Looks like an absolutely superb addon, the end results look fantastic when you consider it's not physically calculating as the usual liquid sims do. Thanks for drawing our attention to this one!
That is insanely fast! I've used FLIP Fluids a lot, I have an 8 core Xeon PC for 3D work but I have a seriously overclocked quad core PC I dedicate to FLIP Fluids as its just straight line Ferrari speed thats needed whereas the Xeon is like driving a semi-truck - wide, but slow. This is a great compromise!
YIP - this make things very easy. I never do simulation stuff in blender, but the more USER FRIENDLY these things get the more I want to incorporate them.,
This is cool, thank you for explaining this, so very helpful. It would be cool if it had a flow rate control, for something like a slow gentle stream in a forest scene.
maybe not 100% but that could make a totally legit waterfall in the background of a scene or maybe some water hitting one of those water wheels you see beside buildings. Pretty cool.
Hi Justin! thanks for your videos you always keep us informed of the latest news on Blender and beyond!!! I like this addon, I would like to ask you a question: is this addon good for creating a scene of a shark coming out of the water and splashing, or is it only good for creating streams and rivers? thanks ...
Probably not - I doubt it would show the splashing super well. You can set objects as effectors and move them around live, but I don't know that it's going to give you quite the detailed result you want
@@TheCGEssentials i have embergen and its cool, but nothing comes even close to the practicality of a geo node effect, think about it, u could even parent fire nodes on rigs and animate flame people and so on, i think this will be the future for most things, dont think that in 5 years we'll still bake things. Also video idea for u (in case u havent allready): Wiggle bone addon and parent to nearest bone, its insanely practical and gives u realtime realistic rig movements, check my bronze dragon video, ull understand what i mean...
Make a part 2!! I want to see you try to bake and export into another application ( Nvidia Omniverse?) I wish you could show something like a paddle hitting a big BIG domain as in perhaps a row boat on the ocean ?
Yeah - I should have waited for the whole video to finish. You nailed it Brother. Such a cool Addon. I love Blender. So many possibilities.@@TheCGEssentials
Thank you for this very helpful tutorial. However, I have two questions. On the one hand, my outflow doesn't work, the water bounces off and on the other hand, my cube, from which the water comes out, can be seen during rendering. What am I doing wrong?
Hi, the creator of the addon here. 1. Try moving up the outflow object to make its bottom is higher than fluid domain. 2. Select the cube and press "Hide object" button under Cell Fluids Tools panel. Thanks!
@@Specoolar Thank you very much for the helpful and quick answer to my question. Now it works perfectly. I was a little clumsy about it. ;-) Thank you for creating this perfect addon, it allows me to do so much more in an easy way, great job!
Rather this product will end up as flip solver. Just one example - 10 years ago PhoenixFD was simulating liquids using cells, exactly like this product does. But this lasted only few years, and it was replaced by flip based solver. The CG industry is strongly oriented to quality, the speed is important for the game industry
...then you'll have to try something else? I'm not aware of a free tool that works like this tool does, but I'm sure there's SOMETHING out there that does something
Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about Cell Fluids in the comments below! :)

Visually this is stunning. I have no need for it at the moment but can see me purchasing this and trying to fit it into my projects. Wow!
Lol - I feel that

Looks great & this thing doesn’t even use particles, still looks great especially that waterfall scene
Totally!
Fast and fun! It was very good because I was aiming for a game-like expression. I plan to use this to create various works. thank you✨
I love this tool - lots of fun!

Effector is used for animated collision objects. Ground is for static objects.
Oh no! Another add on I feel as if I can't live without. lol.
Thank you for this excellent review.
Lol - my bad :p
This addon is freaking epic. Blender FTW🔥
Thank you for another great video, Justin!
This would be so useful for concept art, where it does not need to look perfect and you can iron it out in photoshop later on
@TheCGEssentials nice video as always. btw, May i ask if there's a live fire simulation like this?
so amazing and thanks for the demo
Very cool tutorial

Have you tried seeing if it can simulate floating a boat on this water?
Looks amazing. I'm curious if the resulting animated water mesh could be exported into formats like gltf or fbx etc.
I'm pretty sure that's what the baking function does - haven't tested yet though
It bakes flow maps, that can make static meshes look like theres movement through the shader.
Really impressive.
It's a fun one
I have this sitting in my basket… trying to decide if to get it. Your video may have persuaded me 😂
Lol - sorry about that
Haha... no worries... I've purchased it :) looking forward to playing around with it. love the vids@@TheCGEssentials
this is really cool!
Thanks for the video. Do you know if the addon lets you change the viscosity of the fluid?
Seems like it's using the same technique as the game From Dust and Paper Beast (fantastic VR games that I HIGHLY recommend)
I've seen this kind of solution in game engines before - I really like it because it's SO lightweight. I hate waiting for frames to render :)
does it have any settings like direction of inflow or resolution or any sort of viscocity??
I wonder how the author of the addon shade the fluid, there seems to be volumetric absorption in it but that's impossible in eevee right now.
That I'm not sure. It does have some thickness incorporated in it with the displace function, but that's a geometry thing, not a material thing
can you key frame the time scale? to have the slo-mo triggered on specific time?
Very cool! Can there be objects floating in the water that move around water movement?
They don't really float, but I think that's what the effectors are for. I think you can move around and affect the water in real time
Gotcha, cool.....thank you@@TheCGEssentials
u can do it by fake it with plane use shrinkwrap mod to water then use constraint for float object to the plane. i try it and it works
That's awesome! Thanks a bunch for the response and confirming it could work with the right technique.@@nandaje
Hello Justin!!
If I want you to review an addon, where can I send you the link?
It's a physics fail, but a visual success ... I really like it.
LOL - I'm good with that :)
I baught it a week ago, its soooo good, also pls find more real time geo node fire and smoke addons, i want embergen lvl effects at real time
Keeping an eye out - honestly been meaning to give Embergen a try and haven't gotten to it yet

Can you animate the suz or cylinder objects? Maybe that is what effectors are for?
I think you might be right - I need to play with it some more, but that's what he's using to create the waves in that wave example

I have a sudden urge to recreate the elevator blood from The Shining…
i thought it sim node then i buy and check the node it was displace using flowmap, very lightweight and i love it
Same - it's SO fast :)

It is!
Ocean waves dont look very good I think? but the waterfalls are very nice? with that foams. It is very nice and pretty fast to create this!
After render intersec the scence object 8/10 frame (50 sec video)
can this be ported to 3dsmax
This is good if you are working on an animated show like Miraculous Ladybug.
Sir Cell fluiit after render problem scence object Intersec this Scence Stable water please sosetion🙏🙏
so, is this one better than Flip Fluids? 🤔
It's a Liquid 'Simulation Simulation'
Does this make Flip Fluids obsolete?
