What incredible work. What is it about being human that makes it so cool to see real life created in scale like this? If there's one thing good about the Internet, it's that it brings to a wider audience the work of great artists such as yourself. So inspiring.
Just want to say your work is incredible and your videos have taught and inspired me to build my first dio. I’ve been working on it for 5 straight days and I’ve had a lot of fun doing it... I would not have attempted it with out your existence 👊
I´m new to this diorama bussines. I just put toguether little plastic plane with my father (He is 80, so I did most of the job). I came to youtube to see how I did... I don´t know if your work make feel that I need to improve (a lot), or if I need to burn my pathetic little model plane, and croll in my tears... Great work.
alejandro esteban diaz conias thank you for the kind words my friend. I’m sure you can create something great if you put in the extra time in a project like this.
Something, I don't know what, made me do a search for 'diorama,' and this is the first thing I clicked on. I don't know your name, but let me say...this. Is. Incredible!! I don't know why or for what you built this for -- is diorama making itself your hobby? If so, I had no idea this is a thing out there. Your construction, detail, paint work -- this is just so outstanding! Without the room light, with maybe natural white 5mm white led's for the lamps, then say, 10mm diffused blue LEDs for the look of night time casting their glow over this who,e scene -- this seems like a movie-ready miniature set. You should be very proud of yourself! May I ask, how old you are?
Thanks Sarah. Appreciate the kind words. Creating miniature dioramas is indeed a hobby of mine and I use them as a background when I create scenes for Toy Photography and Video purposes. As well as pieces to display my action figure collections.
This is great..... I love watching your diorama videos. I started watching to get ideas and techniques for 1/6 scale project for my dolls. Now you have sparked my interest in action figures, something for the boys. Please keep the tutorials coming. Do you have a video on how to do the wood finish technique?
Great amazing work! a like the detail everything im thinking of buying a soldering iron and putting different kinds of flashing lights in my dio lights , but i know nothing of electricity. lol
Hey I think all the stuff you do is amazing I am trying to get into dioramas and I was wondering what are the basic things you need to start making some?
Winter thanks! As for getting into dioramas interms of tools. You need to have Atleast a pair of good cutting Blades like an exacto knife. A metal ruler, clear plastic ruler with Marked measurement. A self healing cutting mat with grid markings is also helpful. And in addition you need to have a lot of patience.
I actually made a busted 1/6 scale street pole/street lamp a while back using some materials that I repurpose and recycle. You can check the video below. ua-cam.com/video/fwtz0VXt4vo/v-deo.html
Domingos Filho dimensions are about 30” W x 20” D x 24” H. The lights are actually from a miniature desk lamp and each one run via batteries independently.
Chris B you can actually use pretty much any of the available spray paints that you can buy off Home Depot and craft stores. However one thing to remember is to spray at a distance of 18”-24” from the foam. The liquid propellant can really damage the foam when it gets concentrated into an area of the foam. So you need to keep moving from side to side or up and down while spraying to get an even coating.
mart1873 the foam I used the majority of the time is the Pink Insulation Foam. You can check my video ua-cam.com/video/RctXQLBYvqY/v-deo.html For more info
Those T elbows are part of a Build a Straw kit that I got from the Dollar store a while back. I actually talked about this Build A Straw kit in my pipe tutorial video below: ua-cam.com/video/UT5ap8HWJpM/v-deo.html
Really a great job! those final closing shots at the end of the video look incredible. I am starting to practice diorama building atfter watching your videos, thanks man Also what do you use for creating those 3 way pipe junctions?
Thank you bro. Those "T-connection" in the pipes came from the Build A Straw kit that you can buy at the dollar store. You can check my pipe tutorial vid where I showed and talked about it.
The piping connectors that I used here is from a DIY straw kit that I bought from the Dollar Store. You can also check out my video #038 where I went over piping materials that you can use for diorama projects.
Awesome! I love it so much! Hey btw, just wanna know where Did you find this light ? I find it cool and as I am making a dio by myself it would be cool for me to getting this! So please, if you remember, just let me know! 😊
The lights are from the Dollar Store. Its actually a mini desk lamp toy. I went over this on one of my video below if you'd like to know more about it. ua-cam.com/video/GsVdGAnxGKA/v-deo.html
GodzOfHeavenzz Xbox Player the balcony/fire scape are made from scratch using a combination of balsa wood, coffee stirers, and metal wire mesh for the balcony floor.
did you post this on any of the dio facebook groups? it looks familiar. also, i'm glad i stumbled upon your channel. i've been doing dios for like 8 months and had never come across this channel when looking for tips.
Thanks +jason Juarez (deadpayphone) I'm a member of Diostructure and ACBA as well as other groups in Facebook so you are bound to see some of my work if you're a member of those groups as well. Plus I also post my work in instagram so you might have seen it there. Hope my vids can be of help in your diorama projects.

Albert D The door I used in this Dio is a pre-made one. You can purchase them in most hobby stores. I buy most of mine via Amazon. Here’s some links of the 1:12 doors you can check out. Diorama 1:12 Doors amzn.to/2HC42f2 amzn.to/2ExiIdv amzn.to/2HC0OIt
Ken Jacobs Jr I use different materials for my pipes but the one I used a lot is the build-a-straw kit. You can check video 038 pipe tutorial for more information
I haven't really done any dio work at that scale but you can probably use balsa wood or coffee stirrer sticks and then some tootpicks for the ladder steps.
Christopher Hawkins yes I am. My IG and FB page is under the same name as Mechbay. You can click on the the IG and/or FB logo on the upper right corner in front of my UA-cam channel to link you to them. Thanks

I love it...... but the electrical pipes are killing me, ( I'm in the electrical field lol) they look more like Plumbing pipes because of the connectors try using junction boxes or straight 90° angles. Still a excellent job

Thank you for the kind words John. This is what makes creating dioramas for me very satisfying, when I bring joys to others seeing my work.
I think with some people it triggers that creative imagination we had when we were kids.
I love urban alleys, this is amazing I hope I can do one my self just to look at it everyday :D
Great job man and you can never go wrong with paperclips
Thanks bro +TheTactical Nerdist You are right about paperclips. So many uses in dios.

Great amazing work! a like the detail everything im thinking of buying a soldering iron and putting different kinds of flashing lights in my dio
lights , but i know nothing of electricity. lol
Thanks +kairus1 Actually you can get pre-wired led lights so you don't have to sodder. All you have to do is some wire splicing
Wow. That's fucking sick.
OUT-FREAKN-STANDING!!!!!
+Emanuel Paige Jr. Thanks bro
Great!

Brilliant mate! Could you tell me what you used for the pipes and connectors on there? Found it on video 38 thank you!

Really dope work, whats the size of the bricks? They look smaller than what most ppl make. 🤙✌️
Nova Kane thank you. The dimensions of the bricks are 1/4” x 1”
Wicked stuff! Any advice for making a 1/6 scale street lamp about 50cm high? Prepping for a Hot Toys Daredevil figure I'm getting.
I actually made a busted 1/6 scale street pole/street lamp a while back using some materials that I repurpose and recycle. You can check the video below.
ua-cam.com/video/fwtz0VXt4vo/v-deo.html
Where do you find those thin sheets of foam? damn I cant even cut a big one lol.
Awesome! How do you install lights?
Great work!! What did you use to make the ladders?
Very nice, subbed😄👍
My friend, it is Incredible!!! Congrates... I will try to do it, can you inform te dimentions and how can I do these lights?
Domingos Filho dimensions are about 30” W x 20” D x 24” H. The lights are actually from a miniature desk lamp and each one run via batteries independently.
Do you have a tutorial on how to make the fire escape and materials that you used?
Awesome job. Shit looks real. 👍🏻
Thanks man +Anjono8969
What type of spray paint is recommended for that foamboard?
Chris B you can actually use pretty much any of the available spray paints that you can buy off Home Depot and craft stores. However one thing to remember is to spray at a distance of 18”-24” from the foam. The liquid propellant can really damage the foam when it gets concentrated into an area of the foam. wire on the pipe is by far the best way I've found. I hate zip ties
Where do you get the lights above the door?
Wish I had this dio
I see your using pink foam, but my question to you is what material is the white stuff on top of the pink foam
Clarky HD they are called craft foam.
Thank you for getting back to me
How do you make the graffiti on the walls? great dio, as usual.
thanks Jason. The graffiti in this particular dio are hand panted directly into them.
@@MechbayStudios do you have an easier technique for making graffiti? I Don't have the artistic talent to make hand painted graffiti. Thanks
jason nosys the other option that you can do is to print out some graffiti art on and glue it.
Hey man unreal work. Could you tell me what sort of foam you use for everything? I don't know what to order
mart1873 the foam I used the majority of the time is the Pink Insulation Foam. You can check my video
