  • In today's video I break down my comic art process and show you the stages of the work. This should give you a better understanding on how to keep moving forward during your scene creation.
Just like a painter has to deal with the "UGLY" stage of the work, we also have to persevere and trust our vision. This along with various techniques on how to make changes and remain productive.
I also share some techniques on drawing and editing the backgrounds of your comic scenes. I will be bringing you more perspective drawing videos very soon. Let me know what else you want me to cover and I will get it on my list!
Thanks for your continued support of this channel. We are almost at 250,000 subs and I couldn't have done it without you!! :)

Hey man, I just bought your book on Amazon. 40 year old going to throw his hand at drawing 🙂 Have been watching art channels for a long time out of interest and amazement. Love your channel and your work. From Ireland 🇮🇪

1 point perspective looks great here! More importantly your background tells a nice story...She high up since we can see she's above one of the buildings yet below the birds. Nice attention to detail with the water tower and cornices. You are a fantastic artist. I'd probably dial down the thickness of her right quadricep, my eye keeps going to that. Thanks for the video I've been drawing with markers and desktop photoshop for decades now trying procreate on an iPad. Very helpful! Thanks!

Thank you very much for the cool comment and I do see what you mean about her quads. I will keep an eye out for that next time. Good luck with your transition to Procreate and I appreciate you watching the video!

When someone who really can draw, say that their initial sketch is really bad while it still looks better than my finished ones, it really makes you think xD
Nonetheless, keep up the good work, It's great to hear your thoughts. And i will continue with your courses!

Don't bother comparing. It's all subjective anyways. We all do certain things well and we all see areas in our work that bug us. It's just part of the game! Thanks for watching and for taking the course content!

I think that’s a pretty solid background. I know what you mean about having misgivings while playing with it, but it holds up for sure.

Awesome drawing! I thought it looked great, then you did the 3 point perspective and it made it even better! More dynamic.
    What is the Facebook group?

Thanks! Yeah, I probably should have used a 3 Point Perspective. Live and learn! The group is called, "Learn How to Draw Comics and Superheroes."

3 point would be more dynamic/ unique and appealing but the drawing looks great otherwise.
1 thing you should probably do is blend the BG buildings n details a bit with the sky so that it doesn't compete for attention with the subject. The subject should stand out more from the bg.

Ugh, I hate drawing backgrounds too. I'm so terrible with that.

It can feel like a choir but they really do help the viewer feel more immersed. They get easier over time and there are lots of tricks to pick up along the way. Thanks for watching!

@RobertMarzullo A chore, you mean? I think that's what you meant. That's how they feel to me. I would be interested to see if you have some more videos on perspective. Thank you for the content. I love seeing some good time lapses of good art.
