So when I am a slim guy (glutenfree sugarfree vegan) but my belly is very big even though I eat healthy, it can be a sign that I am insulin resistance?
Galliano Marr yes it is an indicator of hyperinsulinaemia. Being vegan does not mean you get to avoid elevated insulin levels. Fruits, grains, and potatoes in particular all raise insulin especially if you eat them regularly.
High carb intake. Look into keto. I have been managing type 2 diabetes for 22 years on keto. Back then it was Atkins. Keep in mind the worse thing next to sugar is fat and carb combo.
No, carbs don't cause insulin resistance. It's fructose found in refined sugar (sucrose) and in a lot of processed foods. Fructose gets turned into visceral fat by your liver and gets stored there, alongside other organs, that creates fatty liver and other fatty organs, AND -- that creates insulin (alongside leptin) resistance.
To reverse it, it's quite simple: 1) don't make it worse obviously, stop consuming high doses of fructose (no sugar in teas, coffees, etc, no soft drinks, and buy processed foods with maximum of 2-4 grams of added sugar per 100 grams). And you can eat fruits, it's fine. 2) Try doing somekind of a fasting protocol -- like 16/8 split. Or simply delay your breakfast when you wake up. Fasting is by far the most effective tool against visceral fat (and insulin, leptin resistances). Your body prioritizes using visceral fat first before using the subcutaneous fat when absent of food (this is great).
Sorry but I had to turn this video off after a few minutes. Are you reading (badly) from a typed out script? I can hear your voice faltering. But i'm hopeful that some constructive criticism will add value to the videos you produce, thus increasing the value to listeners.
