Thanks for this video. I do almost exclusively photography and was excited about the XT5 until I found out that it is the first XT camera not to offer a vertical grip (battery grip). The extra battery is nice but I have used the grips more for the vertical trigger shooting portraits and I like the switch to go from normal to boost mode. I got lucky with a recent sale and was able to pick up the XH2 with a free Fuji battery grip for only $150 more than the XT5. I also have large hands and so I actually spent the same amount of money as getting the XT5 with its Fuji grip, which, of course doesn’t give you extra power or a vertical trigger. Plus I also use the viewfinder much more than the back of the camera and the extra resolution is also wonderful.
I agree 100% with your analysis. I’m strictly a stills photographer. I’ve owned the X-T3 since it’s launch and never once shot video. I was looking to upgrade to something with IBIS, as I do mostly hand-held and contemplated the X-T4 (didn’t like the flip out screen), X-H2S (didn’t like the form factor), and X-T5. For my uses, the X-T5 is perfect! I’ve had it for a few weeks now and couldn’t be happier!
I am strictly a videographer - and also prefer the X-T5. I hate it when everyones assumes videographers want to video themeslves and need the flippy screen - I hate videoing myself!! The X-T5 screen is a welcome change for street videography :) I wish Fuji had not promoted this camera as only for photographers, as there will be many people like me, and they are missing a significant number of people who buy into this system as they are telling people who like taking video the X-T5 is not for them - that is totally incorrect.
I also came from xt3 and xt5 is the best model of the line. A bit bigger grip, better battery, hi res lcd screen, better sub dials and ibis. I just wish is was priced better say at $1499 but I did still buy it. A battery charger should have been included and fuji really needs to overhaul their unboxing experience with all there top tier cameras.
X-T20, X-T3 now the X-T5. The grip and the flippy screen of the X-H2 were a big turn off for me. Video is a mute consideration for me also. Maybe a faster SD card is on the horizon or whether the buffer could handle one, who knows. I guess I need to shot the socks off it ASAP, to compare if the eye auto focus, higher MP and dynamic range was worth the upgrade or not.........I'm sure it will be. Hey-ho if it's not.......! As always you present a decent and informative video, thanks.
Little correction you say the XT5 has a digital teleconverter of 1.4 or 2 times, this is also on the XH2, one other thing you missed is the pixel shift mode that is on the XH2 which produces 160mp images with the help of separate Fuji software on a pc I have the XH2 and love the feel of it, I still also have my XT3 which I still use and love, both the XH2 and XT5 are fantastic camera bodies especially when coupled with the RED Badge lenses and the newer lenses like the 70-300mm
I am glad the X-T5 has the three-axis screen and not the flip-out screen. I don’t want to be looking off to the side while taking a picture at a low angle.
Great video!! I currently have the X-T4 and I am trying to decide between the X-T5 and the X-H2. I have some manual focus lenses I like to use (M Mount), and the X-T4 is not as easy to focus as something like the SL2-S. Is it much easier to manual focus with the X-H2 over the X-T5 due to the higher res EVF? If so, I might lean towards the X-H2.
I constantly still don't get it. Not all people taking video want to look at themselves - some just want to take videos of what is surrounding them. So the X-T5 is great for me (I hate videoing myself :) ). So please stop assuming just because a camera does not have a flippy screen it is only a camera for photographers. Even for videographers it is better to have a screen inline with the lens. Also if you want to take video and not be so obvious, the tilt screen allows you be way more unobtrive with out a screen making your whole camera setup about 1.5 as wide as with a flippy screen if you want a more subtle street style video setup. I just love the X-T5. Also one advantage you did not mention one massive advantage of the X-T5 over the X-H2 is there are inidvidually 7 custome modes each for video and photography. That makes 14 in total. Usability oftern gets missed over performance. I love the X-T5 for video and some photography. Please don't pigeon hole all videographers as people who all want to video themselves :D
I will be new to photography and videography when I get the XT 5. I can say for certain that the one thing I don't want to shoot is myself. I would have loved the x h2s sensor in an XT body, but I think the XT 5 will do me just fine
@@Tom-ju7pxthe quality…of the.. build?😂 jokes aside tho, it is true indeed. The dials on xt5 are more entry points for dust & water to seep and many people have known to have problems especially in wet weather with these - sometimes not working or switching to wrong values. Its also lighter and material quality on the body is slightly lesser than xh2(s) but not TOO far off from each other
@@Hansmusiclofi more entry points isnt build quality, it simply more entry points (possibly, not definitly, they are sealed too). Its a design decision. The T5 is still made from magensium. You both fail to even define build quality and just blabber, because its the internet and pretending to know shit is the latest thing. Having said that, the T5s issue is not the build, in any way. Having years of experience with a T2 I can clearly say its the AF (-C), which still feels way to unreliable. The T5 feels like a T2 with a gucci belt.
They have the same sensor. If you're just using it for photography, just stick to the XT-5. And if you're primarily shooting low light, consider something full frame?
The X-H2S should also have noticeably better AF tracking performance, due to faster readout of the stacked sensor. Think the difference between the Sony A7IV and the A1.
Hello , please reply my comment . I would like to buy a new camera . Im a makeup artist . I need to shoot reels makeup video transition and take photo of my client and details of makeup . Which one i need to buy i still so confuse actually (xt5 x xh2 x or xt4)

For me, the X-T5 is the photographer's camera, the X-H2 is for hybrid shooters and the X-H2S is for videographers.
I agree 100% with your analysis.

Try using the X-H2’s side hinged flippy, flappy, take forever screen in a faced paced environment…it will drive you bananas.
Hey there!
Thanks for the personal review on the pro vs. cons for the XH2 and XT5. Helped me decide!
💪
I am glad the X-T5 has the three-axis screen and not the flip-out screen. I don’t want to be looking off to the side while taking a picture at a low angle.
6:23. Absolutely WRONG. Filmmakers DO NOT want the side hinged flip screen. Only Vloggers want it. Please stop it!!
Flip screen is great for the ability to close it towards the camera for protection in harsher environments.

Fml turns out that the best thing to do is buy both and rip out the insides of the xh2 and put them in the xt5 body

Absolutely true, every word. I despise that damn side hinged flippy flappy take forever screen.
@@chloescanlon1107 haha - yes. I forgot to mention the "take forever" aspect of it. And "flippy flappy" 😂

XH2's build quality is much better than XT5
Bullshit. Define „build quality“ .

Do the xt5 and xh2 have improved menu systems over previous fugi models?
Great Review
If doing nighttime street photography[low-light situation], which is your personal choice between the two?

Focusing system is not same in these 3 cameras
Bcs sh2 s is having much better focus system
informative 10mins.
Nice picture with high contrast.
Great job.

the latest iPhone...and good light of course
Любой фотоаппарат пойдет
The fan is purchased separately
The X-T5 cannot be fitted with a battery grip.
I want the 40MP XH2 with 4k120 video!! God damn you Fuji!! 🤣 Any reason why they couldn't put 4k120 in that camera?
Hi bro. Your room is too dark.
