Its like a rose-gold colour
The before restoration reminded me of the Rolls Royce that Keith Moon drove into a swimming pool. Now, that’s an idea for you for a diorama......
Brilliant!
The wheels look so good with this model, good idea keeping them.
The color was outstanding. A gold-rose color, is what it reminded me of. Beautiful resto-mod.
That Rolls looks great!! It's kind of a salmon color!! Everything looks awesome!!! Red and yellow make orange and red and green make brown. Excellent restoration +!! 👍👍👍👍
The exterior colour you choose Rob, works very well with the tan coloured interior. Job well done!
I would call that a rose gold color. I think it definitely suits the car, great job.
That is a great colour choice. It looks very much like something Rolls Royce would use. Awesome!
Thanks for keeping the videos flowing during difficult times...
I use red and yellow to make orange, the gold really made this red color beautiful. Nice job!
Very nice, that rose gold colour could have been an original Lesney colour from the 60s
I believe I would call that one a rose pink, and it looks lixurious. This looks like a very proper restoration.
The rose gold color is fantastic! Great work!
This is one of my favorite castings from Matchbox. It's also my favorite body style of Rolls-Royce. That color is very pretty, like a metalic light salmon.
I love this one! My Roller was similar to the end color when it was new. After 38 years and 6 different owners it was painted black. I need this one!
Lovely rose pink colour, looks like a 70's rock star's car.
That looks great, Rob. I would call that colour Rose metallic. Suits the car well.
I completely agree, no one should go in bareback. Protection is a must in all things!
Great colour. Sort of Salmon Pink. Would be a nice car for vacationing at the coast.
Nicely done, sir. Pink or salmon would probably be the best way to describe the color.
That is "Dusty Rose" - My mother used to buy that shade of colour for materials for her drapery business. Great name for the car too!
glad you made it from Scrappy to Shiny. it looks lovely
What a huge transformation! great job, Rob.
It reminds of the sort of copper-tone color that used to be popular on tri-five restomods. Something close to this color looks great in a hammer paint variety on vintage tool boxes. It's just a little bit dark to be rose gold. I love what you mixed up. Very vintage, extremely cool.
came out really nice , to me looks like a dusty rose color , keep up the great work :)
I like that color. It's kind of a champagne metallic. Looks like it could have been an original color since Matchbox painted some of the fancier cars in those kind of colors. Well done.
Wow, it looks fantastic! I'd call that colour "Prawn Cocktail", lol
Rolls Royce Salmon Shadow ... Really nice!
Another great one! I would call it a Rose Gold, like with jewelry. I agree with you, it is always a good idea to have a rubber for protection, 👍.
Red and yellow make orange Rob, Black and red make brown. None the less a great resto buddy! Peace. respect and stay safe. Ben
I had this as a kid. You are correct. The color is perfect.
Love the Salmon Pink perfect colour....suits the Rolls to a T.....
I've got one of those unrestored. My favorite generation of Rolls-Royce
I love it when people argue not to restore and keep them original. Well that model crossed the line years ago.
Well Done! I’d call it Salmon. Nice job! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It great to see this car in another colour other than the common red. It suits it much better. Sometimes winging it works out. No pun intended.....
Absolutely fantastic restoration and color metallic salmon
That color really looks great, hope you kept the recipe for the mix so you can use it again sometime. I didnt notice if you sprayed inside the boot or not? Sorry about the rubber gloves, certainly tough trying to use the left glove on the right hand...lol. Take good care and have a good day.
Stunning result Rob. You should copyright that colour. Love it
Lovely restoration, Rob. I was lucky enough to own the real deal some years back. Absolutely loved it.
Great colour choice here. Matchbox made a superb job of the casting. It looks correct in every way. Thanks as always.
Beautiful old Rolls
"I needed some kind of rubber for protection, even if it was backwards."
- Rob, 2020
one day he'll bring out a book full of all those innuendos.
Absolutely beautiful color! Id call it a metallic salmon. Very unique. Now highly desirable. Really very well done. I doubt this could be replicated to hang satisfactory degree...!
Super color !! I really like what you did here. Just right RR touches to make it beautiful again
Looks to me as metallic coral or salmon, and I also imagine Sir Elton John on the back seat. Great resto, lovely little car 👍
I would call the color like a light rose. It is beautiful
I think you're closest guess was probably salmon. It is a very cool color. Car came out very nice. I would drive it. Stay safe.
Just stunning totally stunning
Ooo, very nice and regal, Rob. I'd call the colour Coral Pink I think.
It came out awesome, I would say that color is somewhat of a rose gold 👍👍😊
Another superb restoration, Rob.
The Antique Rose metallic colour is perfectly Rolls Royce and think leaving the original wheels was the right way to go.
Best wishes from sunny Suffolk.
Beautiful job thank you
Didn’t want go in bareback , wanted a rubber 🤣🤣🤣 brilliant 👏👏
Beautiful paint job, looks like a dark rose gold. Would love to have ot my collection .
Very nice car. the color reminds me of rose goldish. Spot on Rob
AMAZING!!! that came out super clean, very sharp details.
Colour "tickled pink champagne rose' nice...decent resto..keep them coming ..will keep you sane during lockdown..keep safe regards from down under Blackwood South Australia 👍👍❤️😎
The colour suits it well.
It looks beautiful Rob and a great colour.
Well done, Jeff
Nice model I can remember having as a kid in Gillingham circa 1974.
More recently, I stubbled upon one at a carboot sale. Til now, I've only been able to find the recasting with opening driver/passenger doors (pale gold with white interior, silver with red interior and gloss dark red with white interior), so a vintage job was welcomed. Like being reunited with an old friend again.
Clever touch with freeing the rubber tyres from the hubs by the way, superb tip!!
Colour? I would say a Metallic Rosé Pink is a suggestion
Utterly Magnificent looking model mate, nice work!!
Rob would say it’s a pinky rose gold colour, good job 👏🏻
That's gorgeous Rob, well done !
My internet has been utter bollocks today, but thankfully I can still watch videos
Looks better than when it was new
Colour is almost a rose gold.Looks nice
Loving the rose pink rolls you could imagine the white leather seats and trim with a wooden dash simply a beautiful car. Great style.
This turned out beautifully!
Always liked Shadows, they drove really well and weren't awful to work on.
This is a gorgeous colour. Red and yellow make orange lol. Try turning the rubber glove inside out and it will fit.
It's a really beautiful color.
Nice one Rob, a real classy finish. Like the note below this would look good in Monte Carlo.
As a child I had this model as a Superfast in the original red. I like the novel shade you chose for this one...perhaps you could paint the next Silver Shadow in a solid dark green with a tan brown interior.
Love the colour
Beautiful! Seems like a custom color you might see on a real Rolls
i love the car. i had one by metal car in the 80's. dark brown. it was beautiful
Love the color, don't know what to call it, but it fits the car.
You always talk about mama's nail vanish when somebody's over paints a car. Well that colours looks like a kinda nail vanish colour, Metallic coral pink maybe. Anyway I could image Elton John being limoed about in that very easily. Cool job Rob as usual.
Love that color and all the details!
unF........ing believable !!!!! it is gorgeous rob😍😍😍😍😍
Nice work Rob the paint really does suit it .
Master restorer! Beautiful result, like you I love that colour, you really transformed this model, it’s a 10 from me! 👌👍😊
Wow what a difference 😁 looks amazing and I love the color,,Rob you've done it again!! Thanks for sharing and as always "Howdy from Texas mate 😁"!!
I honestly thought this was a dinky at first glance. Never seen a matchbox like this one with the wheels. Pretty neat.
Remember Rob, no glove, no love.
Ah-little rubber for protect never hurt, mate😁
Great Job Rob stay safe my friend.
Really beautiful restore.
Looks better in your color
That's an amazing transformation! I have to agree with you though...I don't know exactly what color to call the end result, but I also think it suits it quite well. Nice job!
Awesome build and paint job 👌
A SUPERIOR restoration job!!.. Looks better than it did when it left the Lesney Factory!!.. Keep up the great work Bud!!
Nice job on the small fine details too!!
Red and yellow make orange. It looks like what I've heard called " rose gold". As I have said before , my favorites are the really raggedy ones brought back to their former glory and then some...kinda reminds me of FAB - 1 from the old Thunderbirds show...
Red and yellow give ya orange. The gold I think gives you a salmon color. I'm working on the 1979 issue of this car (nothing opens.) Yours turned out GORGEOUS!!!!!!!
Beautiful color came out great
i love this color. i would call it rose
I love the color Rob. I think I’d call that color Rob Red
Now that’s classy...
This one turned out amazing! Great job!
I'd have to see the color in person in natural daylight but until then I'd call it raspberry metallic ;) Nice work Rob. The color does suit a Rolls of that era.
I love this color as well!
