that 3 finger down copy all has just changed my life! thanks!
😂 Yeah, I was pretty happy to find that nugget as well!
There’s something about a professional showing you a basic yet profound workflow that just hits home very potently
Thank you very much for the kind comment and for watching!!
would love to see a full class on this. Your detail work is always so impressive
Thank you very much for the feedback. I would have to do characters that aren't copyrighted but I could probably do parodies or my own creations. I will probably do that since I really enjoy drawing fan art this way!
Im here to learn 🙏
I hope the video helps!
Awesome video and fantastic work!
Also totally with you on the peaceful music. Back when I was in my teens, my friends used to make fun of me for listening to new age stuff like Tangerine Dream and David Arkenstone while I was drawing because it really helped me tune the world out and be present with my art. It's like the creative version of sleeping with a white noise machine! 🤣
I like the way you put that, "present with my art". It's too easy to think we are there but really our mind is racing and we are not really focused. Then the art seems to suffer and it can lead to frustration.
Peaceful music seems to be working for now so I will keep using it. Plus, it really just helps me to destress which I need from time to time anyways. Thanks for watching the video and for commenting!
I've taken to listening to relaxing jazz, like the kind they quietly play in fancy coffee shops. The perfect ambient white noise for drawing, cooking, writing, and just doing chores around the house.
@@DerekMoore82 Yes!!! I actually do this when I'm cooking; I ask my Google Home to play "coffeehouse jazz" and it usually ends up being fantastic!
@@RobertMarzullo You're welcome!
Unfortunately I don't draw much anymore but I have so many fond memories of just sinking into the art and the music and letting everything else just slip away....such a sublime space to be in!
Keep up the awesome videos! :)
Helpful and inspiring as always … thanks Robert! 😀🎨
Nice vid! I love the time elapse feature in procreate! And that’s a great idea listening to soft relaxing sounds/ music when drawing, I usually listen to hard rock lol. 1 more thing, I saw a red Ram truck yesterday with the huge black letters “RAM” on the back of the bed and I was thinking you should have a truck like that 😂 🤣
The time lapse feature is awesome and the fact that I don't have to remember to hit record is even better. I still like rock as well, just more for working out these days but really it probably depends upon the piece of art. If I draw Venom I would probably switch to rock.
By the way, I drive a black Dodge RAM! 😁😁😁
This is awesome Robert!
Looks awesome, thanks for sharing! Since I got procreate I find myself using it more and more over Photoshop, it's a pretty impressive little program.
It really is packed with a lot of the great features that I like to use. Plus it has a really clean interface that I think helps for staying in the moment. Thanks for watching!
New viewer and appreciate your teaching style!
WOW IT WORKED!!!!! THANKS MAN
Thanks RAM..
You're welcome and thank you for watching!
First love your art
Thank you for being 1st! :)
Incredible work Rob!
Thank you and Killer name!! ;)
This is pretty cool, Mr. Marzullo I was wondering are if you are going to design more fantasy creatures like orcs, elves, or even aliens in your next video?
More procreate tuto please
Will do and thank you for watching!
You can change the unit of length in the preferences if you wanna go for print to millimetres.
Thank you for the advice Michael. I will give that a try. Thanks for watching!
@@RobertMarzullo Learnt it from Judge Dredd artist PJ Holden in a video, when demonstrating Clip Studio Paint and what settings he use, he said if you're working for print change the unit of length in preferences to millimetres.
Hard to change the unit of length in Krita which some people are considering after Clip Studio are going subscription because it's not designed for print.
@@michaelmcdonnell3905 I will have to watch that video. I think I am going to play around with Krita today. A lot of people bring it up these days. Thanks again!
Love this video. I bought your brush set, which great, but do you have a video explaining how you use them? I’m curious to where and why you would use the comic inker vs the outside line brush etc… thanks in advance.
I generally use the Comic Inker for the interior lines and the cross hatching. The Outliner would just be for the outside lines and line weight.
It's all just preference though. Sometimes I get in the habit of just using one brush that I like and adjusting the settings as I move through the work.
Just experiment and do what feels right to you. Remember you can swipe over and duplicate the brush and play around with your own settings. Just remember to rename the brush so you don't confuse it with one you already like!
Short name from Robert-Bob. I had a friend Bob is also good at .drawing.
Robert, Hi. Cool art. But i think about 600dpi its very much. Thank you for brushes. I take.
Yes, it is a lot. Ultimately I just gauge it on the line clarity that I want and the amount of layers it gives me. I could probably push that back down a bit further. Thank you for your comment!
Great work but when you resized the canvas, why wouldn’t you just start with those settings ?
Part of it is just habit because I tend to remember 1920x1080 easier and I work across other programs with the same approach. The other is that I prefer to sketch at a lower resolution.. It seems to feel more natural for me but I get it, it seems like unnecessary steps. Thanks for watching and for commenting!
How do you do you line work without having that weird start stop scratchy look?
I don't exactly know what you mean. Can you send me a screen shot? You can use my contact form at www.ramstudioscomics.com and I will see if I can offer some advice. Thanks for watching!
I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 plus tab that I bought for drawing but sadly I knew about procreate and people really say good things about it the whole time…shall I trade my tab for iPad Air 5th gen?
How do I get the brusches
