Got an East German one in Strichtarn camo. Love that piece of equipment
Just put the cape over your rucksack when wearing it
Wanted this to be alot longer once it got going...
This is such a great piece of modular kit, I ruck every day with a base layer, a shirt and a waterproof poncho (currently getting as low as -15'C) and my biggest gripe about the poncho is the front and how annoying it is to access the stuff on my front (usually my backpack straps or my water sack)
Genuinely might look to purchase one of these, very pretty and looks to be easier to handle
Did you buy one?
@@kamov52510 Unfortunately no, I've been a lot more strict on purchases recently as well as not constantly needing a poncho with it getting hotter and drier here, on top of which I had gotten one of Varusteleka's anoraks shortly after this comment which can be used as a poncho with sleeves due to the complete zips on both sides (not just pit zips, they go all the way down the side, it's great as I just drape the back over my backpack and my back stays dry instead of getting hot and sweaty)
Highly recommend it despite it freezing up a bit in colder temperatures but otherwise really good
I'll really have to debate on pulling the trigger and getting a Palatka in the future as I don't exactly have a need for it
What a nice video
Awesome video
awesome tutorial !
a versatile piece of kit for sure.
i will have to try a minimal shelter setup with this!
Thank you so much, just got one myself.
Might make a jump to the ole 2 arm hole design.
Makes more sense if you’re wearing a backpack
Is there a pattern and fabric spec available? Subbed and liked. Would love to make this .
This is the finished product. I don't have a pattern and I don't have the characteristics of the fabric. Here is a link from one of the sellers on ebay:
