    I really like the Art-Deco/Gothic angle you took. The Batman was born into the era of The Great Depression and you nailed it.

    This video is sincerely under appreciated. Not nearly enough likes or comments. Unbelievable work. Why the algorithm waited a year to suggest this video I’ll never know.

      After designing them in photoshop they are professionally printed onto “overhead transparencies” cut and fitted after

    Do you have a video on more details on how you made the bat computer? Just wanted to know how the lights works to make it.

    • @OilersWorkshop
      @OilersWorkshop  Рік тому

      I used rolled out strip LEDs facing inwards, I made little light boxes covered in aluminum tape to reflect the light around. If you watch my “how to make miniature lighting” video I go over the basics necessary to to what I did

    Where do you buy your Styrene sheets and how thick?

    • @OilersWorkshop
      @OilersWorkshop  2 роки тому

      I buy them from a local plastics supplier, .030

  • @FigureNerd108

    So do you concern yourself with fumes? Like from heated plastics and paints? Also, these foams and paints are flammable. When using electricity for lighting do you worry about ignition?

    • @OilersWorkshop
      @OilersWorkshop  11 місяців тому

      So regarding the fumes I have a very open workspace and I have small fans blowing away from me. If I am doing a LOT of heat work at once or prolonged heat work I wear a respirator.
      The foam I primarily use (EPS/XPS foam) is literally designed to be HOME insulation that will have house wiring running right along side it. So as long as your electrical systems are LOW voltage LEDs and don’t pull high wattages/current or amperage than you’ll never have that issue.
      I plan on doing a follow up electrical video to cover this in more detail down the road, thanks for asking
      If you keep the wattage extremely low

    What did you use to cut the center out of the PVC sheet for the platform on the bat computer?

    • @OilersWorkshop
      @OilersWorkshop  Рік тому +1

      Metal ruler and extendable box cutter, just many careful cuts digging deeper each time with a sharp blade, BE CAREFUL

      @@OilersWorkshop I just got some sheets of the material. I thought they’d be softer. Did you use styrene for the beams? Because I got some and their soft . Wondering since the long beams you made. Anyways thanks

    • @OilersWorkshop
      @OilersWorkshop  Рік тому +1

      @@glenntejano7881 I use a soft one, my plastic supplier just calls it expanded foam board and then they say it’s a type of PVC, so that’s what I ask for eventual in order it and then give me that, soft expanded foam board PVC sheet
