That Lakitu test area somewhat reminds me of a Lakithunder boss fight. I wonder if the DS bosses would have originally returned in place of the Boom Booms, but were scrapped early into development.

They were ported from NSMBWii, and they were used, but some settings within their memory that changed them (nybbles) were also ported and left unused (Ex: moving cannons, frozen munchers, icey snake blocks) C. They were ported from NSMBWii, but their 3D models were not, so the game will crash upon a load attempt (Ex: giant koopa shells, rolling hills with pipes inside, rotating mushroom blocks, one-block-large glow blocks, propeller blocks) It's actually possible to bring back some of those deadly objects if you can successfully transfer the 3D models from the Wii game to this one. There are many things left to discover by altering the memory of some of the sprites that you add. Miyamoto actually does a decent job at labeling these. Some other stuff I found: There is an unused toggle in bullet bill launchers that transforms them into a singe bullet. There is an unused, large fire bar. There are unused lava particles and also unused star launchers.

Ceave i'm pretty sure those doors are broken in miyamoto. they seem to float a bit above the ground. the peaches castle door and all the other doors work perfectly fine though!
