history, or in the case of new additions to a set story, LEARN about the lore behind it all and bring them to life - make them into something that becomes well-loved/remembered for being great. And now? As you've said - "The Message" is the only thing they pay attention to - it's a no-effort cash-grab for them. Glad I've got my old DVD and Blu-Ray collection; it's going to get a workout over the next few years, the way things are going! 😅
@@OzyWazza yes, i’m in the process of buying DVDs of favourite movies, and even of just-enjoyable movies, which weren’t the absolute best, but are still 1 billion times more entertaining than any of this “modern audiences” bilge. When I watch behind the scenes features for excellent movies, and the actors describe how they research their character, you can tell the actor cares about portraying the character accurately. It’s a professional goal as an actor, but it’s also respect for the author. An excellent example of this is David Suchet, who plays Agatha Christie’s Poirot. Most of the classically trained British actors are very interested in the craft of acting, and exploring the psychology of the character and everything, as opposed to just wanting to get famous and rich like most American actors seem to prioritize. At least the American actors used to put some effort into their acting, but this new bunch doesn’t seem to put much effort into acting. The trade-off is that they’re also not getting rich and famous. At least we can still enjoy our old favourites! Have a great weekend!
I LOVE the part where they say the Stormtroopers are "wearing Beskar" and then proceed to all be OHK'd for the rest of the fight and ALL of the finale all while bolts ping off Din and do no damage at all...in the same episode... Bo stabs a trooper through the back...they literally forgot Beskar is resistant to lightsabers in their own show. (Watched it again...yeah, no, 100% they are shot in the armor and go down most if not all, just like any normal stormtrooper and the trooper Bo stabs in the back, the point of the Darksaber is coming through the armor)
@@SkullKing11841 This is true...at first, for the initial engagement but shortly after they down grade back to basic Stormtroopers who take one shot and go down, especially in the last episode where they are just canon fodder all over again. (Edit I'm actually wrong here, it doesn't even last for the first engagement, rather the first trooper hit, and the last before they run away, they go down like basic troopers in the very first fight) As for not covering the whole body, neither do the Mandalorians and I'd argue the have near enough the same level of coverage...but this is a grade A case of hilarious plot armor if I've ever seen one. What effectively should be happening here is two groups of people rather futilely firing blasters at each other to little to no effect...instead we get near ever every Mandalorian taking shots and every stormtrooper getting offed, Paz taking down 30 single handedly and he blasts them out of the sky while taking numerous shots without injury, and as I mentioned in the last episode in particular, they're just regular stormtroopers again, getting clipped anywhere and going down immediately. Clone Wars and Rebels did the exact same thing WITH the Mandalorians, the armor only matters when it's plot related.
Season 3 was terrible. How are you going to take a side character, with minimal backstory and virtually no growth or development as a character and make her the "main character"? What has Bo Katan done to justify becoming the lead of a once-good show? It was a very forced, jarring bait and switch.
Kinda goes to show that Disney has some idea what we want, they just really don't want us to have it. If we won't swallow the bitter pills of their corporate agenda, they'll just coat it in sugar until we get used to it, then take the sugar away.

You say that, but there's plenty of room to "recontextualize" everything. Like, apparently Obi-wan is cool with abandoning Luke to go look for Leia when the leader of an entire planet was otherwise powerless to find her. Obi-wan also planned on protecting Luke with his lightsaber buried in the dessert by I guess never failing his Charisma checks. Oh, and also he apparently had an opportunity to finish the job he fucked up on Mustifar but decided to just straight up let Vader live this time, thus placing the blood of countless lives in his hands. mando is the true one who walks both ways and he earned the dark saber on a fight YET disney decided to give leadership to bokatan for no reason... it seemed forced
He walked more worlds than just two Mandalorians worlds: he was born on a peaceful planet, he was bounty hunting on various planets and interacted with various people and aliens. He worked with Boba and with Cobb and saw both of them as worthy of the armor. He united Cobb´s town and the Tuskens. He was foreshadowed as the new leader and uniter of the clans since S1. I wonder if there will ever be the REAL season 3 which was promoted with the trailers and promo pictures and foreshadowed since S1. Or at least the original scripts could be placed somewhere on the web, so people could see Favreau´s original vision.
Dude when I saw Din pledging himself to Bo and getting all soft all I could see was Joel crying his feelings out to Tommy. Smh. They made Joel soft and now they’re making Din soft and sidelining him in his own show. Well apparently it’s not his show anymore 🤦🏽♂️
I didn't exactly like when Din pledged himself to Bo, but what's wrong with bringing in other characters in persistent story telling? Like so what if they do that? Why be so rigid? I only care if its written well.
Oh no a normal mandalorian pledged themselves to a mandalorian royal liniage and person who saved his life on multiple occasions, not from woman power but from years of battle experience.

It just kills me how badly Disney has managed to ruin everything they possibly could with Star Wars. It feels like a scene from a horror movie where a close family member is tortured to death in front of the main characters. And I really wish I could stop watching. But I can't. Star Wars was literally everything to me as a kid and seeing Revenge of the Sith in theaters is still the best time I've ever had in a movie theater. I can't just leave it be, even though I know every time I go back hoping for better, I get hurt all over again
For Luke to be cautionary tale you would need to tell the story of how he went off the rails morally, not have it happen off screen or in small flashbacks. They are really just highlighting the bad storytelling Disney Star Wars indulges.
It's nice that he summed up the dumpster fire of Disney but even the Star Wars ride is themed on taking the visitors HOSTAGE and locking them in a cell as if that NAZI experience is somehow fun...
I love that it's easy to criticize which proves it sucks objectively; not 100%( i don't think that's possible) but large sections can be pointed at, explained and shown in better detail/clarity than the show tries to be believable/cohesive. It's more believably bad than good lol, an unintended form of entertainment lol
I loved the part when bo katan appeared out of nowhere, kicked din in the nuts takes the darksaber and yelled " I'm the mandalorian now" was truly one of the moments
Can you imagine there are actual groups on facebook where everyone and I mean EVERYONE praises this season? Some of them saying it's the best written show they've ever seen and they can't wait for season 4...
Ive discovered younger people love mediocrity and embrace ridiculous writing in their entertainment because it's all they ever had. It's why older people have to keep worrying about them eating Tide pods and jumping off high rise buildings or some other thing because social media tells them to.
I WANT another season; what’s wrong with that? Is not the “best tv show ever” but for me as an absolute trekkie, this show is the best Star Wars thing since Episode III and I mean it. Disney sucks, but this show is legit

I can’t even be drawn into Star Wars anymore. It’s so unbelievable and cringe. Blatantly obvious that they just want female empowerment throughout anything Disney related. I’m very curious how much longer they can go on like this.
Grogu understood the history of Mandalorians, could fight off Moff Gideon's guards and could easily control a full IG-Lancer assasin droid exosuit, yet he can't grasp the concept of paying money for a product in a marker. I feel like the showrunners make Grogu to be an absolute idiot when the show calls for it, and then just ramp up his intelligence when it's needed.
Disney has passed well into the boundaries of necrophilia with Star Wars. It is beyond dead, they are now humping it's desiccated corpse. Great review!
Disney at this point is like if the CW had a fortune. And like the actual CW, it's funny to see how terrible their writing is, but is still disappointing what they do with the characters.
I think of this season as this sending this message- you can assume leadership despite countless failures, despite a history of siding with terrible people, despite squandering a birthright, despite really accomplishing nothing that someone wasn't doing harder work for you to achieve. That's the Bo-Katan story arc in a nutshell.
Bo-Katan is the face of the failure. However, I'm prepared to forgive Bo Katan. By the series' end, they let Mando do some actual combat and allowed the male and female lead to overcome the villain as approximate equals. By modern entertainment standards, it's kind treatment of the male protagonist. So what's wrong with the show? EVERYTHING ELSE. A lot of the actors are horrible. The dialog perpetually has to do clumsy exposition to let you know both sides of a conversation. Some episodes are 30 ish minutes of filler (despite only having 8 episodes to establish a narrative arc). They can't seem to remember the show's genre (gritty space western with a dude who had demonstrated a willingness to execute). The combat scenes are often horrible. The direction is mediocre. And their solution to upping the stakes was a mech suit. The new CGI tech creates dynamic backdrops, but is still hampered by a confined scale. And for some reason Lizzo is there.
Kinda seems like your taking two episodes of a season to make it look overblown or terrible. Even then with the one or two bad episodes of this season it’s still far better than the boba fett show or kenobi show by a huge margin. Im not saying the show is perfect especially compared to previous seasons, but to make the show look like a woke show seem disingenuous at best; however I still agree with victor crates on the structure of the show as a whole and character interactions.
I actually turned off the tv and stopped watching during one of the Grogu cringe scenes early on in s3. I'm ashamed I watched as much as I did. Such a shame, with budgets like these Star Wars could have flourished.

frankly, its funny how much they literally handed the show over to Bo Katan.

@@Ligmaballin That's not what I'm saying. It's not the simplicity of the show that makes it weak, it is the lack of substance. I must say I enjoyed episode 1 to 3. There was a hype, a fresh feeling of new, thrilling, and I was surprised to be so quickly invested into Grogu's rescue. However, after that, the quality dropped immensely. Season 1 was still fun don't get me wrong (appart from the awful episode 4). Season 2 was very slow and easy to predict. Luke's final scene was awesome but the music they've chosen is ridiculously bad. I didn't like the way they've put aside Mandalorian so the show could focus on strong wahmen. Then Season 3 happened and was awful and the protagonist isn't the main character of his own show anymore, as in Kenobi and BOBF...
Yes, you liked a quite easy to follow, not very creative in terms of story, but nice show in terms of portraying the "Star Wars" feeling. And that's totally ok. If you liked BOBF, KENOBI or any sequel, it's a whole other story though lol

Never mind how creepy it would be to make love to an alternate gender version of yourself. Obviously the female version turns out superior! The M-She-U in its full simping glory was Loki!
Dude, it's not gay, og Loki and She Loki, have same genetics, so it's literally in.....est

I love how they reduced the Force to something so mundane that you could just get it from a blood transfusion.
Lol you put my thoughts into words

My ideas for a better Season 3:
Starting with the journey of Bo Katan and Din Djarin to reunite Mandalore, the third season of The Mandalorian could take an unexpected turn when news reaches them that Moff Gideon has not only escaped but has also stolen Grogu from Luke Skywalker.
Din and Grogu could have done all that stuff they did without her:
- Grogu could have force-crushed the cyborg and then the cage mechanism.
- the armorer and the whole clan could have seen Din as the chosen one to unite the clans because of the darksaber and the mythosaur encounter
- Din could have gone to gather more clans because he has the darksaber and they would have followed him.
Imagine being handed the reigns of a 4 Billion dollar IP, the biggest IP in history, then running that IP into the ground repeatedly until nobody cares anymore.

As for not covering the whole body, neither do the Mandalorians and I'd argue the have near enough the same level of coverage...but this is a grade A case of hilarious plot armor if I've ever seen one.
@@zeroryuj6093 I got two words for you. Shot placement.
@@SkullKing11841 I have two for you. Plot armor
@zeroryuj6093 Plot armour is more the inaccuracy of storm troopers not mandalorians being accurate and hitting part of the body not covered by armour.
Season 3 was terrible. How are you going to take a side character, with minimal backstory and virtually no growth or development as a character and make her the "main character"? What has Bo Katan done to justify becoming the lead of a once-good show? It was a very forced, jarring bait and switch.
It's amazing how they destroyed any goodwill or momentum the Mandalorian had with this season.
Well, they convinced me not to waste another minute watching it, that's for sure. I'm just going to keep on thinking it ended in season 2.

While I really enjoyed all the mandalorian fighting scenes, I couldn’t help but feel like Bo more or less highjacked Din’s entire show. And I started feeling that way at like episode 4 or 5.
I saw it in Ep 2... as soon as she dove into the river to save him ...

I honestly didn't expect this outcome of Picard season 3 absolutely shitting on the Mandalorian's newest season, but here we are.
Picard S3 was like hanging out w/ old friends you haven't seen in a very long time. You just sit there and think, "damn , I missed all of you."
We could have had three seasons of this. It kind of makes me mad this is the end.
Kinda seems like your taking two episodes of a season to make it look overblown or terrible. Even then with the one or two bad episodes of this season it’s still far better than the boba fett show or kenobi show by a huge margin 😂.
Just wanna point out that Bo-Katan is a war criminal
She tried to kill her own sister
And refused to follow Darth Maul even though he won fair and square and it was mandalorian tradition
She started as One of Pre Vizsla's Goons, NOW Turns Face many Generations Later.
There's 3 shows where her character goes through changes....
mando is the true one who walks both ways and he earned the dark saber on a fight YET disney decided to give leadership to bokatan for no reason... it seemed forced

Its a cautionary tale because he is a white male. Thats it.
It turns out the real Mandalorian was the friendships we made along the way
You're absolutely right, it WAS the non-binary friendships we made along the way 😃
I do love all this cringe fest, thank you Nerdrotic for doing these videos.
Took the words right out of my mouth.
There's just something about the aroma of billions of dollars burning. It's like lilacs.
@Ignirium Like any low budget movie that takes itself really serious, and that's why it's funny.
I loved the part when bo katan appeared out of nowhere, kicked din in the nuts takes the darksaber and yelled " I'm the mandalorian now" was truly one of the moments
“I’m the Womandalorian 🗿”
Can you imagine there are actual groups on facebook where everyone and I mean EVERYONE praises this season? Some of them saying it's the best written show they've ever seen and they can't wait for season 4...
Insane right?!
Ive discovered younger people love mediocrity and embrace ridiculous writing in their entertainment because it's all they ever had. It's why older people have to keep worrying about them eating Tide pods and jumping off high rise buildings or some other thing because social media tells them to.
Knowing net, it is 100% sure that studios have hired shills writing favorable reviews about their crap movies.
I WANT another season; what’s wrong with that? Is not the “best tv show ever” but for me as an absolute trekkie, this show is the best Star Wars thing since Episode III and I mean it. Disney sucks, but this show is legit
@gadget00 Please say these words aloud and keep them in your brain: "I DO NOT NEED OTHERS' APPROVAL TO ENJOY WHAT I ENJOY."
Please. Your only responses here are going to be people berating you. Everything you already said is all you need to know.
I was pissed off after TLJ, but now I only feel sadness watching something that I cared about turn into a ESG-necro production.
The season three “plot” sounds like something written by a six year old.
I heard that when Boba2.0 was killed by the First order guys, that was Dave Feloni signally to the audience, "they have officially killed my efforts."
Disney has passed well into the boundaries of necrophilia with Star Wars. It is beyond dead, they are now humping it's desiccated corpse.
Great review!
Gross, but... accurate

I think of this season as this sending this message- you can assume leadership despite countless failures, despite a history of siding with terrible people, despite squandering a birthright, despite really accomplishing nothing that someone wasn't doing harder work for you to achieve. That's the Bo-Katan story arc in a nutshell.
Ive been telling people this all season... she fuckin sucks. She's a terrible Mandalorian.
So in other words this season was basically Kathleen Kennedy in a nutshell

Real Mandalorians would have been challenging Bo-Katan for the Darksaber after she admitted Gideon bamboozled her.
