    You hit the nail right on the head. You experience a reality you feel is true, then you need to reintegrate by living the concepts again and figuring out how that will fit into your new world view. In a crazy way, I'm so blessed to have gone through my psychosis. It's brought me a lot of true wisdom. Not the fluffy, fake, egoistic wisdom.

      Thanks for sharing. I am also grateful for my experiences and feel like it has brought me some wisdom I would not have had otherwise. The fluffy stuff becomes more clear I think after having gone through something like psychosis. Or that's how I feel at least.

    Thanks for the video. It is still hard for me to not feel like everyone is trying to trick me or feeling like people are watching me. I know when I was experiencing psychosis I was extremely paranoid but it makes it easier to keep reminding myself that was never really happening. Trying hard to stay in the real world.

    The whole thing is groundless in that we can't prove anything is true even if we get feedback telling us it is.

    You brought up playing a trumpet to awaken the world. I remember having a similar delusion of playing my ocarina to stop the moon from falling. Fascinating that we both used a musical instrument in a psychotic state to act on a delusion.

    This past Friday marked 4 years since my first episode. When I think about reintegration I think about how I wasn't allowed to take my time to fully recover. I was at university and right after the first episode I went back to my studies. Same thing with the second episode where I was working and they gave me only 15 days off. In a certain way, it speeded up this process, and by engaging in such activities where I was constantly dealing with people around me, it contributed for me to feel grounded again. In other way, not taking time to proper address my feelings about it made me feel uncertain of some situations where I thought I was being played by when my perception of reality was dubious. Today, after psychoanalysis and being in peace with taking my meds, I feel like I can have a critical view of the time I was experiencing the positive symptoms of psychosis. I still feel a bit of the stigma of living with a mental illness though, not being able to engage in love relationships and having a hard time envisioning a future career. Thank you for this platform.

      Thank you for sharing. I'm sorry to hear you were not given adequate time after your experiences to readjust to reality. I am glad you are getting the care you need now though I hope that helps to you make sense of your experiences a little better. As far as relationships and careers go there is hope. I am currently in a relationship and its going great. Just because you have had psychosis doesn't mean you can't have relationships anymore and I don't have a career, but I have spoken with older adults who have psychosis and they were able to live a normal life and pursue a career. Just wanted to let you know that those are not off the table. :) Wishing you the best! Thanks again for sharing and it means a lot when I know I'm making a difference.

    Thank you soooo much Hayden! Your videos have been so enlightening and valuable! My 32 year old son with schizoaffective disorder is coming out if psychosis and I play your videos so he can hear them. At this time he does not want to get anymore professional help but it's okay for us at this time. Your information helps my husband and I in understanding what my son is experiencing and helps guide our care and interactions with him. I believe he is in stage 2 of psychosis recovery. He barely speaks to us so I've been having a difficult time knowing what he's experiencing and I don't want to make to many assumptions. Your information is very caring and insightful! He does move closer to the Bluetooth speaker when I play them.😀

It means a lot to me when I hear how my videos and experience have had an impact on other people, so thank you for sharing that. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions! Wishing you all the best and thank you for being proactive in his recovery as well, that is always nice to see!

    Same here... I thought i was the only one. The delusion lonerism has been eating at my soul. Also my psychosis and panic attacks was drug induced. I thought that my guitar playing will make the whole apartment complex raise its frequency.

    Thank you for your videos! Someone I love more than anything else is going through the first psychotic episode which has now lasted for 6 weeks with 2 recoveries and cannabis-induced relapses and hospitalisations in between. Please, can you talk about what sort of things could be helpful from the point of view of someone who cares about the person going through an early stages of recovery?

      @@justbeinghayden9451 Thank you! I do wonder if you think that Risperidone and therapy are helpful at all? What other things could be helpful; there were some articles about alternative treatments, including religion ( both Christianity and Buddhism in what I found)...Some suggest that taking a gap year on a farm worked magic ...Can you perhaps talk about what helped you to start your recovery? I am having some doubts about residential treatment although that is probably the safest place for someone who has just had a psychotic episode. Thanks so much again! Watching your videos is giving me hope!

    "Come to your senses." I think psychosis happens when we identify and give too much attention to our thoughts.

    how do you know some of your experience from your psychosis are pure and true? because in my experience, it's sort of mix between genuine spiritual experience and delusion. Now I'm confused.

    • @justbeinghayden9451
      @justbeinghayden9451  3 роки тому

      That is something you have figure out for yourself. Every life experience is a spiritual experience in my opinion. There are clearly delusions during psychosis, but there were some experiences that had value and meaning to me. You have to decide what you want to keep and move forward with and what you leave behind.
