      I have one and the biggest problem is the lack of some spare parts jeje

    Tony you scored. Tell your wife Doug said ,You did good. When she says, Who is Doug? You can say a guy like a lot of other guys who wished they could have found a 928 in this nice of shape. Still working on a 84 I bought 4 years ago that was saved from the bone yard. Congrats on your new investment.

    Hi Tony, all my best from Germany. I bought an 928 S3 from 86 last year in December. Like your car it wasn’t running since 16 years.
    After changing the petrol it was starting without problems. But of course it needs some work, a new timing belt, the brake master cylinder is not working. But at least it is in very good conditions. Best Christian

      Christian, I absolutely love the car! I haven’t downloaded in a bit because it was getting the TB & WP done. They had it a week and were too busy to get to it. I think I may do it myself if they cannot get it in. I am down to the radio only working about 40% of the time and getting the A/C to cool properly and she is 100%. I hope yours goes as well as mine has. I hope to do a video drive over the weekend if the weather holds out. Best of luck with yours!

    Great video, I’d suggest checking the condition of the timing belt as a high priority before running it for any length of time.

      Thanks Gary. I am pulling the drivers side cover tonight. I also checked a Porsche mechanic, Reid Van, and Scott has space to get me in as soon as I have it ready to drive. The front end service is high on my list! THANK YOU FOR POINTING IT OUT, I APPRECIATE IT!

      Don’t rev it till u change the belt
      The belt can take a set from sitting so long
      Big rev = jump a tooth = broken engine

      @@tonybosworth5382That's amazing, can't wait to hear her! Mine was standing for about as long as yours but she was outside for all that time, in the elements, eating her up... sad. Yours is in great condition, a real gem!

    Gonna pick one up soon myself .. did you have to put any wood board on the ramps so the front spoiler doesn’t rub on the ramps of the auto transport??

    I was hoping you would show how you drained the fuel. I might dive into an adventure like this myself, with no experience however. What route did you take to drain it? Is there just a plug at the bottom or did you syphon it out somewhere?

      I have an electric pump with 5ft of hose on one end and 3ft on the other. It’s 3/8’s inch I believe. I just stuck it in there a s sucked out about 2 gallons.

      Found it on Craigslist before everyone went to FB marketplace. It happened to be 2 miles from my house and I went to high school with the kids of the original owner. Pretty cool once we got together.

    how much did you pay for it and how much is the over all when its driveable

    • @tonybosworth5382
      @tonybosworth5382  3 роки тому

      Including paying to have the timing belt and water pump and all the motor front done by a certified Porsche guy, as well all the work done in the videos it was less than $9K.

    check the dates on those tires, printed on the sidewalls. Regardless of the mileage, tires older than 10 years are not safe to drive on at highway speeds.

    • @tonybosworth5382
      @tonybosworth5382  2 роки тому

      Thanks George, the tires were changed after I got the car fully functioning properly. Thanks for the comments. Hope you like the video and following some of the other stuff we are doing.

      @@tonybosworth5382 I love what you did with the car. Did you show it to the previous owners? What a sweet ride. I hope you make a good profit on the sale. Whoever gets that car will not be wasting their money at all. Great work!!
