Hands down the best camera review ever! No Bull, completely honest and objective, plus actual real life examples. And the production quality is well above all other UA-camrs
Thank you for putting together a wonderful post. Excellent lighting, sound and story, your post is the best crafted one I've seen. I'm a London street photographer and I need to crop. I bought my X-T1 and grip in February 2014, followed by seven primes and two red badge telephotos. Then I added an X100V, where my picture taking went through the roof! I need to crop, I passed on the 2, 3 and 4. After waiting nearly 10 years, my silver T5 order is in. I bought an H1, grip and three batteries during the price drop - why wouldn't you. It was a steal. You keep posting and I'll keep looking.
Picking up my X-T5 on Monday. Part exchanging my X-H2. I loved the X-H2 but coming from the X-T4 I really missed the dials. Wish I’d seen this video before I ordered the X-H2 as I am definitely photography first. Glad I found this video though as it’s reinforced my decision to swap. This video should have been Fujifilm promo video for the X-T5! Extremely well put together and has the information front and centre that prospective buyers need. Well done 👍🏻😎
Well done dude! Great sample images and presentation. Fuji is fortunate to have you as an X Photographer, and it sounds like that sentiment is shared both ways. Looking forward to more of your imagery and reviews.
This it the best explanation for getting an X-T5.. wow.. it's as if every picture has 3 more pictures in it... every one being better or greater than the previous one.. thank you for the video.. I could not have been happier to learn about the new X-T5
Literally what I’ve wanted for a long time from Fuji. I owned the XT3 a few years back and it ticked the boxes for me with camera ergot’s, controls and that sensor(and the Fuji colours SOOC). The XT4 came and gave us the IBIS but snatched away the XT3’s better tilt screen. The XT5 is the marriage of the XT3/4 and then some.
Yeah with the xh2 series ticking those boxes for people who like them, the xt5 is exactly what I lot of people wanted…kinda surprised there isn’t a xt5s though
I've only had my X-T5 for about 3 weeks, and I'm absolutely loving it. I've been shooting with the Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 and the Viltrox 13mm f/1.4, but I'm seriously impressed with what you've made with the old 56mm APD! My copy is the non-APD version, but I should try putting it on my new body and see what comes out!
Superb video! Great production values. Right blend of engaging (and waffle free) narration, background music and image selection. I bought the X-T1, skipped a model, bought the X-T3, skipped a model and this video told me all I needed to know (without meaningless pixel-peeping techno-babble) - time to buy my next X-T!!
I’ve been struggling to choose between the Xt5, the Xh2 and the new upcoming Xs20 and I must admit I think your video made me fall in love with the Xt5 haha
Wow, what a video. New sub my man. Refreshing, informative, inspiring. And by the way I had a number of X-T 1, 2, 3, 4 and x-H1 with most of fujijon lenses for pro video and photo. Then a froze because I can’t decide on the next step: x-T5 x-h2s or both or Sony
I loved your production style in this video. Great music selection and timing. I watched your 3 Astro photography videos from 2 years ago (again) and wondered, how you are doing. And I watched a dozent of X-T5 videos recently, since I really thought about upgrading from X-T4 to X-T5. You reminded me, why I switched from Nikon to Fuji in the first place and what I dislike on my X-T4. And you convinced me to really get a prime lense. Right now I have a 18-135 and a 100-400 for Landscape. And I guess, I "have to" upgrade to a X-T5 😉 So thank you for this video and I did, what I should have done a year ago, I subscribed 😉
I’ve been on the fence about changing from sony mostly because of the money already invested in lenses but I shoot film too and feel like the fuji just fits into that a lot nicer and fuji is way cheaper here in Japan without the mark up of sony’s overseas models for english menus! Great vid chur
So true story, I had bought the Nikon Z5 to hopefully make photography a paid hobby. I returned it because the lens selection are expensive. I was about to get a A6600 but read on Reddit a lot of users made the switch to Fuji and no regrets. Users who had a A7iii and a A6600. After watching a few Fuji UA-cam videos, I think I will give this company a try. Thanks for sharing this great content.
Awesome review. Love how you brought the feeling of shooting into the mix. Today everything is about getting the sharpest picture, the fastest way so that you can just keep taking more of them. Slowing down and enjoying the art of photography is so easy with Fujifilm. Photography should evoke a feeling when you see an image. It takes time to create that. For me, slowing down, has helped me see all the aspects of a photograph before I even put the camera up to my eye. Light, color, composition and mood. I loved your video.
its like you are advertising this directly to me! your talking points are exactly why i often grab one of my 120mm film cameras over my aging d5100 .. so thanks for the review
A perfect review that provided good reasons for my personal choice to upgrade to the XT5. I’m still waiting for delivery, but the expressive photos and inspiration given from this review leave me happy with the choice to upgrade. Thanks for a truly excellent review.
Amazing video production and awesome photos! Im shooting with an xt2 and an xt3 having the xt1 as a backup. I started looking at the xh2s then at the xh2 and today i bought an xt5. I will be using the xt5 together with the xt3 as my main two cameras
Disappointed that the XT-5 doesn't have the upgraded EVF that the XH-2 has. And what's going on with the extra clutter on-screen with the horizon level?
The levelling info is just a personal preference that can be reduced or removed. EVF is still great though and most seem happy that camera is cheaper than the xh2 so I guess this is one of the things that help with that.
Awesome video! Like another commenter pointed out, by far the best X-T5 video out this morning. Thank you! I'm looking forward to trying out the X-T5 in person. The shallow grip (coming from the X-S10) is probably the only thing making me hesitate. I can use my 70-300 for hours on my X-S10. Hopefully the X-T5's improved grip is better than the X-T4's, which I couldn't stand. Love the new camera!
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography There's a first party grip as well. However, I don't like how grips make the camera noticeably heavier. I'm probably going to rent the X-T5 first and take the plunge if I like it.
I really wanted the video to be longer, but once I had it all down I just didn’t feel like there was anything else worth pointing out. Thank you for the support.
Pixel Peepers rejoice! I still have and love my Xt4 and not surprisingly I'm very broke, so I won't be upgrading, but I also never had a problem with my Xt4 from some of the other complaints people hand. Also more of a hobby than a profession for me, so that might be part of it! Anywho, solid video, loved that very Bourgeoisie intro!
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography Work had me swamped for over a year. Barely had any time off. But life works in mysterious ways and I did an impromptu photo shoot with a buddy in NYC over the summer and I've been shooting ever since! Glad I'm watching? Glad you're still make'em too! :)
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography Nice good to hear it mate keep up the good work, you're definitely getting even better than a year ago! I'll be sure to be around for the next video as well so no worries.
Very nice, concise review. I share your sentiments regarding the Fuji X series handling and rendering of images after buying a X-T4 and few years ago and shooting everything with a 35mm f2 lens. The X-T4 completely reignited my love of simply getting out there and shooting with a small, lightweight camera that emulates the handling of a 35mm ...compared to my previous and somewhat clinical 'brick' of a camera from another leading brand! I just wish I'd made the change years before. While the improved sensor of the X-T5 is very appealing, the revised screen design and supposed AF improvements will be a deal breaker when funds allow.
I am a person interested in the xt5 and xh2s series. I want to ask, which one should I prioritize to learn about fuji and like to take pictures? I also used to own xt30 56 f1.2
If it’s photography focused I’d suggest the xt5 as it’s quite a bit cheaper. But if you also would like to shoot video or photos of faster moving subjects I’d suggest the xh2s. Though I would 100% out more consideration in which lenses to get as this will make a bigger difference than which camera.
This Video Made Me Fall Even MORE In Love, W/My XH1. Not In Terms Of Comparing The H1 Vs. The T5, But Just On Shear Inspiration Of This Vid'!🔥🔥🔥 Thanks So Much Tom!!!
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography Mr. Busby. Any Opinion(s) On The NEW Line Of Fujifilm 1.4's, On Older C-Mos III Sensor? Are They Worth Purchasing, As A X-H1 Owner?
If you’re doing video work and don’t already own the older model lens, I would 100% suggest the newer lens. But if your works mostly photo and you have a older 1.4 lens, I wouldn’t upgrade
Excellent. Perfect and to the point review. I am currently shooting with the XT-30 a great camera. However, in time, I just might sell it and move up to the XT-5.
Have you tried the 56mm/f1.2 WR, I’d like to know your thoughts on the new release compared to the APD. Is the APD worth the extra $500 bucks, cause I like how your photos turned out with a little kinda vignetting from the APD.
I’ve never purchased Fuji but what you say about photography has been my feelings for the past 40 years. Since I got canon DSLR 15 years ago, things are different. I so miss my control dials…until I just had a close look at the x-t5! Would that be the answer to revive my passion?! Are you in Taranaki? I think I recognise my mountain…
I am in Taranaki, and hosting a touch and try (inc with the xt5) on the evening of the 17th of this month if you’d like to come try it and maybe have a chat?
Animal tracking on the cows, bird tracking on the chickens, and single point for the rest. (Oh the cow eye photos might have been single point as well I think)
Hey currently I am shooting with my fuji xt1 but since I develop more and more a passion for club/Festivals and moody photography I need to step up my game. Someone recommended me the Sony a73 or Sony a74 but then I saw that there is the new xt5. With my xt1 there is a lot of noise, will this be better with the xt5? The camera is so old that I never see any comparisons. Thanks in advance
It’s a big step up in noise quality. But yea the a73/4 will be better iso quality, but what you’ll find is heaps of bright colours in its noise, where the fuji noise is the colour of what’s around it looking far more nature and pleasing to the eye, so while there might be a bit more of it, the look of the noise in most fuji users opinion is far more please. (Sorry it took so long to reply, I forgot to hit send when I first wrote this out)
Oh sorry I just mean as far as deep dive lab tests go. But to save you some time, Yes, the xt5 will be AMAZING for astro. How to manage to add more megapixels without dropping ISO performance nearly seems to defy physics.
The last two weeks were so hard for me. I couldn't decide which camera to get. I am new to (wedding) photography and could decide between the xt5 or the xh2... Your video made my decision today and I even might have shared a tear watching this 😂. I could identify with all you said. Now I have to finde one/two lenses
I own the 33mm and LOVE IT! I’ve been having a bit of trouble getting gear from Fujifilm NZ lately and it’s made reviewing their gear harder unfortunately…plus I’ve been working a ton
Great quick review mate, the level of details is incredible! Keen to get an idea how the new AF looks, it’s been difficult to do dog photography with XT30😢
I actually sold my X-T4 last week because I had to. My first thought was I’m getting a new camera no matter what. It’s either going to be the rumored (now officially announced) X-T5, or the X-H2 if the rumors were false. Looks like I know what I’m getting, and this time in silver.
Honestly the 10-24. I have owned it for years and it very much suits my style of shooting. I like foregrounds and leading lines plus now that it’s WR is great. 10mm is such a very unique look and 24mm stitched together for Panoramas looks awesome as well. Then add the extra IS for video and it makes it my favourite. Plus Any of its flaws can also now be overcome with Ai editing if you don’t know how to shoot around them.
I with the XH2s had at same ergonmics as the XH1. I got a new H2S for $1950 but i want to sell it and get the XT5. i wanted to get into video but i cant do the PSAM dial or the flippy screen.
Psam is really great for video, I load up C1,2,3,4 with my favourite video settings and switch between a ton, and still have PSAM options for photo shooting. I’m on the fence about which screen I like better, it’s most likely the xt5 style screen even for video, but 4K 120 of the xh2s is too good to give up
Presented by a Man totally and perpetually in love with his beloved FUJI X-T5. I've never seen a video so passionately and competently made about a camera. Totally inspiring, inviting, and motivating.
Great video by far the best production I've seen on the XT. Im currently shooting on the XT4 but can't wait to get my hands on the XT5 Im selling my XT4 today. Thank you for the no hype review. I shoot only 10% video so the XH2s is not MY best choice.
New to photography haven’t bought into any system yet but looking for something hybrid right in the middle do you think the XH2S would be good for a beginner don’t want to jump on the Sony bandwagon cause the prices are kinda steep
Ive had the XT1 since 2015 and looking to finally upgrade. I focus on stills, but want to branch out into video. my XT1 is very limited when it comes to shooting video so im debating which of these 3 would work best for me. I love the manual dials of the XT but is seems the XH series have more to offer
If you’re only just starting in video and your primary is stills. Get the xt5 me spend any difference on a lens with good video af. A lot of older lens which are great for stills have shocking video af. And the xt5 video wise still offers more than enough for every video shooter
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography Both the XT5 and XH2 are dam good. But I can't decide, I like the retro dials of the XT5 but I am not sure if the XT5 is professional grade in terms of video? The XT5 seems to have the same video specs of the XH2 apart from 8K that I am not too bothered about.
People go around saying that the XT5 is more photography focused like it wont work for videographers. wel, in its price range it is the best video camera as well. it's just better at taking photos. that doesn't make it bad at videos or brings another camera from other manufacturer that mis a better VALUE than the Fuji Xt series
I guess my main problem is I'm new enough to not know exactly what it is I like to do. I mainly do photography, but maybe I might discover a desire to do video work. Just as initially I did landscapes but now I mostly do street photography, which radically changed what lenses I was using. I'm afraid of a similar thing, one day discovering I really enjoy making videos but I didn't spend that extra $300.
In that case I think the answer is very easy, as both do all the photo or video quality you’ll practically need for years to come, get the one that feels best for its price, image quality and features aren’t worth comparing between those two as they are pretty much exactly the same for what you’ll ever do with it
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography That's a good point. Even if I do find out I enjoy making videos, will I realistically need anything more than what the XT-5 is capable of before it would be time to upgrade anyway? Thanks for that. Good insight.
I’m not sure I’d use the word, significant, it’s better which combined with far more megapixels is very impressive and if you viewed a side by side image at the same size it would like much better. But both images viewed at 100% the xt5 is better, I’m just not sure I’d say “significantly”
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography tbh I am confused which one to order, XT4 or XT5. They're almost the same price so I wanted to know if there's an area where xt4 is significantly better. Or do you think I should just go straight to xt5?
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography can you please explain to me how xt5 low light is better despite the xt4 having less megapixels? I noticed the same with xh2 and xh2s May I know how?
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography i want photography ( don't need videos ) can you suggest me some good beginner cameras Fujifilm, Olympus, Panasonic It's okay if it's one of those 3 brands
Don’t get Olympus, Pana will be cheaper than fuji but poorer quality photos. I think the fuji x-s10 is a amazing camera. Or the Pana G100, both at very different prices but bang for buck both are good.
Terrific review and beautiful images - thank you for that! I appreciate the technical aspects you covered, but even more your philosophical reasons to engage with this particular camera. As someone not particularly familiar with the Fuji system, I have a question: when you say your shots were straight out of camera, does that mean you were shooting jpeg? And if so, I hear a lot about Fuji's film simulation - were you using one (or multiple) of their film simulation modes? Keep up the good work - you've got a new subscriber!
…but you forgot to mention that the XH2 has an amazing EVF in comparison to the XT5! Fuji, why oh why did you not use the larger EVF on the XT5? This addition would have made the XT5 the BEST camera ever! Btw nice video. I’m thinking about this body/lens combo as well. Just still not sure about which body, based on that damn EVF issue! 😂
i know the xh2 is better for video but how much better I am a amateur at best and in your opinion could I still get some decent videos out fo the xt5 I mainly shoot night life cinematics and short films like that
There is hardly any difference between those two cameras when it comes to video from what you’ll notice, what whichever one you think will suit you best and I promise you’ll be more than happy with photos and videos from either.
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography Thanks! was asking around and I am starting to think an used X-T3 or mabey an used X-T4 will be more than enough camera for me
Maybe man, they are both amazing cameras, though I’d 100% suggest the xt4 over the 3 just for the battery life and batteries that’ll you’ll use in years to come if you do upgrade to a newer model
I like where Fuji are heading but really all three cameras they have released this year are not enticing enough for me to lose funds in transitioning up from the XT4. XH2S, a definite bump in processing power yet I will be left with exactly the same IQ from an image as the XT4. XH2, a definite bump in IQ, but not having that stacked sensor is a bit of a shame and losing out on a lot on the confidence side of the tech. XT5, a definite bump in IQ but even more nerfed than the XH2 and in some ways more niche (the lack of articulating screen makes it hard to be my primary 'do it all' hybrid camera. If i had the funds then I would choose an XH2S and a XT5 for back up, but my pockets are not that deep. I think I will wait for 2024 where hopefully then they can bring out an XH3 that is a stacked 40mp sensor and away we go!
I can understand all those points if your budget doesn’t suit, I think if you do a lot of video or sport the xh2s is amazing…but with its price tag. But as you’ve said, all 3 cameras don’t make the xt4 a bad camera.
Yes, but if you’re asking me if you should upgrade, I’m trying to find out if you need to? Maybe all of those features would have little benefit to you?
Well, well, well! 🤔 over the past (3) weeks, I’ve been knocking my head about switching my “Photography” camera from SONY’s A7RIV to try the Fuji!!! Agh!!!! Watched many videos (not convincing) debating between X~H2 and 2S… Your video now takes me in a totally different direction! XT5. When I started my photography days 1980 with my Pentax K1000… and now A6RIV, your video rang the bell 🛎️ I never asked myself. I love Photography more than video (for that I have the A7Siii) tough to beat. Love photography, but SONY menus suck… cumbersome digital experience, miss the simplicity if K1000 . XT5 could be the answer??? I assume there are the Fuji film simulations available. My concern… if I get (3) lenses which ones to get(?) as I’m scared of APSC (visually gauging ). I want to have fun again shooting photography. Thoughts ? I just subscribed as I think tomorrow I’ll get the XT5. BTW… how is the weather sealing? Really? Light rain, snow, fog ? Thanks for popping up on UA-cam. I started my UA-cam channel this year “My Retired Life In Japan”. So I’m trying to do more with camera moving forward and explore Japan. Just passed my driving test. Want to go bananas 🍌!

I have already seen extension 3rd party grips released for it, so even if it’s smaller than you’d like, very easy to make bigger
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography There's a first party grip as well. However, I don't like how grips make the camera noticeably heavier. I'm probably going to rent the X-T5 first and take the plunge if I like it.
Oh with ya, and yes rental is never a bad idea to start with
Definitely the best review on UA-cam for Fuji gear 👌
Hahaha thank you
Mate, great video! Love the chicken photo at 5:58
Hahahaha thanks
Well said. On target, on point. Captured the soul of the Fuji mindset and the essence of the X-T5
I really wanted the video to be longer, but once I had it all down I just didn’t feel like there was anything else worth pointing out.
Thank you for the support.
love this vide btw thank you for such a great video bro! this helped so much
Loved the video mate
Well done 👏👏👏
Thank you!
Awesome to see your still watching my videos, and great to hear from you!
Making content is my full time job now, unfortunately mostly for other people, but I’ve been swamp as well and incredibly happy.
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography Nice good to hear it mate keep up the good work, you're definitely getting even better than a year ago! I'll be sure to be around for the next video as well so no worries.
And all these photos with the older 56 1.2? I own that lens: not necessary to upgrade to the new one?
I would 100% get the new one
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography Is there a large improvement?
Mostly in AF and reduction in lens laws like CA
What non medium format Fujifilm is sharpest for professional work and low light ?
Are you asking about a lens?
Thank you! And I hope you love it
Great video and image review. I have the XH-1 now and with the XH-2 losing the dials and Fuji lost me. I'll be looking at the XT-5 for my replacement.
Yeah I am very happy they have both options now. And thank you for the support.
Beautiful review! What is the name of this music in the back?
Oh I wouldn’t have a clue of the name of the track now sorry, it is from UA-cam’s audio library

@@ThomasBusbyPhotography Thanks! As A Hobbyist Trying To Build A Quality 2 Lens Kit. Again Thank You & Of Course Continue To Inspire Us!🤝🏿👍🏿
What two lenses are you thinking of? I LOVE simple kits.
Excellent. Perfect and to the point review. I am currently shooting with the XT-30 a great camera. However, in time, I just might sell it and move up to the XT-5.
Thank you!
Have you tried the 56mm/f1.2 WR, I’d like to know your thoughts on the new release compared to the APD.
Is the APD worth the extra $500 bucks, cause I like how your photos turned out with a little kinda vignetting from the APD.
I haven’t had a good test with the new 56 unfortunately, but it would be my choice over the apd with how many MP fuji are adding to their cameras
Amazing video man!! Thank you !!
Thank you!
Great video, Nice job
Thank you
Monster video! Incredibly well done! SUBBED!
Haha thank you!
Very nice review! Love that you were shooting with the APD too, it’s the one I have. Seems like it holds up pretty well with the higher res sensor.
Yeah it’s a great combo with the xt5, both very made for photographers
That was my question as well!
I have the same combo! This is the 1!! No better combo!
What is the poem at the beginning of this video?
I think I just Pinterest searched “creation” and saw it as a poem.
Unsure who the author is sorry but it’s 100% not mine
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography It reminds me of a Rudyard Kipling work. Great job with the video of course; and this poem nailed the feel.
Thank you!
Truly gorgeous photos! Do you think the XT5 colors and detail beat the XH2s?
Great review, beautifully made.
Thank you
I’ve never purchased Fuji but what you say about photography has been my feelings for the past 40 years.
For the images in this video, are you using center point for focus or a variable zone?
(Sorry it took so long to reply, I forgot to hit send when I first wrote this out)
What about astrophoto prospects with x-t5 vs previous x cameras?
Rumour has it you can photograph sun spots
It’s the exact same sensor as the xh2 which has great ISO performance
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography Unfortunately I have never seen x-h2 test for astrophoto..
Oh sorry I just mean as far as deep dive lab tests go.
But to save you some time, Yes, the xt5 will be AMAZING for astro.
How to manage to add more megapixels without dropping ISO performance nearly seems to defy physics.
Best video I’ve watched on this new
Masterpiece of a camera 🎉
Thank you!
Thank you!
I do a lot of wedding photography, I’d suggest the 50-140mm and either the new 18/23/33mm WR prime lens depending on your tastes
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography do you have any of the new primes? I'd love to see a follow up to your 23mm comparison with the new model added :)
AF is very dependent on lens (the newer the better) the camera is great but older lenses still aren’t perfect with af
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography I use 50-140, one of the old ones… thanks for the advice
The 50-140 as a red badge is a bit of a exception, I’d guess I get 6/10 high speed shots with it
I actually sold my X-T4 last week because I had to. My first thought was I’m getting a new camera no matter what. It’s either going to be the rumored (now officially announced) X-T5, or the X-H2 if the rumors were false. Looks like I know what I’m getting, and this time in silver.
Yeah I really like the silver, specially as the H series doesn’t have it as a option
This is best, best review on youtube. Thx!
Thank you
if u where to pick one lens for hiking, which would u choose? Both video and still photography. Love ur channel!
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography then the 10-24 it is - Thanks!
xt 5 பற்றி இதைவிட அழகாய் யாரும் சொல்ல முடியாது . great review ...
What a cool vid - great work. I think it’s upgrade time!
Thank you
I with the XH2s had at same ergonmics as the XH1.
🙏 thank you!!
All I need to know is the file size of lossless compressed. It can't be that low on 40mp?
Great video by far the best production I've seen on the XT. Im currently shooting on the XT4 but can't wait to get my hands on the XT5 Im selling my XT4 today. Thank you for the no hype review. I shoot only 10% video so the XH2s is not MY best choice.
Thank you for taking the time to comment, and I’m sure you’ll love the X-T5.
New to photography haven’t bought into any system yet but looking for something hybrid right in the middle do you think the XH2S would be good for a beginner don’t want to jump on the Sony bandwagon cause the prices are kinda steep
The xh2s is outstanding, you could even look at the newer xs20 and spend more on some good lenses as another option
you would recommend the XT5 or XH2 for sports photography?
I’d recommend the xh2s if that’s a option
it looks like I don't have enough funds for XH2s. if only between XT5 and XH2 how? I previously used the XT-2
If you’ve used the xt2 and liked it I’d 100% suggest staying with the xt series
There is a cropping in FHD 60fps video on xt5 & x-h2
Oh really, that’s one I didn’t know.
Where 4K 60p on the xh2s has no cropping.
Fantastic video - thanks for sharing
Thank you!
I can’t believe I bought a XH2 last week and then this drops 😮. It’s a fantastic camera but I prefer the dials on the XT5
That’s unfortunate, for photography (not video) I definitely prefer the xt5 dials as well.
Xh2 is still an amazing camera though with a few advantages
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography Both the XT5 and XH2 are dam good. But I can't decide, I like the retro dials of the XT5 but I am not sure if the XT5 is professional grade in terms of video? The XT5 seems to have the same video specs of the XH2 apart from 8K that I am not too bothered about.
I work for a video production company during the day and have still yet to ever need 8k for our work.
Nice approach. I wish more reviewers would do SOOC reviews.
Thank you
People go around saying that the XT5 is more photography focused like it wont work for
videographers. wel, in its price range it is the best video camera as well. it's just better at taking photos. that doesn't make it bad at videos or brings another camera from other manufacturer that mis a better VALUE than the Fuji Xt series
I 100% agree
the reflection in the lovely dogs eye!!!! (4:04)
All the best
Masterfully produced. Bravo!
Thank you!
I’d like to see you test the 56 APD vs the 56 WR.
I’ve been trying to get all the 50/56mm for a while but to get all of them at once is tricky, but it’s in the pipeline.
Is the low light performance significantly different between xt4 and xt5?
I’m not sure I’d use the word, significant, it’s better which combined with far more megapixels is very impressive and if you viewed a side by side image at the same size it would like much better.
But both images viewed at 100% the xt5 is better, I’m just not sure I’d say “significantly”
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography tbh I am confused which one to order, XT4 or XT5. They're almost the same price so I wanted to know if there's an area where xt4 is significantly better. Or do you think I should just go straight to xt5?
The xt4 should drop in price as I think the xt5 is better in every way
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography max 300$ difference I don't think it's worth it.
I think I'm getting xt5
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography can you please explain to me how xt5 low light is better despite the xt4 having less megapixels? I noticed the same with xh2 and xh2s
May I know how?

what's best value Fujifilm for the money ?
Depends on what you want to do and if you want to consider the second hard market
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography i want photography ( don't need videos )
can you suggest me some good beginner cameras Fujifilm, Olympus, Panasonic
It's okay if it's one of those 3 brands
Don’t get Olympus, Pana will be cheaper than fuji but poorer quality photos.
I think the fuji x-s10 is a amazing camera.
Or the Pana G100, both at very different prices but bang for buck both are good.
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography i saw reviews on the Fuji xs10 and people seems to love it I'll check the Pana you suggest
Fujifilm made me want the X-T5 and the XH2S. That would be a complete 2 camera system for everything you need to do.
Yes all jpeg with a combination of a few different film simulations to get the look / colour / feel I like.
Thank you
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography Which film sim did you use for the cocktail pics and did you modify the IQ settings at all or were they default?
I believe it was classic chrome with -1 highlights and shadows, daylight WB.
No changes to IQ
…but you forgot to mention that the XH2 has an amazing EVF in comparison to the XT5! Fuji, why oh why did you not use the larger EVF on the XT5? This addition would have made the XT5 the BEST camera ever! Btw nice video. I’m thinking about this body/lens combo as well. Just still not sure about which body, based on that damn EVF issue! 😂
EVF issue?? I had no issues at all with the xt5 EVF, if by issue you mean that it’s smaller.
It’s still a fantastic EVF
i know the xh2 is better for video but how much better I am a amateur at best and in your opinion could I still get some decent videos out fo the xt5 I mainly shoot night life cinematics and short films like that
There is hardly any difference between those two cameras when it comes to video from what you’ll notice, what whichever one you think will suit you best and I promise you’ll be more than happy with photos and videos from either.
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography watched your other reviews I think I am going to say fuck it and just pull the trigger on the xt5
Don’t got about lenses though man, they make a MASSIVE difference to speed and quality
But as you’ve said, all 3 cameras don’t make the xt4 a bad camera.
so, should i upgrade from XT2?))
I’m not sure, is the xt2 letting you down in any way?
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography well, xt5 has faster af, more pixels, bluetouth, image stabilization and more))
Yes, but if you’re asking me if you should upgrade, I’m trying to find out if you need to?
Maybe all of those features would have little benefit to you?
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography i think i really need them, thanks for interesting video.
You should upgrade from your xt2 :)

I love Photography more than video (for that I have the A7Siii) tough to beat. Love photography, but SONY menus suck… cumbersome digital experience, miss the simplicity if K1000 .
