I used to have a 2011 Mercury Milan in silver grey. I even had a loaner car which was a 2006 Mercury Milan in blue. I remembered how little difference between both cars.
I did mines a few weeks ago but my screw hole didnt like up easily like yours, I had to push mines down a little. Mines also has issues in PARK, where it's felt locked in but when I try to turn off the car it doesnt let me, I have to re-shift to from park and back. Also it feels loose too, you can rock the shifter a little, I do have the other "style" with the smaller metal/plastic cover so it doesnt fully go into that other piece you replaced. I really liked it but might need to go back to the old one.
I have a 2008 ford fusion s 5 speed manual and I’m wanting to change the shift knob and where could I take it to get it changed because it doesn’t want to work with me.

When I finally gotten a loaner car and it was a 2006 Mercury Milan. It was a little bit different than my car. Only one thing that I couldn’t solve was the over head lights were on while I was driving the car. When I figured it out was a light switch by the lights for the headlights. I’m glad that the battery didn’t died on me. I drove the car for 2 weeks. I was glad to have my car back looking almost new. Except for my little scratch on the driver’s side on the back wasn’t fixed. That one I did rubbed a post office mailbox and I pulled in to close. That was almost 5 years ago. I did hit another deer that same year that was 8 months after. That car was totaled. I drove a 2009 Ford Escape for a week. I had to give up driving the Milan. I drove my father’s big SUV for 3 months which was a 2008 Ford Expedition. My mother decided to traded the Expedition for a 2015 Ford Escape. I still drive the Escape for a little bit of 4 years.

Yea this crazy one used to bark all night. I gave it a huge yard with food and water during the day yet it would always run away through the woods. Idiot dog. Everyone in the neighborhood brought it bac. some kids wanted to keep her, I should of been all "here ya go, good luck"

Off of 2010-2012 Ford Fusions. The knob costs less than $10 at junkyards.
