I totally agree, keep the fish in the net and wet the hands before touching the fish. Reducing mortality = more fish to keep clients happy = more money for them. Pretty simple really. Terrible fish handling skills
Is it just me or were these guides off-putting? Kinda demeaning maybe? I appreciate a guide giving instruction, but he sure barked at them a lot. I've been on a few trips like this and it kinda ruins the fun. If I'm paying for a guide trip, I wanna have a good time, catch fish, and hang out with/make friends... not have a drill instructor... especially when you show up and are clearly experienced like I assume most of these folks were
